      I received a debt notice of collection in the mail on Sept 10 saying I owe money to ***** I do not have an **** account nor ever purchased anything from ***** This is not my debt, please cancel immediately.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. They state two sentences which are contradictory:

      Once validation is received it will be forwarded to you by mail. Based on your complaint, CBE has ceased collection activity on the account.

      They will be UNABLE to validate any debt I owe to ***** as the debt is not mine. Based on that, I respectfully request that CBE confirm that they have ceased collection activity on this account.

      I have no outstanding debt, and this company has called me every day for the past month. They never leave messages and have called in the early morning and late at night. For a company I have never interacted with and do not own any debts to, this is unacceptable. The harassment is disgusting, and I have never received a letter or an explanation for it. I blocked numbers only to be called by another one the next day. I am not the only one with this issue, and I hope the BBB takes a look into this company and its procedures.

      We have received your complaint and it is important to us.The CBE Group (CBE) has reviewed your complaint and our records regarding call attempts made to the phone number **************.  CBE began making call attempts to ************* on April 28, 2022, in an attempt to reach another individual.  Our records show that CBE made a total of 12 call attempts through September 9, 2022, with no more than one call made in a given day within that time frame. We show that the earliest any call attempt was made was at 9:26 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) and the latest at 2:54 PM PST. Upon receipt of your complaint, CBE took measures to prevent any further calls to **************. We apologize to you for any inconvenience.
