My experience with Scale Computing has been disappointing from a customer relations standpoint. On multiple occasions, I received marketing promotions offering branded items or incentives for participating in sales discussions and product demonstrations. After investing time in those conversations, the promised promotional items were never shipped when no sale ultimately resulted. While I understand that not every sales opportunity turns into a purchase, promotional offers should be honored regardless of the outcome if they were presented as incentives for participation. Failing to follow through creates the impression that the promotions are being used primarily to generate sales leads rather than as genuine offers. The technology itself may be a good fit for some organizations, but my experience has left me questioning the company's follow-through and commitment to maintaining trust with prospective customers.
