Verifacts keeps calling me and my HR department. HR advised without consent from me they cannot release any information. When I spoke to Verifacts, they could not tell me who was requesting my employment verification without me confirming my social security number which is a huge red flag.Business Response

On 03/13/2003 company Veri Facts contacted my place of employment and asked to verify my Work Status if I was full time or not. I did not answer this question asked them to email me because I did not know this company. Instead, they faxed my boss, and he answered their questions and faxed it back without my permission. I want this company to stop all correspondence by phone fax email. I do not want them contacting me again or my place of employment. I received a phone call at my place of work from this company, I consider this highly unethical and an invasion of my privacy let alone my work place is a very inappropriate place to be trying to contact me at. On 2/23/23 my mother (elderly and confused) received a phone call from verifax asking personal information about me. Which included where I work. In her confusion lord only knows what she said. Then she called me upset. I called verifax in which they did not answer, but they ****** right back. Asked me of my employment status in which was not given an explanation of why and who is inquiring. I did answer out of not thinking but still upset didnt give the fact i am retired. She then said i have written this down and will pass it on. My question is.. to who? Who are you passing my personal information too? This is against my rights and definitely my elderly mothers. This company calls my work, asks for me by name and then hangs up. Additionally sends an email to my HR department asking to verify my employment which I did not give them permission to do so.
