  Airport transfers are difficult. They may leave you waiting at the airport for hours without telling you what's going on. They may put you on a bus with other tourists who are sick. They may put your fellow tourists on a chartered coach bus directly to the airport but give you a voucher for a more public or semi-public, multi-leg route. All of these things happened to me.Customer service is hard to work with. They're hard to get ahold of. When you do get a person on the phone, they're not empowered to do much for you and they'll read you a script meant to appease you. They say they'll send you an email with information, but the email never materializes. They put you in a loop of numbers to call and emails to send or receive that never gets you to anyone who can help you. When you talk to a person, they may tell you that they have "no specific information about your tour."The"any reason" trip protection plans seem to be less actual insurance and more of a voucher program where you can take another tour but not get your money back. If you want to make a claim, you need a certificate number that no one can give you. If you call the insurance company, they tell you that you have to email, but when you email, you get a pre-prepared response that has nothing to do with you or your question but sends you to a multitude of different emails and phone numbers that send you on other futile chases.

We clarify on our website that this benefit is not insurance but a separate Go Ahead offering, providing vouchers instead of cash refunds.   They know how to assist you when your flight(s) need to be changed and how to give you a good vacation from sharing the culture to telling you the knowledge. I don't need to plan this vacation as it is already taken care of for me.

  Was completely amazing the perfect fit for travelers that enjoy preplanned tours and experiences. Three trips so far and no real problems. Issues with airlines. But that can not be controlled by this company.

  I did the Central Europe tour and loved it! All the hotels were very comfortable and ***** our tour guide was fantastic. She arranged for us to take extra excursions like The Sound of Music Tour which was a lot of fun. The local tour guide in each city were excellent and very knowledgeable. They were able to show us around to the best sites in each city. This was my first time in ****** and I highly recommend this tour. I am already looking to book another tour with EF Go Ahead Tours.

  My Wife and I went on a trip for our 35th wedding anniversary with EF Go Ahead Tours. We were informed of all the steps being made for flights, accommodations, extra tour excursions etc. We were sent a package of luggage tags and name tags for ID by the Tour Director upon arrival. The itinerary was as stated in the trip description on the website. The tour was as discussed in the tour description on the website including how demanding the schedule would be including walking 2-3 miles daily. The Tour Director was so patient and kind to everyone no matter how demanding some became over things that were not in anyones control. We made it to every excursion on time and ready to board all forms of transportation and the trip as a whole was the trip of a lifetime. We will plan another trip with EF Go Ahead Tours in the near future.

  The tour was a class act all the way. Our guides, bus driver and city guides were all knowledgable and friendly. The accommodations were very nice and the trip was well planned. I do believe the physical demands were a bit understated.

  Every aspect of my experience with EF Tours was perfection. So much so that Im going back for round two next summer! Every detail is important to them and even if a hiccup arises, they are right there to make it better. 10000/10 would recommend!

  I just returned from a tour with Go Ahead tours. The itinerary was fantastic, as was the guide and the local guides we had along the way. There was a nice combination of structured time and free time. Lots of ways to thoroughly get to know the area and enjoy the travel. However everything fell apart when it came to travel home. Our flight home was cancelled, for good reason, technical issues with the plane. The resulting confusion was beyond belief. I understand that it is the airline responsibility to hand this issue, however, the airline lied to all of us, saying that meals, hotel rooms, transportation, and rebooking would be handled for all. I know this is not the fault of Go Ahead tours. However, Go Ahead made the travel arrangements, booked the tickets, and when everything fell apart there was absolutely no one to advocate for the travel group. It was everyone for themselves with people stuck in a foreign city with no help whatsoever from the tour. We were stuck in the middle of the night with no help standing outside the airport terminal trying to figure out what to do next. Considering the cost of the tours, and the fact that tickets were booked by Go Ahead, there should have been someone to contact who could advocate for people who trusted Go Ahead to take care of them. I felt like Go Ahead felt the tour was over and they had no responsibility to help. I travel with the group for safety sake and I felt totally abandoned to deal with it on my own. In my opinion, they should take some responsibility for the tour group until everyone is safely home. Surely with all the bookings they do with the airlines, they could appoint someone to advocate for tour members in this circumstance. I was scared and disappointed..
