My Cardinal 5th wheel has had an issue with the passenger side slide from day one. Excessive jumping and bouncing when extending or closing. It also felt like the back end of it was dropping. I tried leveling the 5th wheel only to realize it was level. The slide was tilting. After only two outings it completely went out of whack. I have had it at Camping world since April to be repaired. Camping world tells me the delay is Forest River indicated it needed an adjustment only. Camping world tells me it needs a gear pack. ******* has finally ok'd wear tabs, which Camping World assures me this is a band aid fix. We also had this looked at by a mobile tech while in ******** when we could not get it to close before taking it to Camping World. This tech told us the same thing that Camping world is saying. He got it closed for travel and advised we take it to a Forest River Authorized Warranty Dealer. It's amazing how Forest River can look at what a tech tells them online and think they know better what is needed than the tech who is there examining it in person. All I know is I bought this NEW in March and was able to use it twice (didn't work properly, but I did use it). I have a 30-day nonrefundable reservation for which I'm supposed to leave home October 10 and I do not have a trailer. I also have two cousins who have flight reservations to fly out to ******, AZ to spend a week with us on said trip. There is a lot of money that is about to be lost because you Forest River approve what two techs' have told me needs to be replaced. I guess Forest River isn't the trailer of excellence the dealer who sold this to me claimed. Business Name: Forest River****** Location: *******, ** (Headquarters) Product/Service: 2024 ***** Cruise-Lite 28VBXL ** Purchase Date: August 2, 2024 VIN: ***************** Complaint Summary:We purchased a brand-new 2024 Forest River Salem Cruise-Lite 28VBXL ** from Adventure Camper Sales in ****, **. From day one, the unit exhibited serious defects including slide-out instability, repeated collapse of the Versa-Tilt bed, water intrusion, and electrical issues. Despite multiple repair attempts and direct communication with Forest Rivers warranty and customer service teams, the problems remain unresolved. It was offered to go back to ******* for repair in August and Salem Warranty declined and said to let the shop that has had it since May 23, 2025 repair it. The unit has only been used for two trips totaling 14 days in over 13 months of ownership. It has spent the majority of its time in repair facilities or awaiting parts. The warranty expired while the ** was still in the shop. We submitted a formal buyback request to Forest River in August 2025, supported by extensive documentation, but have received no response. We are seeking a full manufacturer buyback of the unit due to its persistent defects, failed repairs, and significant loss of use. We have suffered financial losses exceeding $6,200 and have missed over a year of planned family travel.Desired Resolution: Full manufacturer buyback of the defective ** and reimbursement for documented financial losses.Supporting Documentation Available:Purchase records Warranty claim forms Repair invoices Photos and videos of defects Timeline of events Escalation letters to Forest RiverBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: That is not true... We did not reject sending it back to ******* for repairs. Which is verifiable in the attached emails. It was offered to come back in January of 2025 after Forest River mechanic **** came to our home. **** even offered to stop and pick it up on his way back to Indian from ******* (which was his next call).
Mr ******, made that decision on his own without our permission and to do this day we still do not have our camper back. As you can read in email communications with Mr. ************* This is the 6th time since purchasing it on Aug 2 2024 it has been under repairs for the slide among other major safety issues. There are notes that the slide has water damage, to floor and walls, window leakings, seals missing and torn from slide malfunctions. Among the other issues. In April 2025 there was water in the airline behind the blower fan from the Tankless hot water heater causing that not to work. They tried to tell us it was from rain blowing in from outside. We were walked through that repair by ******** Service Manager because Mr ****** and Ms **** did not return our calls.
So no we do not accept this solution. This camper is a major safety concern. We did not give our consent for it be repaired by ******* and we DID NOT deny it coming back to ******* to the factory. It has been offered ON TWO occasions now.

