      Technician came out on 10/05 for regular maintenance per my contract I pay for he said I have a hole in my furnace chimney flue and needed a new liner also that the flue was not the correct size for the furnace that was installed. The technician said that the unit should not have been installed until the flue was made the correct size first. At that point the technician turned off my furnace for safety code reasons. I let the technician know they were the company that installed my furnace. The technician said he would have a supervisor contact me about this situation before end of day. They did not contact me so I called them and was told a Supervisor will call me in a couple hours. I waited hours and then called them again and told again a supervisor will call you back in a couple hours. I have waited since 10/05 to speak to a supervisor. I have called three times a day which is after the couple hours that I am told I would be receiving a call. When I called today I was told a supervisor was listening to my call and was aware that I wanted to speak with a supervisor. The call center rep let me know the supervisor told them that even if they improperly installed my unit the chimney is not covered under my plan. If the unit were installed with the proper size flue I would not be having these issues but they will not be covering this issue. I personally think that if they improperly installed something then they should fix it but to wait since 10/05 to have a supervisor contact me and still not speak with one as of yet when I have no heat in my home seems even more improper.

      Technician came out Sep. 23 for annual furnace checkup. It had been working fine, but I'm paying something extra in my Nicor bill every month for this service. The technician said I had a cracked heat exchanger and, with my permission, ordered a new part. He turned off the furnace because he said their "code" won't allow him to leave with it turned on. So, I'm left with no heat, and it's been two weeks now. I haven't been able to turn it back on and it's been uncomfortably cold some days. Every time I call for a status update, all they tell me is that they're waiting for the part and when it comes in, they'll schedule an install. Come on! It's been two weeks! It's a Carrier furnace. Isn't that a big enough brand where the parts should be readily available? What am I supposed to do if we go another couple of weeks and it REALLY gets cold, like down in the 20's? If I hadn't had the guy come out that day for a routine checkup, I never would have known the difference. The furnace would still be putting out heat and I wouldn't be making this complaint.

      Any delay from Pivotal was my fault. I jumped too soon and took a business card from a city water works employee for a local plumber not supported by Pivotal. Waiting for his quote was too long and was way too high for outside water pipe replacement. Once ************************* was contacted by Pivotal, I was waiting for someone from ******** to come out to see the problem & a price quote. I finally called, the sec. she said ***** coming out the next day and ******** doing the job on Saturday. I panicked...never got a quote. She called back.."All outside work will be paid by Pivotal" The other plumber quoted $10,000+, I only paid $500.00 for inside basement work. That certainly made my day. By the way the water line is about 115' long. No ditch digging, used horizontal drilling. ******** was here and gone in under 3 hrs.
