I went to apply for a personal loan and discovered a bill that I never received or any phone calls on. That went into collections. When I called them about it they were extremely rude. I asked them for verifications and the break downs for these collection fees. They haven't sent me anything and reused to cooperate with me. I even called both the hospital and anesthesia clinic both had no record of the bill or it being sent to collections. I was doubled covered for everything I had Aetna and Medicaid to cover the costs of my baby's birth.

Please be advised that Synerprise Consulting Services, Inc. has investigated this matter.  We have verified with the creditor, NPH Anesthesia of Utah, that the balance is correct.  Aetna was billed by the creditor, but informed them that the patient's coverage wasn't active for that date of service.  There was no other medical insurance on file.  The creditor sent four statements to the consumer by mail to the address on file, but did not receive a response.  A text message was also sent to the consumer on 3-4-2024 at the same number provided to the BBB.  The text message asked for the consumer to contact their office regarding the insurance, but the creditor did not receive a response from the consumer.  A copy of the signed released can be requested from the facility, American Fork Hospital, regarding the date of service 12-29-2023.

      From: ****** *****
      Date: July 15, 2025
Subject: Response to Synerprise Consulting Service's Statement

      Dear Dispute Resolution Team,

Thank you for notifying me of the response from Synerprise Consulting Services regarding my complaint.

After carefully reviewing their statement, I must express that I do not find their response satisfactory. I still have significant concerns and unresolved issues regarding the validity and handling of this alleged debt.

      Here are my main concerns:

      1. Lack of Proper Validation:
Despite multiple requests (both by myself and through my mother), Synerprise Consulting has refused to provide proper documentation validating the debt. I have not received a copy of the original itemized bill, the contract that shows I owe this amount, or the signed agreement for services from the original provider.

      2. Disputed Medical Coverage Claim:
The provider, NPH Anesthesia of Utah, claims that Aetna stated my insurance was inactive on the date of service (12/29/2023). However, both Aetna and Medicaid have confirmed that I had active coverage at the time. I have contacted the hospital where I delivered, and they also verified that my bills were covered and they do not recognize Synerprise as one of their collection agencies.

      3. False Claims of Communication Attempts:
Synerprise stated that a text message was sent to me on March 4, 2024. I searched my phone thoroughly and initially could not find such a message. However, after going through unknown and blocked numbers, I did find a message that said it was from “ANPH Anesthesia of Utah LLC.” The message was vague, didn’t mention Synerprise Consulting, and gave no clear indication of a debt. I never received a single mailed bill, nor did I receive any other messages or calls directly identifying this debt.

      4. Inconsistent Business Practices & Disputed Amounts:
There are conflicting pieces of information between what Synerprise has provided and what I have gathered through direct communication with the hospital and insurance companies. Additionally, I have filed disputes with all three credit bureaus and placed fraud alerts due to these inconsistencies.

      5. Ongoing Investigation and Identity Theft Claim:
Because of Synerprise’s unwillingness to validate the debt properly and the questionable behavior I’ve experienced, I have also filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and submitted fraud paperwork to TransUnion. Equifax has marked the item as verified, but I am continuing to dispute this based on the unresolved issues and incomplete evidence provided.

      ---

      Conclusion:
I respectfully request that Synerprise Consulting either provide proper and full validation of the debt as required by law or remove this account from my credit report. Until they do, I will continue to pursue all legal and formal dispute avenues available to me.

Thank you for your continued assistance.

      Sincerely,
      ****** *****

      Customer Answer

      Date: 07/16/2025

      To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally reject the response provided by Synerprise Consulting Services regarding the medical debt they have claimed I owe.

While I did receive medical care on December 29, 2023, the day my son was born, the charge Synerprise is attempting to collect does not match any known bill from the hospital or providers who were involved in my care that day. Additionally, the balance and information they’ve provided do not align with what was billed through my known insurance coverage.

Furthermore, Synerprise initially claimed they had contacted me via text message regarding this bill. However, when I showed proof that I never received such a message, the company suddenly reduced the amount owed without any explanation. This unexplained change raises serious concerns about the legitimacy and accuracy of the original debt.

Despite multiple requests, Synerprise has failed to provide:

An itemized bill or detailed statement from the original provider.

Documentation that shows my insurance was billed and denied properly.

Proof that I owe this adjusted balance to them or to the provider.

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), I have the right to a clear, documented validation of any debt being collected. Until I receive that, I am requesting that this dispute remain open or be closed in my favor, and that the claim be removed from any credit reporting databases.

Thank you for your time and support.

      Sincerely,
      ****** *****

This is a follow-up complaint because the original case was marked “closed” before I could provide a rebuttal. I responded within the 10-day period, yet was not given the chance to submit crucial evidence. The balance Synerprise is attempting to collect is invalid. I was never contacted by text or phone as they claim. I have proof from my OB office stating that I have no outstanding balances, and that whatever Select Health didn’t cover, Medicaid paid in full. Furthermore, they incorrectly stated I received services on January 5, 2024 — my son was already born on December 29, 2023, and no services were rendered on that date. After submitting proof of their false claims, Synerprise quietly reduced the balance — which proves they knew their original reporting was inaccurate. This situation has caused damage to my credit, as they reported this to Equifax and other bureaus without proper notice or verification. RESOLUTION REQUESTED: Full refund Immediate removal of this account from all credit bureaus Written confirmation that my account is closed and resolved Repair of damage done to my credit report I am happy to provide full documentation again if needed. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, ****** *****

      Business Response

      Date: 07/21/2025

The current balance is owed to NPH Anesthesia of Utah and we are not collecting for the OB office.  Our previous response stated the date of service was 12-29-2023 and this matter is not in reference to any services from 1-5-2024.  The creditor applied a discount of $900 toward the account on 7-16-2025, making the current balance $1,810.00.  If there is proof that this matter has been paid to this specific creditor, NPH Anesthesia of Utah, please provide that information so we can verify the payment.

Synerprise Consulting Services did not provide any reasonable explanation.  They in fact engaged in lying about a document, violating the FDCPA, and it seems like the BBB Midwest allows it. I've read plenty of complaints and the BBB Midwest is allowing this same company to violate innocent consumer's rights. Please provide me with who oversees the BBB Midwest? I would like the contact information.  Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:

Removal of medical debt that appears on my credit report, in accordance with updated reporting rules effective March 2025.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has issued guidance that medical debts should no longer be included in consumer credit reports. This change reflects the evolving understanding that medical debt is not a reliable indicator of creditworthiness.

I am rejecting this response because:

The mail does not show how much the debt was purchased for. How much did Synerprise Consulting Services pay for this item, credit report does not reflect such amount which is a clear violation of FCRA as this is not accurate and complete. Also, I did not request itemized statement. I requested the contract Synerprise Consulting Services has to ensure credit report reflect the amount the debt was purchased for, this is another violation. I request this collection be removed from credit report.

I honestly don’t get why SYNERPRISE CONSULTING is reporting this debt under my name because I don’t owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didn’t even bother to provide it. It’s frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and it’s just not fair. How can they just put something on my report without any proof?
