1 starI went on ************************** to research someone for work needed on my house. I didn't even get to look at names as there was so many much information I had to fill to get there so I gave up. Within about an hour, I received a text message from ************************** about finding workers. Then came an email. After a few days and receiving several texts and emails each day, I replied Stop to the texts and Unsubscribe from the emails. On Aug 4th I got an actual phone call from Angi but did not answer because I did not recognize the number. ***** left a voicemail message and I called the # back. Someone else answered and could not transfer me to ***** because it was a call center and they could help me. I made it VERY clear that I did not anyone contacting me anymore. The individual stopped my texts and unsubscribed me from email even though I already did that. He said "sometimes there's glitch" and it doesn't work because he didn't see I had stopped or unsubscribed. He said he made a note on my number to not contact again. He then assured me several times I would not hear from them again. My reply was "I'll believe it when I see it". Sure enough today Aug 5th I get another call from Angi and told **** that I was told I would not be contacted again. He mentioned sometimes there's a glitch again and stated he made a note that no one is to contact me again. This is extremely frustrating to continue to be contacted. This is to the point of harassment. I understand it's your business model is to provide a service however constantly contacting a customer who did not complete their search on the website is not the way to win business. I can't be the only person who has experienced this annoying behavior and it needs to stop. I will never use ************************** again and will warn anyone looking for workers to not use it. Thank youReview fromMaria D

1 star?Angies List convinced me to sign a three-month contract at $3,000 per month, totaling $9,000. In return, I did not receive a single qualified lead that could bring in enough business to even break evenlet alone make any kind of profit.I repeatedly contacted my representative through emails, text messages, and phone calls, asking to cancel the contract due to the poor results. The leads I received were mostly invalidcustomers who had already completed their projects, or people who never responded at all. Angies List uses a tracking phone number system that routes calls to disconnected or non-existent numbers.Despite all of thisand despite my clear and repeated cancellation requeststhey went ahead and charged a different credit card for another $3,000, without my authorization. This is unacceptable and unethical.I have disputed the charge with my bank and will be leaving reviews on every platform I can to make others aware of what happened. This was a complete waste of time and money, and in my opinion, borders on fraudulent business practices.Review fromDillon S

1 starI signed up with them at the beginning of starting my electrical contracting business due to them blowing up my phone every day all day about how great their lead service was. They convinced me to get into a one year contract and after only a short couple of months, I realize I was scammed and that all the leads that they send me are c*** It is either a ghost that does not exist or it is someone who is not serious about hiring a contractor. I called and wanted to cancel my contract, but the penalty they charge was too significant and I could not afford to make the cancellation. Fast forward to now my contract was supposed to end June 2025 and somehow my contract automatically renewed for a another year and I am being told I have to pay a 33% penalty in order to cancel. 33% is over $3000!! They want to charge you all this money lock you into a contract for a lead service that sucks! I had to accept the fact that I would have to stay with them for one whole year. And now they have automatically without my approval, started me into another year contract. I dont know what to do, but there is no way I am paying them all year and there is no way Im paying a 33% penalty for canceling something. I never wanted to sign up for in the first place. These people are crooks liars and I hope and pray every home service business out there sees my review and makes the smart choice to never give those people their time of day.. Angi Ads is the biggest waste of money for your business that much. I can promise you.! we are a licensed and insured reputable electrical contractor in my area. I have tons of great customers with great ****** reviews. Im telling you please dont make the mistake of signing up with these crooks.!Review fromJavier L

1 starBuisness deserves 0 stars and to be terminated started my leads got 14 leads landed 1 for 80$ and they are charging me 525$ a month im 2 weeks into my billing cycle and they say my account has a 0$ balance already. Used all the money for 1 landed lead. Best of all they give you false contact info and additionally give the same lead to 10 different people. I highly do not reccomend angi to anybody as a consumer or a buisness trying to get leads. They want to charge me 2200$ to cancel a service that i havent even spent that much or nearly made that much terrible customer service as well.Review fromChristopher S

1 starDeceptive Business Practices and Zero Accountability Our experience was nothing short of a financial and operational disaster. From the initial sales call, we were misled. The representative made several promises regarding the volume, quality, and geographic relevance of the leads we would receive. None of those promises were kept.Almost immediately after signing on, we were being charged for leads that had no connection to the services we offer or the areas we serve. Despite raising these concerns with their support team on numerous occasions, we were met with nothing but vague excuses, shifting answers, and constant delays in any form of resolution. It became apparent that their internal approach to customer service is designed not to resolve issues, but to prolong them until they are no longer actionable. The most egregious part of our experience was that every phone call seemed aimed at buying time, not fixing problems. The team consistently gave us conflicting information, and it quickly became clear that there was no intention of delivering on the commitments made during the sales process. Their primary focus appeared to be continuing to collect payments, regardless of whether they were delivering a viable service. After months of wasted time, energy, and capital, we made the decision to pay additional money just to terminate the relationship. Imagine being so desperate to get away from a service provider that you willingly pay to sever the contract. That should speak volumes about the level of dysfunction and dishonesty we encountered.Angi failed us at every level. This company operates with no regard for integrity, no accountability for their misleading tactics, and no commitment to delivering real value to their clients. If you are a business owner evaluating lead generation services, I strongly urge you to learn from our experience and avoid Angi entirely. It is not worth the financial loss, the wasted time, or the frustration.Review fromLuke M

1 starWanted to share my experience when I purchased toilet installation with Lowes who contacts with Angi. The installation appointment was made on Saturday and the installation appointment was made and confirmed for the following Thursday. At close to midnight on Wednesday an email was sent advising me installation was canceled for Thursday and rescheduled to Friday without confirming if new time/date would work. Both myself and Lowes reached out to Angi regarding the concerns of the cancellation/late notice. Was advised that professional *** would do install next day which was Friday. Once again missed work, only to be advised that 3 hours before install professional once again cancelled via email and was rescheduled by ***B to Monday. Again no apology or explanation or even checking to see if new date/time worked. Angi requires customer to cancel/reschedule appointment 24 hours in advance for free but in my case neither Anji nor the professional extended me the same courtesy. Sending an email around midnight to cancel and reschedule to the next day only to cancel again was beyond belief. This was unprofessional and showed utter disregard for me the customer. Missing work needlessly is a huge impact on families and being sorry for the inconvenience doesnt cut it. Angi needs to have a backup plan in the event their professional cancels or hire more reliable professionals who will actually keep the appointment. ***** should ensure agreements make sure appointments are kept and that a back up installation is available. I cancelled my purchase and install from ***** due this experience and will not use installation service in the future.
