Before today March/17/2022 I have never stepped foot inside this gym before. I should have been notified of a memebership set up a year ago in my name. North cypress fitness 1606 S magnolia street hammond la 70403 is saying I owe a amount they won't they wouldn't provide me. It's 600 dollars or so the paperwork they gave me cut out the amount due. Apparently a membership was set up in 1/20/21 a year and 2 month later they called me saying I owe them and they are sending to debt collectors. There is something funny going on I have never stepped foot in this gym and I asked them to provide that info so I can show that. They have a picture of my license but not the back of it so I can verify it's real. They staff told me if a member ship was set up that It needed be canceled to avoid charges. The information was obviously stolen because I didn't get any charges taken out of my account. The paperwork does not state that a person needs to cancel the member ship to avoid being charged so it should have been frozen or canceled at the first sign of fraud. I have never stepped foot inside this establishment or received any notification about what was going on. I have never used there services and never will. It's clear to the company I have never used there services. The iPad they showed me shows only the one transaction on the day of opening the member ship and that's all. I explained that to them yet they told me they can not provided me with that information. Which they should so I can prove I have never been there before. I had to push a shove with the guy I was dealing with until the manager came over. I explained to the manager that they can't keep this information from me. I got my copy of the contract but not the visit log they are with holding. The contract is clearly tampered and the credit card information is not in my handwriting or signature. Dates have been scribbled on or scratched out. This is ridiculous and the employees may be abusing info.
