Business provides communication networks. This network is used to make telephone calls with intent to defraud/scam people. I expect any reputable business to take steps combat fraud. Peerless claims that since they do not make the calls, they will not block the caller from calling me, even tho I have not spoken to **************** (it doesn't have an actual person there, only a phone message). They say they will contact the client regarding my complaint. I am being called about a 3rd party that their client says **** $$. I just want them to stop calling me. I am rejecting this response because: I continue to receive calls & when I finally responded and clicked "1" to speak to them I go nothing but music & finally hung up. I do not understand why Peerless will not block this call from coming to me (my ph # is ************ & the # calling me says: ********* ** ************). When I had a problem yrs ago, AT&T blocked the offending # with no problem. The very fact that the Peerless customer service line only has a recorded message stating they do not block calls but will contact their client is suspicious to start. It tells me that they receive tons of similar calls to mine & they just don't care or want to be bothered helping people. The person the client was trying to call, called them & when they said it was an overdue (5+ yrs) payday loan, she asked for proof & they told her they would not send anything until they received pmt - that's a scam, pure & simple.

Peerless did not make the telephone calls that are the subject of this complaint. Peerless is not a telemarketer and does not make any solicitation or telemarketing calls. Nonetheless, to the extent Peerless receives complaints or requests that consumers not be called, Peerless investigates the issue and takes action to get the calls to stop. Im getting a deluge of scam calls claiming to offer healthcare plans for small businesses. The vast majority of those are coming from numbers owned by Peerless Networks.It appears this company doesnt do any basic due diligence when it gives out numbers, and it seems to have no interest in preventing spam calls from their infrastructure.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I am continuing to receive spam calls originating from Peerless Network. These calls from multiple different numbers. It's not feasible to just block a single number or report it for fraud, since these spammers will just use another number provided by Peerless Network.
The only satisfactory solution here is for Peerless Network to block all calls to my phone number from their systems, or for the spam calls from Peerless Network to actually stop.

It appears that they allow scammers to utilize their network and tools. I attempted to use their online reporting system, but it doesn't even function properly. It's surprising that they remain in operation, given that they are the second most exploited system by phone scammers.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
there not taking down the numbers and accounts that are clearly scamming people. I'm working on bringing awareness that there not doing there investigative work and its been years.there allowing scam operations to continue running when they need a better reporting system. i have submitted to them over 100+ times in the last few years. and with no response and the same scams run wild on there services.
since 2019 phone scams have gone up ****% NO JOKE. these company's are allowing scammers to continue to scam. If i report a number the line should be immediately investigated. and if there is any sign of a real scam suspend there account and find the owner. i understand some owners may of gotten there account compromised but i truly feel it they see the evidences they could just end the account.
