    Just purchased a new (to us) house and decided to call Bassett Services for some electrical work. We scheduled an appointment for the next day, our window was 8-12- fine. No one showed up. We call again, they say sorry, its going to have to be 2-4 tomorrow okay, fine. No one shows up. We call again, it will now be 4-6 on the same day, okay fine. NO ONE SHOWS UP. They were very eager to hype up their $20/mo service club, which we fell for hook, line, and sinker. We are now at the point where they refuse to even schedule an appointment because our case has been escalated to management. All this because I wanted to dry my clothes and needed someone to come out soon-ish. Bassett said they could do it, but have yet to actually deliver services.

    Basset Services solved my problem- thank you There was a miscommunication with one of their employees and I complained. But **** the service manager saw my complaint and called me. He then had his crew take care of our problem and they did a very professional job.Thank you Bassett we are glad to work with you.

    Bassett Services didnt fix my plumbing problem instead they gave me an estimate for $4,905 that still would not have fixed my problem. My husband fixed our plumbing problem and he is not a plumber and it took him less than 30 minutes and only $20. They wanted to tear up my house and charge me almost $5,000 for a job that only cost $20. They are just out for money. Not happy. Don't use Bassett Services.

    I was having an issue with my under cabinet lighting and thought it may be an issue with the wiring in the wall. The technician came out, took a look and said it will be $288. No explanation of what needed fixed so I assumed it was over my head and needed some real work done to repair it. 2 minutes later, he is done with the job. Says I had a bad ac power adapter, which would've been $20 to replace, but instead of informing me of this, he decided to hook the wires to my second ac adapter and charged me $288. I thought this was ethically wrong so I decided to call the company. Not for a refund but just to talk about their pricing practices. I called four times and was told they put notes in the system for someone to call me back and nobody ever did. This went on for weeks before I threw a fit and they escalated my call. Only for a manager to called me from a blocked number where he left a message telling me the pricing was correct but if I want to discuss it, I can call him back. The technician did not explain how easy of a fix it could've been for me and instead had no transparency and just charged me $288. Charging excess like this exploited my lack of knowledge on the subject and proved they prioritize profit over honest and fairness. Their practices show they don't care about customer satisfaction and have unethical practices from the top down. I will never recommend this company and will only tell everyone I know to never go with them.

    It is my understanding that the customer has spoken with *********************** the Electrical Manager.  We have agreed to refund $144 back to the customer. The refund was processed back to the customer's credit card on 6/14/2024 at ******.  An email of the refund receipt was sent to the customer.

    We have used Bassett for many years. The company is not the same after it was sold. We will not be using them in the future. We were told by a Bassett tech our system was failing, unable to be repaired and needed replaced. Had another reputable company check it and was told we were lied to. The system is fine, no repair needed and definitely does not need replaced. Also, had a couple other issues with Bassett last year. I DO NOT Recommend.

    I called the number on www.bassettservices.com. It is a call center. They know nothing. I told her that I would like to know if the company can do baseboard heater on attic to meet appraisal requirements, so that the attic is considered a living area. She put me on hold and confirmed Bassett can do that. We set up an appointment, and I also asked her to put a note for the tech that I am not sure if anything needs to be done on the electrical. This is a duplex, so I asked two tenants to stay at home for the appointments. Around appointment time, I received a text message that the tech was on the way. Later, I found out from the tenant that tech did not go onsite. The tech called tenants that he decided to do the quote based on photos. I received the quote, total around $103K. The quote is to replace lots of things from furnace, duct, A/C. No mention about heater on the attic. No mention about electrical. Some suggested replacements were less than 1 year old. Since the tech did not go onsite, he was clueless what needs to be replaced. He also clueless what the assignment was. He just quoted to replace common components. Even if items mentioned on the invoice needed replacement, the total $103K is ridiculous. The company has no respect for the customers time. People take day-off to stay at home, and tech did not show up. The tech quoted something irrelevant to what I wanted. This wasted my time.It's incompetent at all levels. The call center was clueless when I made a follow-up call. She thought I needed to install A/C on one of the units. The tech was clueless. He did not even know what the assignment was. He just quoted to replace the common components of HVAC in a home. He quoted for something that I don't need, and no quote for something that I need. The pricing was insultingly high. I can't think of anything positive about my experience with this company.

    Payed for the yearly program, scheduled a HVAC checkup with them over a month in advanced (After going through 3 people to get it scheduled). They never showed up after I got multiple email and texts confirming the appointment and called AFTER they were supposed to already be done to say they weren't coming and I had to reschedule. They now say I never actually had an appointment due to their process errors "that they are working on". They are terrible and are impossible to work with and will hold you hostage if you do the yearly program. They won't let me out of the yearly program and said I have to buy it out after I said I was over them after terrible service. They will take your money and try to do everything in their power to not do your checkups. I have had them do multiple things including plumbing checkup and electrical work and they have never showed up on time, even with the 4 hour given window. DO NOT USE THEM!

    If only zero stars was an option. Thats what they deserve. Very unprofessional company. Not worth your time or money. Theres way better a more affordable plumbing companies out there to work with. Management is unprofessional and will text you back instead of returning a call. Not a company I would work for or want to be a part of simply by seeing how they run things. Its a shame how unprofessional they treat their employees and customers. A lot of empty promises and over pricing. Last option company.

    We've been using Bassett Services since we moved to *********** permanently 10 years ago. Upon moving in, we found out our furnace and A/C system were inferior for the size of our house when our electric bills reached $650 per month. These were not Bassett installed systems, Bassett came out amongst others and we ended up going with Bassett. The price for a new Furnace, A/C Unit, plus the Water Heater we thought were very reasonably priced. Once installed and a few other adjustment around the house, our bills dropped to about $150 average per month average. Based on the savings, our system paid for itself within 18 months. Twice a year a tech comes out and services our equipment and all of them have been extremely courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and enjoyable to talk with. We now have a contract with them for other services. The last technician that serviced us said the equipment looked like it was just installed yesterday it was so clean. I can only state that our experience with Bassett Services, Inc. has been more than superior and has well exceeded our expectations and that we would not deal with anyone else.

    Think twice before you hire Bassett Services **** Heating, Cooling, Plumbing! They are very unprofessional!In early August, our next-door neighbor hired Bassett to fix a drainage problem, where water ponded in her back yard. They believed a pvc pipe running to a storm drain in our yard was clogged. They then made a mess of a corner of our backyard several hundred yards away trying to find the problem.Backhoe operator *********************** told us that another neighbors invisible fence threw them off the identity of the digging location. ***** stated they have authority to damage grass and dig trench in easements, creating mounds of dirt. The equipment damaged our lawn approx. 25 feet away from the easement, put grooves in yard from backhoe tracks. I was told by employee and later by a supervisor they were not going to repair damage and we should look to our neighbor who hired them to pay for our repairs.After numerous calls to *****, I was told once dirt dries and settles they would come out, grade, seed and put down straw. Several days later someone came out and put straw on the mess, no grading and seeding.On Oct. 9th I met with *********************** to look at the damage and hopefully get some top soil spread, yard leveled and grass seed installed. I was told by ***** that the damage was not that bad and he refused to do any repairs. He stated he owned a house, knew ******************* and by the spring the ruts would self level, grass would grow in the approx. 10ft x 25ft damaged lawn.In my opinion, Bassett Services *** is a large company that doesnt care about collateral damage to our yard. This was after a botched job that the neighbor hired them for that did not fix her problem. Do not hire them to do any work unless you plan to clean up their mess at your expense.
