1 starCrate & Barrel is knowingly misleading customers about delivery dates. I purchased a desk from them in April 2023 and the delivery date on the receipt clearly states early June 2023. They extended the June delivery date over 4 times. It's now September 2023 and they have still not delivered. They are using deceitful sales practices.Review fromKatherine A

2 starsI am a new mom and fairly recent Crate and Barrel customer. I started shopping there precisely for children's furniture and I'm disappointed to report that 3 out of the 4 purchases I've made for my son's nursery were defective. The first crib I purchased arrived with chipping paint, I called customer service who said they'd send a replacement but never did. When I followed up I was told the crib was discontinued and offered a comparable crib which turned out to be more expensive. I was unable to leave a bad review for a discontinued product Fast-forward and now the expensive replacement crib has a piece of decorative metal trim that keeps popping out and I'm concerned my toddler son will we l get hurt on. I contacted crate and Barrel and they requested pictures and a detailed history of your piece. The crib had never been moved, was assembled were it sits and used for 4-5 months **** I was told they could do nothing for me as they had already met their customer service obligation when they replaced the first defective crib. Again this crib was discontinued so I couldn't leave a negative review. So let me get this straight - Crate and Barrel sells defective children's furniture at not so cheap prizes that they may or may not make an effort to replace depending on whether they have replaced OTHER defective items? Oh and since these items are discounted you can't warn other prospective shoppers not to buy children's furniture there?! Not extremely fair or professional!!Review fromEmme B

1 starRewards have an expiration date. My opinion is, rewards earned should have no expiration date just like other credit cards. Value your loyal customers.Review fromElizabeth M

1 starThree months after ordering I finally got a scheduled delivery date. At 7am on delivery day (scheduled 9:30am) the delivery company (separate organization) calls and says they cant deliver it because they never got it. I have to wait several hours for the appropriate central time zone time , finally get through, only to be told we now show estimated availability for two months from now. Be aware that they may or may not have what you purchase and will not be transparent or consistent about when you might get it.Review fromCJ B

1 starI ordered a 3-piece sectional in November 2022 with a scheduled delivery date of early January 2023. On the first delivery date, I received a couch with scratched legs and improperly assembled clamps, preventing the couch from staying attached. I elected to receive a replacement couch and on the second delivery date, I received a couch with badly scratched legs and one split in half. Even worse, the legs were different colors (light and dark brown wood). Again, I elected a replacement couch and negotiated a discount of 20% off sticker price and 10% of sticker price of in-store credit. On the third delivery, I noticed that the legs were different colors AGAIN! So I didn't let the delivery team take it off the truck. When I called customer service, they were not any help. Last weekend, instead of getting a replacement couch, a delivery team was sent to replace the legs -- my fourth delivery/servicing since November 2022. The service team successfully removed the old legs but were unable to install the new ones so their course of action was to remove all legs and set the couch on the bare hardwood. Now I have a $4.5k couch with white fabric sitting on the floor of my home. The next replacement for the FIFTH couch is expected to come 4 weeks from now at the earliest. Granted, it could be worse, except that it has been over 7 months since the first delivery. Overall, the customer service and manufacturing quality has been extremely low and I will never purchase another piece of furniture from them again.Review fromMartha B

1 starThe Cherry Hill store does not honor prices posted. I was at the store on Saturday, August 12th. There was a pricing sign for $65.00 for two Kiwi birds. I asked the associate if I could purchase what was on the table. She said yes. When the associate rang the total it was $90.00 each. She called her manager. Manager said the sign was wrong. I explained I felt they should honor the posted ************** called her manager. **** the managers manager came and stated the price changed three days ago but someone didnt remove the old price and the birds on the table were bigger. No distinction of size was on the pricing tag on the table. I didnt buy the Kiwi birds but I believe they should have honored their advertised in store pricing. Buyer beware of false advertising.Review fromTheresa B

1 starThis was my first experience with Crate and Barrel, and based on what transpired, it will probably be my last. On Aug 2, 2023 I chose an item from Crate and Barrel that was on a wedding registry. I clicked on the link to Crate and Barrels website. I immediately received an offer for a discount of 10%. I was very happy to see that, as the item was quite expensive. It took several tries to get the order to go through, not sure why. After spending approximately 35 minutes I was able to apply the discount and proceed to reviewing the order. There was a notation that read your discount has been applied. Meanwhile, I had checked off the item on the wedding registry, implying that it had been purchased by me. When I proceeded to review the order, it showed that the discount had not been applied. I immediately called customer service, and that was where my negative experience began. The representative showed no interest in addressing my frustration and disappointment. She did explain that the item I was purchasing was not applicable for a discount. I asked her why a notation popped up, saying that the discount had indeed been applied. She did not offer any other type of discount even after I explained I had been online trying to purchase the item for close to 45 minutes at that point. I felt I had been misled. Also, I had indicated on the wedding registry that I had purchased the item so now I was compelled to purchase it. I asked to speak with the supervisor. ********, the supervisor came on after I was on hold for quite some time. She had no more interest in helping me than the previous customer representative. This is not something I want to experience again, so I will take my business elsewhere. In my experience, a little sympathy and understanding, and willingness to help goes a long way in dealing with customers.Review fromMarkus M

1 starReally bad experience. We too saved for our sofa for some time. It was a custom order and so it took months to be delivered. To our big disappointment when the sofa arrived, it did not fit through our entrance. We immediately called crate and barrel. The customer representative said that we can return it, and we would get reimbursed. So we agreed to return it.To our dismay we later were informed that we have to pay for a restocking fee which is 50% of the sales price.I am hugely disappointed.Review fromAlli L

1 starSaved for a few years to buy a leather chaise sectional - one of the most expensive purchases for an object I've ever made nearly $7,000. Worked with the salesperson to finalize the custom order. She stated that the standard depth of the seats was the deep seat at 46" and that the more standard seat of 41" had to be specifically requested. I remember this distinctly because I thought it was really unusual, but I believed her and I just assumed it was true since deep seats are trending. She repeated this twice. My couch arrived yesterday and it is the standard depth. I spoke with the main company customer service, and I was passed through three representatives, one of which told me that they couldn't access my order whatsoever and I had to work with the store that I bought it from, and I know this to be false because I worked with the main customer service line for a price adjustment right after I made the purchase and there was no issue at all accessing my account and making any changes, so I know I was being fed a line. I was directed back to the store, and at first they seem to suggest that we would be able to find a resolution, but after someone spoke to a higher tier manager, they left a message to tell me that it was a custom order, and the only option was for me is to return the portion of the couch that I want replaced at a 50% restocking fee, and also pay for delivery fees for the company to come pick up the piece that I want returned, and then to pay full price for the custom full depth piece. This is absolutely gutting because I trusted the sales associate and what they were telling me! I couldn't be more disappointed because this is one of my first major purchases ever. The customer service is deeply disappointing. I waited months for this couch to arrive. Buyer beware.Review fromAllan Y

1 starIt's been seven months since we ordered a ***** Mid-Century 2-Piece Chaise Sectional Sofa. Crate & Barrel keeps extending the delivery date each month. There are no other reviews on the couch, so we assume no one else has received it either. After seeing the other reviews on BBB, I don't know if we can expect to get both pieces this year. When we tried cancelling the order a couple of months ago, they wouldn't even provide ** with a refund or store credit despite demanding full payment upfront to do absolutely nothing.DO NOT buy anything from Crate & Barrel if it's not in stock or in the store.
