Hello, my name is *************************, owner of J&b Renovations Nnj Llc, i had been part of Angie's for many years, and for many years it worked fine to my company but for the last 15 months of paying i haven't received any legit leads, i tried to fix these matters many times with my Angie's representative, **** espitua, and others but no luck, we change a couple things but it was alwas the same., at this point i am very disappointed in your service, for this reason i already summit my early cancelation, the problem now is that Angies is charging me 35% for early cancelation, the reason i am reaching you before i reach other agencies is to cancel my contract without paying this cancelation fee, as you know i already spend a lot of money in the last 15 months and i haven't received any real leads only comercial and scamers, i hope you resolve my situation, thanks.Sent from Z fold 2Business Response

We appreciate ******* for bringing his concerns to our attention and regret to hear that he has had anything but a positive experience. His Client Success Manager has been in contact with him in an effort to address his concerns, however he has opted to terminate the agreement. In addition, we have contacted ******* directly and advised him to report any lead information that he feels is inaccurate so that his Client Success Manager could better assist. As ******* has accepted all terms of the advertising agreement, the cancellation will be processed as outlined in the agreement. While we would prefer to continue on with our business partnership, we wish ******* the best in his future business endeavors.Customer Answer

Angie's is a fraud, they are lying to contractors. I am not the only one with this problem, just check all the complaint in BBB and in other forums, i believe is only fair to cancel my contract without the fee, they done it many time before, why can they do it for me, my company that work with them for many years, but for the last 2 lost of profits because them.Regards,*************************Regards,*************************Business Response

We thank ******* for reaching back out to further discuss this matter. In November 2022 when ******* first expressed his lead concerns, his Client Success Manager contacted him in an effort to come to a resolution. ******* did not reach out to us again until February 2023. The Client Success Manager again attempted to further assist, however he requested to cancel. ******* was provided with a written advertising agreement which outlines the terms of service, length of agreement and the cancellation process. As he has opted to terminate the agreement prior to the agreed upon end date, the outstanding balance is valid. We encourage ******* to contact us directly to discuss resolving the balance.Customer Answer

3 charges on my credit card of $156.13 each (January 29, February 12 and February 26, 2023). I don't have an Angi account. Called Angi this morning and they (*****) confirmed they have no account for me.Business Response
Date: 03/08/2023
We appreciate ****** bringing this to our attention, and we're sorry to hear that there's any charges to her card that she was unaware of. This is not typical, and we do take these matters very seriously. We were able to locate the charges to her card, however, they were not for her account. We have now spoken with ****** directly, and she had paid for a cleaning service for her brother's home that he had set up. When that service was created, it was not made for a single cleaning, and was set to reoccurr every couple weeks. The form of payment was never updated to her brother, and as those services came up, ******'s card was charged. As her brother would have been the person receiving the messages about the services ****** would not have been made aware of these prior.
We have processed a full refund for each of the charges in question, and depending on her card provider, may take 3 - 5 business days to show on her account statement. We have also now cancelled the recurring service as to prevent any additional charges. We have contacted our payments team to remove the card from our system. We apologize that she was not made aware by her brother that her card would continue to be charged for each of the services he was receiving, and any additional questions she has should be directed to our ************* team.

On February 25th, I called AngiList to find a person for a problem that I was having. They sent me a list of different contractors for the job! I never confirmed anyone for the job, and me phone cut off! So I called back, and talked to customer service, and was told that I have nothing scheduled. That Monday I received a text from a ****** stating he was running late, that he was on his way. I text him back explaining what I didn't have a appointment with him and he said he was told to come. I told him to have Angi to call me! Because I wanted to know why they would sent someone out without conformation? But, course I didn't get a call. On February 28th, I look at my bank account and see that Angilist has changed me $191.00 for a job that was never scheduled or done. All I want is a refund.Business Response