I am rejecting this response because: The emails with **** Bleili were attached to the previous Response. But just in case you missed that one it is attached again to this response. Labeled August 25 email with **** Bleili I am also going to attach some more documents for your review. This has gone on for over a year. We have dealt with everything the Salem Division has sent us to. We have missed out on a whole season of camping. Our LAST camping trip of the season would be in 2 weeks (which since we haven't had a useable camper since April at least, in all true honesty we haven't had a useable camper since we purchased this unit on August 2, 2024. So now, whenever we do get it back, it is going to be winterized and covered until Spring of 2026 and not be used.
Also, included is a sample of some of the documents, along with all email correspondence, phone call correspondence, text correspondence with Forest River's many employees, Adventure Camper Sales, That RV specialist, **** - FR mechanic, KY Attorney General, *****, RV Trade Associations, ****************** officials fighting to change the Lemon Laws on these units that Forest River keeps putting out and does nothing to take care of the customer that purchased them when they are definitely faulty from the factory, and the CERTIFIED packaged BINDER that went out to BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY
In closing, when ******* is supposedly done with the repairs, there is no way to test them, there is no way to test for mold in the walls, there is no way to test for water anywhere in that camper considering it has been a miserably HOT summer with EXTREME drought conditions, with no end in sight.

The dealer has reported that requested repairs are complete. We are working directly with the customer regarding any remaining concerns.Customer Answer
Date: 09/17/2025
I am rejecting this response because: The repairs have not been verified yet. Until they are they are not complete. Per phone call, there was still trim to be installed and clean-up to do. We have a scheduled date to go check out the repairs and other concerns. Being this is the 6th attempt at repairs to this camper for repeated issues, it will be inspected thoroughly.
Also, from these responses, I would say this information is coming from the Warranty Manager who is pushing us to walk in that camper and say everything is fixed and fine with it. There is no way to do that visually, with all the hidden manufacturer defects that have appeared in this camper. The BUYBACK is still being pursued in other avenues. This is a Lemon Camper that has been plagued with manufacturer defects for the 411 days that we have owned it, with less than 15 days of actual use.

I am filing this complaint due to the ongoing, severe quality issues and poor customer service associated with our brand-new 2025 Forest River Shasta i5 Travel Trailer, purchased from ************* in June 2025. This unit has been riddled with multiple major structural, plumbing, and mechanical failures since day one. Despite being a new purchase, it has required repeated repairs, all at our own expense. Detailed List of Issues Experienced:Air conditioning unit blew out asbestos-type material, posing a serious health hazard.Water line burst under the kitchen sink, causing water damage.Front entry door jammed shut, requiring professional repair.Pressurized hot water supply line under the kitchen sink began leaking.Bathtub trap is leaking, with water draining directly through the trailers ****************** water connection detached due to cheap plastic parts my husband was forced to fix this himself.Four separate leaks have now been identified coming from underneath the trailers base, putting the entire structure at risk for rot, mold, and long-term damage.Given the severity and frequency of defects, we are requesting a full refund at no additional cost to us. We have lost complete faith in the integrity of the Forest River Shasta product and consider this unit to be a lemon. We are extremely dissatisfied and feel deceived by both the manufacturer and dealer. The trailer has been an absolute nightmare and we urge the BBB to help us hold both parties accountable. We request that this matter be escalated immediately and that we receive a direct phone call upon review of this complaint.Business Response

I recently purchased a 16 1/2-foot ******** ******** camping trailer 134RDX VIN *****************, and picked it up on August 9, 2025. The unit size was dictated by my driveway as I wanted to have the trailer available at a moments notice. I was highly impressed by the amenities you were able to put into such a small *** This last week I took it out for the first time with my wife, and we both went to bed in the full 54 inch wide mattress provided. *** slept on the inside by the front trailer wall and I slept on the outside facing the inside of the *** When I rolled toward the edge, I discovered 7 1/2 inches of the edge of the mattress was not supported by the wood frame. The ramp created caused me to launch out of the bed upside down to the floor. Fortunately, I was not injured, but I am deeply concerned someone may get hurt in the future if this is the design of the bed support in this unit. I've come up with a temporary solution for myself and would be very happy to send you pictures showing exactly the problem and how I fixed it, short term. I'm sure you would come up with a much more elegant solution.Business Response

