    **** ***** #********, ***** and ******, Love of Travel, US Oct ***** 2024 I paid deposit in Feb for October trip with 3 friends and sharing room with ****. I was sold the trip very rushed, fast without a lot of explanation It turned out in July, ****** needed surgery for her back and **** was not able to go due to needing physical therapy for walking. I called to cancel, talked to **** and several different people, many calls and no **nsistent resolution as I **uld fill out claim form and get money back or **uld get credit for deposit or nothing back. ****** also called and no **nsistent answers. Also I expl to **** that I never asked for the $449 travel insurance and wasnt aware I would not get refunded. I tried the claim form and problem is I need Barbs info **** but she has not seen ** yet and Im not sure physical therapy would be **vered. ****** sold her ticket to the other friends husband. But Im the one left hanging as I had no one to replace ticket that soon so I lose my $749. I understand Go Ahead is a great **mpany and I am retired ~ ready to travel. I was able to get all my money back on a trip with another ** just before Covid by just calling, no issues.

    Wed like to clarify that we have a standard cancellation policy, which is outlined in our terms and conditions that all travelers must approve and sign before booking. This policy is in place because, as soon as a booking is made, we begin organizing departures and making arrangements that incur costs, which is common practice across many travel companies.

    While we understand you did not intend to sign up for the travel insurance, were glad that you did, as its the best way to get the cancellation fee reimbursed. Its also important to note that travel insurance is non-refundable, especially in this case where it will be used to help cover the cancellation fee.

    Were sorry to hear that there may have been confusion among your travel companions regarding the documentation required for claims. Were happy to provide any necessary documents from our side to help with your claim, but please note that any medical information required must be submitted by the traveler.

    Were truly sorry that you were unable to join the tour this time, but we hope that one day youll have the opportunity to travel with your friends.

    First time traveling with this tour company and it will be the last time. Booked the Oktoberfest Historic Germany tour. Every single hotel listed on their website as frequently used for this tour was changed. In my opinion the hotels we stayed in were not of equal quality as the ones listed. The first hotel in ******, Arcotel Velvet Berlin - A/C was not working for the three nights we were there. I have gone on many tours with other tour companies and NEVER have all the hotel been changed from what was listed on the website. If a hotel was changed due to unforeseen circumstances, the replacement hotel was usually better than the previous one.Also, this company charges one euro for a bottle of water. All other companies, two bottles of water are complimentary. It's not like their tours are inexpensive. If you add the cost of the trip and all the optional tours, the amount is equal to Gate 1/Discovery Tours small groups. And G1 offers weekly ************, buyer beware!!!

    While we do frequently use the hotels listed on our website, during peak travel seasons, its sometimes necessary to use similar properties to accommodate our groups due to additional bookings at our preferred hotels. In these cases, we always strive to select hotels that meet our quality standards while also considering location to ensure a convenient and comfortable stay.

    We apologize for the issue you experienced with the air conditioning at the *********************. While we dont have control over hotel-specific amenities like air conditioning, we do expect hotels to provide the amenities they promised, and we appreciate your feedback regarding this property. 

    Regarding the charge for bottled water, its important to note that we do not provide bottled water on every tour, as we have our own company-wide environmental policies. We encourage travelers to bring their own refillable water bottles, as there are many opportunities to access drinking water for free. This helps reduce waste and ensures travelers have what they need to stay comfortable throughout the tour.

    Dishonest and greedy.A friend and I booked a tour to ******* on Sept. 26th and on Sept. 30th cancelled it. I was still billed the full amount several days later. They were unresponsive by email and website. Getting them on the phone involved being on hold for 1.5 hours, with repeated calls made to get an answer finally. They took a 30% fee for cancellation and basically said Good luck trying to get the trip cancellation insurance to pay the balance. On the phone the person was rude and unhelpful. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

    Our recent food and wine tour in ****** was overall very instructive and enjoyable. The travel was well organized. The locations selected satisfied our expectations. The wine tours were vey good. The foods were representative of local fare. Only a couple of things were problematic. At least one of the events did not satisfy and the final dinner was in an extremely loud distracting location., plus the food was sub par. We would definitely use EF again.

    I just completed the ***********, *******, ******* and ****** tour where the tour leader, ******, was extremely prepared, organized and caring for each travellor's need, safely and goals identified. ****** ensured that everyone had fun and was looked after as best as possible. Amazing person, tour leader and individual who did an amazing job to look after 38 of us our group. Secondly, *****, our tour bus driver, also demonstrated a superb level of confidence, care and safety for all passengers. This tour provided lots of highlights of history, scenery, beauty and enjoyment. The one detail I would like to have experienced was to schedule a 2nd day in ********* while ****** could have taken 2 days to explore vs 3 days. Furthermore, I, as a Canadian travellor experienced many, many, many technical issues with information on the goaheadtour app before and during the tour! this was extremely frustrating as I did not receive a daily tour itinerary at all! Each and every occasion that I contacted the office regarding lack of tour information, I was informed of issues that the company was having with their IT as updates were being done. For myself, I found this very inexcusable--especially over a period of 3 weeks plus pre as well as during the tour!!!!!!!!This tour is one that needs to specify that it is extremely enduring for seniors who physically have difficulty walking or with mobility concerns. A tour more modified specifically for this age group is what I gathered from my experience on this trip from fellow participants.

    This was my first EF tour. I had a fantastic time. Our tour guide was great. Because of a cancelled flight in *******, due to mechanical issues, my friends and I missed the first day of the tour. Our tour guide worked with us so we were still able to experience our excursion.

    I paid off my Oct 2024 ******* tour in Jan 2024. My flight pkg was $1300. I was suppose to get flight info between Aug 2 to 12. When I didn't I started contacting EF. 1st by phone, they weren't taking calls because of 'update to internal system'. Only urgent or if your trip was less than 60days they would take your call. I did 'chat' and email. Finally got an email response days later. My flight pkg was upcharged $400 (now $1700). My airline app showed my ticket at $789.70. I asked for an itemized invoice asking what the extra $900 was being used for. This was their email responce "We are unable to provide an itemized list of our itineraries, as the cost that we get from the airlines within our flight packages is within our agreements with them. Usually, what our travelers see online is different from what the airlines offer us, and as flight itineraries are airports are changed closer to tour, the cost of the change and the difference of flight packages is provided to us from the airlines themselves within our agreements with them." I realize the 'flight pkg' pays for more services than just your ticket but you'd think the original charge with an extra $500 would cover that, what is $900 covering? One reason for upcharge was because it was close to my travel date. One lady in my group received her flight pkg Jan 29, 2024. My tour invoice was paid in full Jan 2, 2024. They had plenty of time to arrange my flight pkg earlier to get a better deal. Why am I being penalized because they waited past the deadline? Their flight team dropped the ball. What's being hidden that they can't offer an itemized invoice? I recommend if you use EF Go Ahead Tours don't use their flight pkg.

We want to assure you that the price provided to you reflects the rates and terms negotiated with our airline partners. Its typical for flight prices to be released ***** days prior to departure, and it is rare for them to be available sooner than that. We also understand that prices can vary, and we encourage travelers to research options to find the best fit for their needs.

    Regarding the price increase, we offered you the option for your augmented gateway and a direct flight, with the $1300 being the price we could honor if you chose to stay with your original gateway.
