I took adult dance lessons at Pro Dance Elite Studios for about a year or longer. This place charges fee if we pay late. I always forget things, so I always pay extra to cover the monthly pay. Then I don't have time to go for the REMOVEDI told them I would stop going to adult class for over or about two months before I quit. They require 4 weeks' notice. Then on Sep 25, 2025 I asked if I overpaid for my REMOVEDThe person from REMOVEDresponded, "...you do indeed have a $20 credit on your account still. Would you be available this coming Thursday...." I asked to get my money back. I told them I could not go for Thursday night. I work. I can't. I swinged by the studio on Friday 3rd of October, 2025. The lady said she had no cash. I said I texted that I was going to come today. I asked who texted with me. The lady said it was REMOVEDwho answered my text. Then I left after wasting time and gas to go to that place for $20. My life goes on. I have work. Then I texted Pro Dance Elite again there and there to set up a date to get my money back. I even asked the lady if she could E-refund me back, so I don't have to waste my time. There has not replied back from Pro Dance Elite for over a month. I have all prove on my phone. I know it is just $20, but it is MINE. I work hard and I value my earn. I know I waste more time than $20, but Pro Dance Elite does it as a normal thing. A bank account, once we close the account, we get our money back. WHY Pro Dance Elite decides to keep in the account even though a customer, I, wants to close the account.I request REMOVEDto send the money with an insured-with-tracking-number mail to me.

Response from Pro Dance Elite Studios

We appreciate the opportunity to provide clarification regarding this matter.

Pro Dance Elite Studios maintains detailed and transparent payment procedures for all customers. In this case, Ms. REMOVEDparticipated in our Adult Dance Program several years ago and elected to pay monthly in cash, rather than through our secure online system. Each payment was logged and deposited directly into a secured safe at our facility, per our written policy. For security reasons, cash placed in the safe is not accessible by staff after deposit, and no cash transactions are issued from the studio.

At Ms. REMOVEDrequest, any additional payments made beyond the monthly tuition were applied to her customer account as a credita standard and documented practice to ensure funds are available toward future classes or outstanding balances.
After discontinuing classes over a year and a half ago, Ms. REMOVEDonly recently reached out in October 2025 to inquire about any remaining account credit. Our team promptly confirmed that a $20 credit remained and instructed her to submit a formal request via email so the refund could be processed through our standard accounting procedure. Instead of following this process, Ms. REMOVEDhas engaged in volatile in-person interactions, repeated harassing text messages, and public posts and reviews directed toward our staff. Despite multiple reminders, she has not submitted the required written refund request as instructed.
Unfortunately, following those interactions, REMOVEDescalated to include harassing and threatening language, including a message stating she intended to come to the studio with reinforcements. Due to the escalating and threatening nature of her messages, Ms. REMOVEDphone number was blocked for staff safety, and she was notified in writing that all future communication must be made via our official studio email to maintain documentation and professionalism.

We stand by our records, which confirm that:
All cash payments were appropriately logged and secured.
A $20 account credit remains available for refund by check upon written request to our studio email.
Our policies were clearly communicated, fair, and applied consistently.

Due to documented harassment and threats, staff will not engage in direct or in-person communication with this individual.
Pro Dance Elite Studios takes the safety and well-being of its staff and students very seriously. We respectfully request that all future contact from Ms. REMOVEDoccur in writing through our business email so we may close this matter appropriately and maintain a safe, professional environment.

Please let us know if you need any further information or documentation.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/13/2025

    Complaint: 24122595

I am rejecting this response because:

PDE has NEVER explained anything about the cash I (over) paid in my HIGH-SECURITY account to me. I overpaid each month because I read review from previous customers that they had problems with automatic online payment and other problem with the owner. The customer from 2016 had a hard time contacting PDE to cancel her daughter's class. REMOVEDwas lack of timely manner response when it comes to customer's requesting for canceling or a refund. What a COINCIDENCE, it took the customer (at least 1 or REMOVEDbills to be able to cancel. The same pattern plays here; customer can use it toward the class (Responded by REMOVED. on Yelp). No refund!?!

BBB, you, can read these organic reviews at REMOVED. (Attached).