I cancelled a 3 month trial 2 months in. The service offered did not help me at all in any way. I have not used one lead they have offered me - there service has been worthless to me. They are still harassing and bombarding my phone and email with "leads." I have called several times and asked them to stop. After having had called this one time, they said that I owed them money or something and refused to shut off my service. I literally had to spend an hour on the phone until they told me it was shut off and there would be no charge and they hung up.I am still getting bombarded with texts and emails. I don't know what to do. I have a baby and my phone is always buzzing or ringing. I have done everything I can to stop these people for months now. I canceled the trial even.Business Response

I signed up with Angies list via a sales call from them in September of 2022. Originally they said that they would charge me $300 for a security check, but once it went through I would get the $300 back. What they failed to mention was that I would not receive the money back, they would credit my Angie account $300 instead. I only found this out via a phone conversation with Angies list. I went on a few leads that seemed very artificial and also received strange phone calls from so called customers, that in each case would ask if I could just stop by and take a look but the customer would always say they were gone out of town for a few weeks etc. I would call every month and shut off the leads for the amount of time they allotted, and was notified by email when the leads would be turned back on. I noticed a charge from my bank account from Angies list for $511 on 1/27/23 I called and advised them that I would be reversing the charges because I never got an email regarding them turning the leads back on. After talking to several people. They told me that my email had be accidentally blocked by them so I did not receive the email to advise them to put the leads on hold. They advised me that they would refund my account that amount, but I needed to wait for the refund before I could cancel my account. Well today I see that I once again have been charged the $511. I called Angies list once more and was told I have a credit on my account for $491 but I have to use that for future leads and that they cant refund me the $511. They offered to increase my credit (for future Angies leads)to $800 if I stayed with them but can not give me a refund. I refused as this is not a solution because the $511 taken from my account was not authorized by me, or a legitimate charge because they had blocked my email not allowing me to receive notices from them that they were turning the leads back on.Business Response

We appreciate ********* concern, and we're so sorry to hear that they've had this experience. After reviewing ********* account, we do see that an email would have gone through, however, ******* has repeatedly blocked emails from us, and due to this, did not receive the email notifications for when the leads would be turned off and on. We did tell ******* over the phone when they could expect the leads to be turned back on. ******* did have the credit on his account for the lead fees, which would have gone towards future leads, however, ******* did cancel their account with us. Given this we have processed the refund back to the original form of payment. Any additional questions or concerns should be directed to our ****************Initial Complaint

The person I booked to service my non-working stove in January paid several visits before determining that the problem was due to an electrical outlet. (I opted instead for a cooktop, which he procured for $30.) His total charge came to almost $2,000, which I paid to him directly. .The responses I've received from Angi Support and Angi Platform Integrity haven't adequately addressed my concerns. The last response stated that "We cannot process any refunds for payments made outside of our service. We would only be able to refund any money that was paid through Angi. " This was the $336.25 taken from my bank account on the day of the first visit. Please note that the only person who came in response to the booking was *******************************, not "***************," who according to their records was the "pro" assigned to me. This name may be a pseudonym.) ***************** seems to be a freelancer from the ********* area No information about him is available online.Business Response

