Called my employer and asked a random coworker just answering the phone to verify my DOB, my employment status and my social security number. The person whom answered the phone was unauthorized to handle or verify those facts but now has possession of my social security and DOB. I do not know why Veriffacts would be calling my employer and requesting my personal information but I request that it immediately stop!!!!Business Response

Verifacts has been HARASSING by calling an old employer 6 times in one day. The date of these calls were today, 12/30/2022 and I have been notified of the harassment and am filing a complaint to stop it. If this continues I will take further action.Business Response

I received a phone call at work asking to verify my birthday, when i asked why and who it was they would only say ******* and when I said i do not know who you are and I dont feel comfortable speaking to them she said I can send you information if you give me your last four of your social security number. On 12/19/22, my current employer called me into her office and asked why someone named ****** is trying to verify if I currently work here. I have never heard of them; I am not looking for other employment and definitely didn't give them permission to contact my employer or receive any personal information on me. It could have jeopardized my employment, and I'm very upset. This should not be allowed unless permission is given. I want all my personal information removed and from this company and to immediately cease and desist all communications with my employer or anyone else period. On 12/5/22, my current employer called me into her office and asked why I was looking for other employment. Seems that a company, Verifacts, sent her an email asking for an employment verification on me using my former married name, which I haven't used in 5 years, as I as I since have been remarried. I have never heard of them, am not looking for other employment and definitely didn't give them permission to contact my employer or receive any personal information on me. It could have jeopardized my employment, and I'm very upset. I want all my personal information removed and for this company to immediately cease and desist all communications with my employer or anyone else period.
