I had insurance coverage on my vehicle, and one day I asked my son to move it. Unfortunately, while he was driving, someone who was speeding rear-ended him. The person who hit my car didnt have insurance, so I reached out to my own insurance company to file a claim and get my car repaired.Initially, someone from the insurance company came out and inspected the damage. But after that, I started getting the runaround. They claimed they had tried contacting me but got no response, which isnt trueI never received any calls. In fact, I called them daily trying to follow up, and no one would answer or return my calls. It wasnt until I made a big fuss that someone finally got back to ***** that point, they told me my claim was denied because my son was driving the car and he wasnt listed on my insurance policy. I admit, I didnt personally tell the claims department that hed be driving, but I did tell the person who sold me the policy about my son, and I assumed that information would be included in my *********** frustrated and disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially after being a paying customer and trying to do the right thing after an accident that wasnt our fault.Initial Complaint

I was t boned by a person that has first Chicago insurance I called the same day and filed a claim was assigned a adjuster she went on vacation no communication was transferred to another had left several messages by chance she actually answered with one call passed it to another adjuster lied about leaving message for salvage yard about coming to look at vehicle now we are almost a month into this nightmare gave me a offer but trying not to pay for storage or pick up my car from what i have researched that is illegal I am not the one who caused the accident they should pay not me and a month of fees at thatCustomer Answer

A driver insured by First Chicago Insurance rear ended my wife causing $8K in damage to our vehicle. This insurance company does NOT pick up their phone. They return calls up to 3 days later. We finally got our vehicle in a body shop and took 47 days to repair because of their slow response. They refused to pay for the entire rental car bill when this was not our fault. The body shop couldnt even get a response from them which dragged this process out. Now we are down $400 at no fault to our own. They wont even put me on the phone with a supervisor.Initial Complaint

I was involved in an accident with one of your carriers . They refuse to find the police report and have you locate it . Then they wont accept it because it isnt a full copy . I attached pictures and the full report . State Farm has been calling as well and no response . I sent all documents over 3 weeks ago and still refuse to look at my report case. 25ULS47197 . First Chicago Insurance Company misrepresented themselves by offer renter insurance which they don't offer and I paid for it. We hen the paperwork came in the mail. It was only for vehicle. I paid them $206 for coverage. Then was later billed 20 days later after specifically ask the agent at the ******* office if this payment covered the entire month of May he replied it did. Then I get a letter in the n as mail asking for a payment. When I called the agent says I was only covered for 20 days of service. I went into the physical location and spoke with the agent who wrote vthe policy and was told I can pay it when I can, I'll just be charged a late fee. This was so disheartening because I'm on a fixed income and it's hard to come up with this kind of money at one time. I told the agent who wrote up the policy he should have informed me about the 20 day coverage. His attitude about the situation was very caviler and smug it angered me to my soul. I should have did better research on this company. I just want people to be aware of their tricks, and would like my money refunded.Initial Complaint

I was in a car accident with and insured of First Chicago Insurance Company: ****** **********. I was not at fault, I have a police report to prove it. Ive been trying to reach the ******************** in this area for over 2 months and have yet to receive a call or ************* vehicle was considered a total loss and Ive called and complied with every document possible. Currently my Financial institution is still awaiting a full payoff check 5/8/25. Listed below is the supervisor that has yet to resolve or communicate. This situation has caused me and my family financial hardship and complete mental anguish. This is by far the worst insurance company to deal with. On 3/14 I was in an accident . It took this company nearly a month to conduct the investigation and come to the conclusion my car was to be totaled out . After another week of hunting down the total loss specialist I was told that I would be paid out the minimum of $1500 because of unrelated damages to the car . I bought the car used and all these damages were there already. They did require I send pics when I set up my policy and at no point was I told any existing damages would not be covered . They are trying very hard to not pay me and the estimate that is provided is very expensive as I have taken it to other shops and they confirmed that the insurance company is quoting me on the very high end price . After my $1000 deductible paying me out $500 for a 2013 ********** Passat is deplorable and not even a return on the premiums paid . I would expect at least $3k . The purpose of insurance is to insure you can get a car after an accident and I cant do anything with $500.Initial Complaint

I was hit by a policy holder of First Chicago Insurance. The ********************* cited the person for reckless driving. My car was totaled. I have been trying to get in contact with the insurance adjuster every day. They do not respond to emails or voicemails. This company should be shut down.