                ------------>>>>> My play begins here.

I went in on Friday, Oct 3, 2025, because I texted you already (Picture #REMOVEDattached November 8th). I didn't think it will be like squeezing blood from a stone for MY $20. This is why I did not pay attention when you ignore my text by not replying back.

Sep 25th: I asked about my money. You, PDE, replied quickly trying to get customer's MORE MONEY.

REMOVEDI did not reach out in October. (see pictures) REMOVED

    Oct 1st: "I said I couldn't go. I work. I would swing by on Friday 3rd."

Oct 3rd: I went in. I told the lady at the desk I was there for $20. Her smiling face changed. I showed her the text saying that I was going there on Friday. She played innocent (She told me it was REMOVEDwho answered my text), checked my account, ... and then said, "I don't have cash." Of course, I was not happy. Who would smile for this kind of service. It wasted my time and gas. I walked out the studio WITHOUT any instruction to get the refund.

Since she said it was REMOVEDI texted. Same day, Oct 3rd, I texted again to state my intention of getting my money back (Picture #REMOVED& 7232). WHAT PART of my text IS HARASSING on Oct 3 for you to stop replying and blocked? Falsely accusing someone is called defamation.

                   No reply

    Oct 6, 9 ,10, 15: I texted again.

No reply - 12 days (see pictures)

Oct 31: I saw PDE ads on REMOVED. I commented on their ads and PDE page to try let them know I want my money back. Instead of contacting me back, NOPE. PDE blocked me right away and deleted my comments. (see pictures)

Nov 8: I waited 8 more days, no reply.

I started reviewing on REMOVED, Yelp, and REMOVEDfor Pro Dance Elite Studio.

REMOVEDPDE has a (THE FIRST) defensive response on the REMOVEDreview. REMOVEDblamed me for all this happening, making excuses of the HIGHER-THEN-BANKS-SECURITY standard account procedure, denying responsibility for ignoring customers' request, and withdrawing from the conversation. This defensive response is the FIRST TIME PDE mentioned about the email for the STANDARD ACCOUNT PROCEDURE. PDE didn't provide the proper email address to send to.

I also filed a complaint against PDE on BBB.

Nov 9: I sent to a request on PDE's website REMOVEDat REMOVEDAM ~ no response. Ten hours later I found PDE's office email and sent again at REMOVEDPM.

Nov 10: I got a confirmation email from BBB.

12.21 PM, PDE responded on BBB.

7.42 PM, I HEARD BACK FROM PDE the first time since Oct 1, which was the last two-way communication from PDE.

8.45 PM, I emailed back with name and address for the check, and NO reply since.......

    Furthermore,

REMOVEDThe review is fact of real experience for a year or over. REMOVED

REMOVEDI let you know that I will go to the studio this week to get my money with a cop (as I said a special guess) if I need to. To help me dealing with you because I'm a foreigner. NO NO NO, You BLOCKED ME BEFORE I SAID THIS. According to REMOVEDaccusing, "Due to the escalating and threatening nature of her messages, ...phone number was blocked for staff safety." My question is just blocking my phone number would not stop me going there, would it?? What is the hidden reason of blocking my number anyway? REMOVED

REMOVEDYOUR STUDIO HAS CCTV, pull it out show me and BBB what did I do? When did she or you instructed me to submit a formal-request email. I dare you. I was in your studio around 2 minutes. REMOVED

REMOVEDI have the pictures of texting as my conclusive evidence which have NO INSTRUCTION FOR REFUND. Where is yours? REMOVED

REMOVEDWhat is your standard accounting procedure? How many DAYS to write a check? I email as soon as I see the words, "...Please direct any remaining account or refund questions to our studio EMAIL so we can resolve them professionally ..." on your response on my online review after thing gets ugly. It was on Nov 9 I emailed you. REMOVED

~ There are no explanation of solution ONLY blocked customer.

~ Real professional transparency ~ Please provide tracking number of the mail and picture of the check professionally through my email.

~ How many people have given up their money in the HIGH-SECURED ACCOUNT?

    Sincerely,

    Chuthathip REMOVED