Coachmen RV is focused on providing a product with superior value and backing it through superior service and support. On the occasion that a manufacturer error is made Forest River and Coachmen strive to correct these issues as quickly and efficiently as possible In this case, we do believe the mattress/bed structure was built per design. Moving forward, we will discuss this with our production team to address the concern and explore alternative options and we would like to thank Mr. ******* for bringing his concern to our attention.
While we are sympathetic to the customers concern, we would not have a retroactive remedy for it.Initial Complaint

Purchased a new 2026 Campsite Ultra in July of 2025 at ************* in ******. We had several issues we noticed as soon as we arrived home that we brought to the attention of Forest River and Camping World whom both at first had us going back and forth with phone calls for a day. Finally Camping World made us an appointment to bring the trailer back a few weeks later. First problem was the seal was already ripped and pulling away on the slide out. Second both mattresses on the bunk house the material was sewn on upside down and with the angle of design on the mattress they cannot be flipped. Third our mattress to the ****** Bed was still wrapped in plastic when we picked our camper when we opened it at home there was a tear on the seam atleast 6inches not at our fault at all! Camping world said they would order all products to fix and would call when everything is in. Here it is the second week of Aug. we did not hear back so we called Camping World for them to say Forest River is going to replace our bunkhouse mattresses but not the ****** bed mattress!!!!Why?? To that point, as of today havent ordered anything on the list due to waiting for Forest River to confirm the warranty. Again, ?? We got a claim # from Camping World and tried to call Forest River four attempts and hours of being on hold still got nothing.. My point of posting a complaint is so other consumers are aware that all they want is the sale and you will not matter after you sign the loan even after only one day they will not honor there warrantyCustomer Answer

Formal Complaint Against Forest River 2025 Cherokee 39JM Destination Trailer (VIN *****************)I am filing a formal complaint against Forest River for delivering a defective, unsafe, and unusable 2025 Cherokee 39JM trailer on May 22, 2025. This unit has caused my family severe emotional distress. As a registered nurse with heart failure from the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, I purchased this camper to create family memories, but it remains uninhabitable during Nebraskas MayAugust season. Before delivery, multiple defects were identified and promised to be fixednone were addressed. New critical issues emerged after delivery, including:Air conditioning grossly inadequate despite replacing original ****** BTU units with two ****** BTU units on July 31, 2025. Interior temperatures reach 9398F, making the trailer unsafe and unlivable.Heating system nonfunctional; thermostat incompatible.Water leaks through nearly every window and sliding door during rainstorms, risking water damage and mold.Damaged flooring, gouged refrigerator doors from transport, peeling wallpaper and fixtures, broken corner couch from mishandling, misaligned doors, and hazardous awning drainage.Sliding patio door defective, causing structural damage when operated.Forest Rivers offer to prorate future payments ignores all payments made and the $5,400 campsite fee paid for an unusable trailer. We reject sending the unit to ******* for repairs due to incomplete documentation and Forest Rivers history of patchwork fixes. We demand:Immediate full buyback of the defective unit.Full reimbursement of all payments made.Full reimbursement of the $5,400 campsite fee.We have extensive photographic evidence, technician reports, and correspondence to support these claims. We ask the BBB to hold Forest River accountable and secure a fair resolution. Please let us know if additional photos or documentation is neededBusiness Response

