    Look elsewhere, copyright your writing first. Their editing services are trash. corrections and updates submitted are repeatedly wrong, constantly begging for $3K to market, but can't correctly produce a book. No ISBN # issued, Contract says book portal and editing team, but never had any zoom meetings to actually see any people or a team.Too many phone calls to clients versus reading emails with specific instructions.Too many different changes in management & no responses to ************* complaints. Is this a 1 person shop pretending to be several?? Legally report these folks! Waiting for refund & legally drafted documents.

    Where do I start. I came across excel book writing on 11/30/21 the worst decision of my life. They play too many mind games and they don't follow through on projects. I went through 3 project managers, they sound the same. They guarantee that everything is going to go about right, but it doesn't. I got no guidance or direction, with this company. It's sad that you trust people with your prized possession and they highly take advantage of you. Excel book writing need to change their name they don't "Excel" at anything. The only thing they excel in, is taking their customer's money and disappointing them. ******************** book writing gets 0 stars and 2 thumbs down.

    It took two minutes on the phone with this company to know it was a sham. The guy was pressuring me to buy a publishing package and he got annoyed on the phone when I called him out on it. I told him Id get back to him and he was constantly text messaging me the entire day. They call from an infinite number of phone number so if you block one they still get through. Bad vibes from the start. Do not contact them. They just harass you and pressure you.

    Run. Do not deal with Excelbooks. I read some of the negative reviews but thought I would give them a chance after getting suckered in for a good deal to publish my first book.I started my book project in December 2022.Everything was going fine with the book being completed.Then they ask for money to market your book. A scam.I dont need my first book to be marketed. But I wanted it out there.So now, its June 2023 and I only received a sample copy of my book.My contract stated upon editing, book cover, web page design, that I would get an additional 29 copies of my own book. I have only received a sample copy of my book.Not to mention, the book was placed on Amazon and Barnes&Nobles. Its embarrassing as people contacted me that the paperback copy of the book was much higher on Amazon.Excel contacted me and assured me the price of the book on Barnes&Nobles would be corrected.Well, a couple of weeks have gone by and nothing has been done.I have been more than patient with these people.My calls and e-mails get ignored or the project manner will respond I am checking on that.There is no excuse when you pay for services and you get treated this way. Such unprofessionalism.So what now, I have seek legal action against Excelbooks for breach of contract- just to get copies of my book that I paid for and huge price mistake they didnt correct.Please DONT deal with this company.I am so hurt and disappointed in the time and money I invested in this book project to be treated this way!!!!A con artist book publishing company that only wants you to spend thousands and thousands of dollars with them - and for what????

    OMG! RUN! I was director of advertising with AutoZone, Jewel ***** SuperValu, so print production is not new to me. Another company I was with published a 128-page digest monthly. We all sent our work to our proofreaders that never made mistakes. I don't write bad reviews, I just don't review, but this was so bad, I'm compelled to write this one. I started with Excel, Nov. 23, 2022. I gave them a 28-page children's book that needed the copy to be added to illustrated pages and back cover and inside covers from artwork and copy I furnished. I provided, perfectly organized artwork / copy. Each page had a few sentences for each illustration. The job should have taken a few days at most. Six weeks later, I WAS SHOCKED when they finally got around to the first draft, so many misspelled words, typos and horrible punctuation. It was obvious no one bothered to look or proofread! I asked ******, my contact, if the draft was proofread? He replied in the affirmative. My response, "Fire your proofreader, I have never seen such a horrific job of proofreading." A few illustrations had critical elements cut off. The book went back and forth several more times over 1.5 months. Each time only a few errors were corrected. Finally, 2.3 months after they got the job, Feb. 1st, they sent a draft that I approved for publishing. It took them another 17 DAYS to publish on Amazon! On Feb. 17th, I ordered two copies, which I have in my possession. OMG, what an abortion! The cover was repeated two more times inside plus there were several blank pages; worst of all, two pages out of sequence making the text with illustrations confusing. The ebook was also a total mess!I asked immediately, "Fix their errors as I'm two months behind schedule." After about two weeks, they still didn't get to it. I was so frustrated and far beyond my deadline, I hired a Fiverr expert, and the book was published perfectly in four days.I asked for a refund, without response, so I disputed the charge.

    I am extremely dissatisfied with Excel ********************* They took my money for a job that they never did, and now no one is answering my calls or emails. It is unacceptable that a company would take advantage of their customers in such a way. I would not recommend anyone do business with this company, and I will be reporting them to the BBB.

    03/20/23 Since February 3, 2023, sorry to say my husband and I expected great work from this company, Excel Book Writing, to help us publish our book. They took our money, gave us promises, then told us they cant find our manuscript and could ********** again, after they claimed they received the manuscript and its in the system to begin to work on. Since then we cannot contact anyone, ***********************, ***********************, or *********************** no one responds to messages or emails. Im coming to the conclusion we was scammed. We are trying to get our money back, so far no results.

    !!Buyer beware!!Excel gave me what I thought was a great deal $1,500 for editing my book, making a cover and publishing it on amazon, ************** and Apple store. This was all "guaranteed" to happen within 5 months. The process was SO slow.. after a few months the editing should have easily been finished but they would only send me very short bits at a time and the only thing that they did was correct some spelling or grammar. No help with the actual writing, wording or set up of the manuscript. Close to the 5-month **** we still weren't even done with the editing and I started getting upset telling them this should be done by now! Then suddenly they were able to finish it and sent me some covers to review. Everything with Excel takes SO long! The back and forth is infuriating. When they want to get a hold of you to sell you more services such as ****eting, audiobook, etc. they will call you to the point of it being harassment but when you want to get a hold of them because you have questions or concerns about the process it can take days sometimes weeks for anyone to get back to you.It took 7 months to get my book on Amazon and when I ordered it all the chapters started on the left side instead of the right, as is standard! This of course was another process trying to get them to change it and eventually I figured out how to get the manuscript from Amazon and change it myself!My contract states that if I am not satisfied with the process there is a money back guarantee.After 9 months working with this company and not being satisfied I got a hold of someone from customer service and told them I want my money back because I am not satisfied with the process or the services rendered. At this point someone named ****** was telling me that if I tried to discredit the company in any way they would *** me for millions!All I have done is told the truth and that speaks for itself. Do not get involved with this company!

    I have been working on my first graphic novel with ****************** and ******************. They are very kind and supportive! I have to say, after my negative experience with another ghostwriting company, I was a bit nervous. But I knew deep down that I didn't want to give up on my dream of sharing my autobiography with the world. ****************** and ****************** have been honest and helpful throughout this writing experience. As the weeks pass by, I become even happier to read each new chapter. Yes, they take time, as do the illustrations. We should all have patience while working with others. This is what I recommend to people out there who are interested in hiring a ghostwriter and/or illustration team. It takes some time and in the end, it's beautifully made and worth the wait!! :)
