Was side swiped by their insured and their insured was found at fault by the police and first Chicago insurance. They also admitted to their insured being at fault and sent everything over to approval. Almost two weeks after a month of nothing. I call and am told after being told everything should be okay, wait to hear back to send my car for repairs. That now there is an issue with address on their insureds registration. What does that have to do with me. They then block my calls and I had to call multiple numbers to get ahold of someone and the lady I finally reach after 24hrs tells me my adjuster has been in. he apparently put my calls on vacation block. ****** ******* being my adjuster did not like me addressing that issue that my calls were blocked and he is giving me the run around now after telling me I should be good In a few days once he hears back from approval to send my car . To my surprise another issue now being with their insureds registration arises. I asked for a supervisor and ****** told me no he would not give me the number to reach management and if I wanted it I would have to find it myself. Very poor business practices on his end. Very hard to remain calm when the information keeps switching and worse of all an accident that is not your fault and your not trying for anything more but to have your car repaired. ****** told me to get a lawyer if I didnt like the way things are being handled and if they deny my claim I can sue their insured. Their insured has paid their premiums. Why would they intend to make issue for both parties. I have never dealt with a matter such like this. I have found the information to contact management and when *** reached out to management with no luck, no response. I read the BBB and have seen I am not the only one and this seems to be part of their process to blow you off until they cant.Initial Complaint

My girlfriend wrecked my car by hitting a bridge. It took them about three weeks to come see it. During that time I had to get a rental. When appraisal came to look at it he told him that it was drivable. But the car is never taken to a shop or lifted up to look at the bodywork underneath the car. Come to find out I took it to the shop and the struts were broken on it. Not a claim they don't have to pay me back my $900 and reimbursement for the rental carInitial Complaint

I need the settlement check for the repair of the vehicle. There have been multiple e-mail attempts and phone calls towards the adjuster but she refuses to answer the phone call and attempted to close the case without consent from **** called the hotline and they said the adjuster will send me paperwork to sign to receive the settlement check in April. Adjuster never responded to me and she is refusing to contact me. It's been three months since the accident and I still am not compensated for the damages on the vehicle. Horrible insurance company, would not communicate with me or other party involved in auto accident. Ended up denying my insurance claim despite much evidence that their insured customer was at fault including their insured customer admitting to fault. On the 6th of June 2025 at around 5:30pmI was at home when I heard I loud sound outside my home .I run out just in time to see four young men and the adult male at the scene of the accident with my parked car hit and up onto the side of the side walk. The adult male said he was sorry for the accident and provide me with his insurance details . The authorities were called but the police did not come to the scene . I reported the accident immediately to my local police station of what happened. I then called First Chicago Insurance company to report the accident.. They mentioned that would work with me to ensure that my car would be fix. Two days after they had sent out an adjustor they called back to informed me that they would not cover the damage on my car because the owner who was on the scene of the accident is now claiming that he was not the driver of the car...( "said that he had left the car running with keys inside and one of the young man on the scene jumped In and was driving). But yet he was o. The scene with these people! In the state of ************, if someone hits a parked car, their insurance is responsible for covering the damage, . Even if he's now claiming that someone else was driving .The fact that he was at the scene of the accident, he did not report the accident to his insurance company, he didn't report the accident to the police.... for the insurance company now denying the claims because owner claiming that someone else was driving is very wrong!Initial Complaint

First Chicago is a terrible insurance company. This is a condensed timeline to comply with space limitation. Background: Accident was on 3/20/25. Their insured rear-ended my vehicle at a stoplight. The insured admitted fault at the scene & police issued him a citation, for which he plead guilty according to the DuPage County court website. I went to the 5/7/25 court date, but the insured did not show up for court. The day after their insured rear-ended my vehicle I called First Chicago 3 times, each time getting a recording agents were in corporate training. Finally, after 5 days I spoke to an agent who told me where to take my car for an estimate. On 4/1/25 I took it to their shop & the guy took pictures, but said the computers were down so I wouldnt hear anything until the end of the week or beginning of the next. Eight days pass with no contact from First Chicago. I call, leaving my number for a call back 3 days in a row. On the 4th day I receive a call back but missed it. I finally find out who the adjustor is 3 days later. 26 days after the accident, Im finally getting a contact person! 26 days after the accident, she cant tell me if the claim is approved, but says shell be in touch in a day or 2. As if taking 26 days to find out who the adjustor is wasnt ridiculous enough, the next 6 weeks are even worse. There wasn't a call back "in a few days" as I was told on multiple occasions. They dont communicate with you. Communication was a one-way street initiated by me. Long story short, after numerous calls inquiring on the status of the claim & being told numerous times they need more time First Chicago calls on 6/2/25, two & a half months after being rear-ended to say they are NOT covering the claim because they are rescinding their insurance coverage of their insured! Nothing in writing, just a phone call. I was supposed to have received a denial letter. I have not received anything. I have pending medical ********* want my car fixed.Initial Complaint

On April 9, 2025 their insured driver caused an accident with my son while he was borrowing my car. I provided the police report immediately, and shortly there after they had someone come out and take pictures. After that, there have been very few updates and only with me checking in and after a 24 hour wait. For a couple of weeks, the excuse for things not moving forward was because their insured hadn't submitted some sort of paperwork. It is now June 20, *********************************************************************** front of my house. This is just embarrassing at this point. On 4/16/** around 6:40pm I was rear ended by C Simmom while stopped in traffic. He is insured with First Chicago. Police were called and accident # ********** was assigned. C ****** was placed at fault for the accident and admitted to "not paying attention." A few days later I filed a claim with First Chicago so that I could get the damage to my car fixed; claim # **ohz00001220 was assigned. It took until 4/30 before they could send an adjuster out to take pics and I was told I would hear back with 1-2 business days. I never heard anything back. I called on 5/6 to follow up and left a message with no response. I called again on 5/20 and was told they were still trying to get a hold of C ****** for his statement. Was advised they have 30 days to reach their client and then it moves forward to *****. I called again on 6/11 and was told the person assigned to my claim is no longer with the company and they didn't have anymore info; when asked to speak to a manager I was told they are unavailable but would get a call back later that day; I never received that call. On 6/13 I called again and was told they still haven't spoken to their client C ****** and if they end it after the 30 days they will automatically deny the claim. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they're unavailable but I would get a call back; that call never came. I called 6/18 and left another message; it took 32 hours to get a call back and today, on 6/19 I spoke to ********* ******* who also told me they still haven't been in contact with C ******. She wasn't able to tell me how many times the company has tried to reach out via phone/mail. I was told a manager isn't available and that the adjuster now assigned, a ******** ******, also isn't available. She said she would notify them both to call me, however I highly doubt given the call history, that this call will ever come. I have waited over 2 months to get a resolution for an accident that isn't my fault. I want the money to fix my car.