A representative from Forest River has reached out to the customer and offered a factory ********************** to resolve their complaint.Customer Answer
Date: 08/18/2025
I am rejecting this response because:
I do not accept this resolution. While Forest River has offered a repair, this does not adequately resolve the significant and ongoing issues that have existed since the unit was delivered. Attempts have already failed to provide a safe and reliable product, and the proposal of yet another repair does not address the broader defects, nor the undue stress and hardship this situation has caused.
Most concerning is the water intrusion. This is not a cosmetic or minor defect, but a substantial breach of the implied warranty of habitability and merchantability. Water damage creates a high risk of mold and mildew development, which can lead to serious and long-term health hazards. Given my preexisting heart condition, continued exposure to these risks presents an unacceptable threat to my health and safety. Forest River is on notice that failure to remedy this defect could expose me to life-threatening complications, and could also create liability should the unit cause further harm.
Therefore, I respectfully request that this matter be escalated for a resolution beyond a repair. The only reasonable remedies at this stage are a buyback and all money paid thus far reimbursed including the money paid for the camper sit. This ensures I am not subjected to further health risks or prolonged hardship due to a defective product.Business Response

Per the ********************** Warranty, Forest River is entitled to a right of repair. We also have offered additional testing once repairs are complete for the customer's peace of mind.Customer Answer
Date: 08/21/2025
I am rejecting this response because:
I acknowledge your reference to the ********************* Warranty and Forest Rivers asserted right of repair. However, please be advised that this unit was delivered with substantial defects that have persisted despite multiple repair attempts. Under applicable consumer protection laws, including breach of warranty and implied warranty of merchantability, a manufacturers right to repair is not unlimited.
Forest River has already been afforded ample opportunity to cure these defects, yet the unit continues to present serious concerns, including water intrusion and the resulting risk of mold growth, which create significant health and safety hazards. The repeated failures to properly address these issues not only diminish the units value but also cause ongoing financial, emotional, and health-related distress.
Given these circumstances, I must insist that this matter be escalated to the appropriate decision-making authority capable of offering a meaningful and permanent resolution. Continued reliance on the right of repair, without adequately remedying the defects, may constitute an unreasonable and unlawful practice under state and federal consumer protection statutes.
Please confirm w how Forest River intends to resolve this matter beyond repairs. I reserve all rights and remedies available to me under law.
Sincerely,******

Date: 08/21/2025
While there may have been repairs performed by service centers or dealerships, Forest River has not been afforded final right of repair. This is the first step. This does not preclude any additional agreements that may or may not be made after we have had the chance to inspect and make any warrantable repairs needed.Customer Answer
Date: 08/21/2025
I am rejecting this response because:
I am in receipt of your statement that Forest River has not been afforded its final right of repair. Respectfully, this position is not supported by the facts or applicable law.
Since delivery, this unit has suffered from substantial and recurring defects that materially impair its use, value, and safety. Despite multiple repair attempts by authorized service centers, these defects remain unresolved. Most concerning is water intrusion and the resulting risk of mold, which present serious health and safety hazards.
Under the ********-**** Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2301 et seq.) and applicable state lemon law provisions, a manufacturers right to repair is not unlimited. The law requires defects to be remedied within a reasonable number of attempts and timeframe. Courts have made clear that manufacturers cannot insist on unlimited opportunities where safety and habitability are compromised.
Forest River has already been provided ample opportunity to cure these issues. Continued reliance on a so-called final right of repair risks constituting a breach of express and implied warranties, as well as an unfair and deceptive practice under consumer protection statutes.
Accordingly, I must insist this matter be escalated immediately to a decision-making authority with the power to negotiate a permanent resolution, including a repurchase or replacement. Absent such escalation, I am prepared to pursue all remedies available under state and federal law, including breach of warranty, lemon law relief, and consumer protection claims.Sincerely,
******

Bought the Forest River Campsite Ultra in February 2025. Have taken it on two road trips. The first one was to a lake for the weekend. The second one was to *******, While traveling the underbelly came apart and wires were dragging. When we go to ****** I attempted to put them back up. The A/C unit also froze over. That Cost us $200.00 to have a Technician come out and state the unit was not the right size for our trailer. When we traveled more through ******* The wires on the underbelly came out again. This went on throughout the entire 11 day trip. When we go back to ******** I called camping world and then took it out to them. This is where we bought it. They contacted us and stated that it would be patched, not replaced. They stated the A/C unit would have to be cleaned and then they found the slide to need replacement as well. This is a new unit.
