Got an email on 09/10 telling me my loan application was approved and to call or click the link to verify my identity. The problem--I didn't apply for a loan with Cashnet USA. I immediately called and notified them. They told me to file a police report and submit it to them. I do NOT feel comfortable going into a police department EVER, so I asked their customer support if I could file an *** identity theft report instead. They said yes, so I filed a report with the ************************ and sent them this instead. Someone called me 2 or 3 days later saying they couldn't accept the *** report, and I needed to file a police report. I completely went berserk because I'd already explained t them that I am not going into a police station for any reason due to fear for my life as a Black woman, and that someone at their company told me it would be sufficient to send an *** identity theft report. I have called my local police department nonemergency line and after being on hold for 4 hours with no one at the department ever answering the phone, there is not a chance in h*** that I am going into a police station. The Cashnet worker who called me back threatened that this loan would go onto my credit and be sent to collections despite me telling them now, before they have disbursed the funds to a fraudulent account that it is FRAUD and NOT ME! I have called their Fraud department/identity theft line at least 3 times. No one ever answers. I have left voicemails, and no one has gotten back to my request for a call in 2 or 3 days. I will sue TF out of them if they put this loan that I have told them is fraud on my credit! I'm already fighting for my life against these corporate and government caused information exposures putting over 200 of my passwords onto the dark web.