I believe I have been fraudulently charged for annual fees that I haven't approved. This has been ongoing for years with NO communication from Angi. They have been charging my paypal account for the annual subscription without my knowledge or approval. I tried to speak with the company but only got the run around. I told them I suspect I am not the only one that is being charged and most of the people are not even aware of the charges. I would like a refund for the years they have charged me for services that I haven't even utilized. The contact information and phone numbers do not work for the angiplatformintegrity.com. I tried to contact the person/********************* as the complaint handler from Angi- as listed on BB website prior to filing complaint. The charges have been accruing yearly since 2016-2023. They have been it virtually impossible to contact a administrator for complaints or refunds. I would like to request any help possible-as this is plain out theft on by Angi .Earlier this am, I requested the proof of any ongoing contract-that I was told by the Angi representative that there is actually no contract for the ongoing yearly annual fees-but it is assumed unless otherwise terminated. I asked for any confirmation taht I had knowingly approved this-she couldn't provide any details. This is unacceptable as I think of how many people are being defrauded and aren't even aware of these ongoing annual charges. I simply stumbled up on it this morning in my Paypal account and realized what has been happening yearly. The representative simply offered no real explanation or correction to the problem.Although I am sure they have loopholes that make this perfectly legal it is ABSOLUTELY wrong! She tried to explain it away. Unacceptable, customer service. I also believe Paypal should be aware of the fraudulent charges as well. If this issue isn't resolved-I will also make a claim for Paypal's internal review of the Angi company.I would like top request the full amount of annual charges be refunded from 2016-2023. I can be contacted directly at *********************Business Response

This was done in 2016, and the name on the account is *****. It appears that ***** likely set up the account, but ***** was not aware of the membership. We did send an email out upon the initial activation of the membership, and emails were sent out annually prior to the renewal to give time to cancel the membership prior to the charges. We do see that ***** did speak with one of our reps on March 3rd and they did process the refunds at that time. On January 8th, after 10 months contracting with Angi's (formerly ********* services) my contract was terminated. Im filing this as a consumer because They have robbed me for over 1500$ under the guise of "fees". Prior to January 18th, i was working with a client, whom i had warned multiple times he had multiple bookings, to which he argued he did not..i thoroughly warned the client that he will be getting charged weekly for the next 5 weeks. Im not sure if there was a language barrier or what, as the client is off the boat french and even in person i had to ask hin to repeat himself. Thinking he would go through and cancel the bookings, it is apparent, he did not. And i did this all on the first booking where he had changed it from the paint job to a walk-through less than a mile away. Two weeks roll by, i go to each booking to where he disagreed and said there was no booking. I showed him otherwise and had the door slammed right in my face . So i just carried on my day. Shortly there after i get a no show warning(first lie) then i get the email not actually telling me what got me ejected(lie 2) then they said i violated their code(lie 3) and will not tell me. I can only assume this is an attempt to to protect their pride. However in my time with the platform i proved myself reliable and capable earning them far more than they should have(pay disparity can reach 65/35 favoring them)Tried for a review recently and was promptly told no and was given one of their four copy paste responses.Business Response

We appreciate *******' concern. After reviewing his complaint we can stated that the specific booking regarding a French gentleman being the reason he was removed from our network is false. Due to privacy and safety concerns, and the severity of the concern, we cannot give specific details as to the removal. However, we can state that we will not be reinstating his account. He will continue to receive the same messages from our Pro Support team as we cannot provide ******* with any further information into this matter.
We have also looked into the fees that were assessed. The majority of the fees where due to daily cash out's rather than through the batch payments that go out weekly. He did also have a number of fees that were incurred due to cancelling projects within 24 hours of the booking start time. There were a small number of fees assessed in which ******* had been over paid for projects, or paid for projects that were not completed. There were also a large number of fees that were disputed by *******, in which nearly all were reversed, and not fees were assessed. At this time we do not see any invalid fees remaining on his account. We do wish him well, and we consider this matter closed.

This company is taking customers and cleaning businesses money and not producing at all. I have got old inquiries from Angi that have already been filled. This company should no longer be in business. They took over another company and its probably the same people and changed the name. Its a complete scam. We have given. $600 blindly not thinking there is a way to scam businesses but they have.Customer Answer

I was lied to by Angi Ads. They promised 10 customers per week. To date they have given 4 fake leads. Customer doesnt respond to emails or calls or texts. I regret not researching their company. They have ripped off thousands of small business owners. I was bullied and lied to by *********************. I signed up on February 28th. On March 3 I tried to cancel. ***** said I couldnt cancel without being charged an ETF. I had to get my bank involved. Im not going to pay them anything. The contract should be voided by them.
