I had purchased an EGO POWER 56 volt Cordless Lawn Mower from Lowes approx. 2 years ago I go this past weekend to cut my grass to my dismay the battery is completely dead. I follow up and call customer service to advised of the issue and all they can tell me regarding CASE# ******** is to purchase another battery that it is not covered because supposedly I purchased from Lowes a Refurbished Lawn Mower. These batteries are expensive yet alone the lawn mower that I spent cash on and Lowes is not going to do anything about it due to it being 2 years old. I have the edger, lawn mower, hedge trimmer, blower so I have spent quite a dime on your products and you won't stand behind your product is ridiculous. I have family coming over from xmas from *** and I need to cut my grass and then some and to be told point blank just buy another battery is insulting.Initial Complaint

Product:EGO Power + 15" POWERLOAD String Trimmer Telescopic Aluminum shaft ST1511T purchased 06/09/23 for $219.00. EGO has a 5 year tool warranty Complain:The POWERLOAD trimmer head stopped working after 5 months residential use. Seeking head replacement under the warranty, I called EGO tech support 11/29 spoke to an agent who was unable to resolve stating trimmer head is no longer covered after 90 days. I requested my complaint escalated for resolution. On 12/01/2023 I received a call from EGO (******) spoke with a supervisor stated her name as ******* who was following up on my complaint case: ********, 11/28/2023. The supervisor basically said the same thing about the Trimmer head as an "accessory" and is no longer covered after 90 days.Resolution desired - Head Trimmer replacement:I am insisting on holding EGO replacing the head trimmer as a TOOL on itself as the weed trimmer only consist of two (2) basic components/or parts: The Handle/Shaft that has the "On - Off" switch, and the Trimmer head itself. Supervisor agreed that the weed trimmer as a whole is a TOOL however states head is not covered after 90 days since it is an accessory that is subjected to a lot of physical wear an tear due to bumping and lots of moving parts. My contention is that the Handle/ Shaft also has moving parts due to the On-Off switch as well as the extendable feature and battery housing making the handle/shaft fall in the same "accessory" category. This then makes us question the "5 year TOOL warranty", so what is covered?POINT:Example, compare EGO Weed Trimmer to a Hammer that also has 2 basic part handle and Head. On same deal, do we just replace the handle or the whole thing itself?Warranty:EGO website states 5 Year Tool Warranty on almost all EGO product defending on usage - personal or commercial. I am a huge EGO fan due to the quality of their products and over the years have purchased 2 String Trimmers, Hedge Trimmer and a Power Mower. Please help, Thank You.Initial Complaint

On 10/27/21 I purchased a POWER+ 650 CFM Blower with 5.0Ah battery and standard charger. The charger malfunctioned -- while charging a battery it started smoking and shut down -- and was replaced free of charge on 11/06/23. I recently used the charger and it seems to work fine, but it turns out the battery was damaged during the malfunction. The * Go website claims the battery, when fully charged, will get a 90-minute run time. ************************************************** have used the blower 3-4 times since the charger was replaced and the battery has never lasted more than 25 minutes on the normal, non-turbo setting. The battery (serial # **************** is still covered by a 3 yr warranty ************************************************** I have called * Go 4-5 times to report this problem and request a replacement battery. *ach time I have been put on hold and went in the queue for a call back. There have been call backs but they have been several hours, or a day later and I have not been by the phone to receive them. *very time this happens, * Go considers the case closed and invites me to call again and join the queue again. There is no way to contact * Go via email or phone message to explain the problem and ask for a battery replacement. It's at the point I feel an outreach through BBB is required.I AM R*QU*STING THAT * GO S*ND M* A PLAC*M*NT BATT*RYInitial Complaint

We purchased an EGO 52" Z6 zero turn mower in October 0f 2022. We used the mower for approx. 2 months in 2022 at the end of the fall season, and all of the spring/summer season in 2023. The mower does not run as advertised, with only getting approximately 45 minutes to one hour of battery life vs. the 4 hours it is advertised. Most importantly, On November 10, 2023 one of our mower blades broke and we were unable to simply s**** it back on. Upon calling 2 local authorized EGO dealers, we were told they will not service mowers any more for the season, despite having several weeks of lawn clean up remaining in the season. If we do not use an authorized dealer, our EGO warranty is void. Upon calling customer service, I was promised they would find a dealer to service our mower. I followed up once and was told they were still looking. It has now been two weeks with no response, no resolution, a broken lawn mower that we are unable to use and unable to fix. We have not been able to complete proper end of season lawn care due to EGO's inability to service our product We paid for a premium product and have not received even an adequate performance and inadequate servicing. At this point of frustration, we simply want to return the product and receive a full refund since EGO cannot service its products.Initial Complaint

I purchased an electric mower on Oct. 23rd. After receiving the item I went online to register the mower. My mower was not listed on their website. After calling several times and being on hold every time, I left a message for a callback. That was over a week ago and I have not heard from them.Initial Complaint

About Nov 2022 I bought an EGO 615 CM Leaf blower w/36v rechargeable battery from Lowes. The manufacturing date on both the blower and battery are June 2022. After only about 6 uses, the battery has gone bad. It smells of burning electric wire when in use or being charged and has a very short usage time. As a result, the unit is unsafe. ***** said I needed to deal directly with EGO customer service. However, the only way to contact EGO is by phone. I have tried their options for a call back and leaving messages, which doesn't work. I have been placed on indefinite hold. I would like EGO to take some responsibility, answer the call, and replace the battery so I can safely use the equipment. It's currently list at Lowes for $218.Initial Complaint

Im making a formal complaint about Ego as I believe they dont stand behind their products. We have 2 batteries that arent working so we called Ego. They said youre out of warranty and theres nothing we can do. We are 2 months out of warranty (purchased 3 years ago). Ego says our batteries should last 10 years and they sayyou should get 800-1000 charges weve charged these batteries approx 6-8 times each summer so not near 800 charges. As a retired electrician, these batteries have been handled with great care and have followed the manual to ***. Ego apparently has no service department so youre completely out of luck if not under warranty. Replacing these batteries will cost about $700.00. Which is outrageous considering when purchased and the amount of use. Ive spoken with customer service a couple times and the answer is the same. .. once out of warranty, we cant help you. They recommended I go buy a new battery or get a refurbished one somewhere.we registered our products on 6/18/20 Please advise,*********************Initial Complaint

Bought a lawn mower and registered the product with EGO in April of 2022. Lawn mower cuts off even though fully charged, and the self propelled feature no longer works. I have tried to call the company (at ************) numerous times and stayed on the phone for as long as I could. No one ever picks up. They offer a call-back option, which does not work. I don't see any other way to submit a warranty claim, other than "call us". This is an expensive mower and should not need repairs after 1 1/2 years, but it's worse to be unable to contact the company for a warranty claim.
