I had my account in autopay. I got a notice that the payment didnt go through. I called the company and they claimed it wasnt on auto pay which is a blatant lie. Then they told me because the payment was late (due to their negligence) I was taken off a program and had to make higher monthly payments. They assured me Id be on auto pay for the next one. Sure enough, I have just received a late payment notice. I called the company and got a very unprofessional representative who told me that it was just because the bank was closed. That makes no sense. She also argued with me about the reason my payments are higher. Saying I was only in that program for 3 months. The last person did not say that. I do not trust this company and will have to continuously log in and check payments. And the customer service is atrocious. I feel I am owed lower payments and an explanation for their negligent practices.

I checked my credit report and noticed I had late payments from FINWISE/LENDINGPOINT . I was going through a hardship caused by COVID since the beginning of 2022 for which I have notified the company multiple times. As you can see, I have made most of my payments on time so I am asking in goodwill faith for this one time to please remove all late payments from my credit report. I am trying to increase my score to qualify for a mortgage and I would greatly appreciate if you guys would forgive the late payments.

Experian made suggestions for loan consolidation; however, viewing the list of loans, I did not apply due to the excessive interest that would be charged. I never moved forward with the process and closed the email. Today, August 31, 2022, I got a letter about a loan I had never applied for. After calling the company, The rep told me not to worry because it was just a soft inquiry. I was not a soft inquiry. Who gives them the right to run credit without permission? I asked for proof of my granting permission along with all supporting documents. The rep said I should file a police report. This was a blatant fraud. I want the inquiry removed ASAP.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns.  We checked our records and found that on August 29, 2022, we received a request for competitive loan options from our partner Experian with some of your personal information (including your social security number, email address, and telephone number).  As a loan marketplace, Experian sends consumer loan requests to the many lenders on its platform. Those lenders, including LendingPoint, then provide their best offers. Consumers agree to a "soft pull" of their credit during this process that allows lenders to provide a preliminary qualification without impacting consumers' credit scores.

If you believe you are the victim of identity theft, LendingPoint recommends you report the suspected identity theft to your local police department and contact the three major credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and Transunion, and work with them to further protect yourself.  Please do let us know if we can support you further and thank you for being the best part of LendingPoint.

My Lending Point payment was due 8/26, Friday. Today is Monday. in the 84 hours since my payment was officially overdue, Lending Point has 1. Called my cell phone 3 times 2. Texted me twice 3. Emailed me three times I answered the 3rd call. The payment is 84 hours late. Not 10 days, not 20 days, or 29 days. Being 84 hours late does not give Lending Point license to harass their customers.

Thank you for letting us know of your frustrations.  Our goal at LendingPoint is to ensure our customers stay on track with their loans, and if something is preventing you from making your payments on time, we may have options, including changing your due date to one that is convenient for you.  In the meantime, we have placed your information on our Do Not Contact list.  Please note that late payments may result in a reallocation of your payment amount, which could result in a remaining balance at the end of your term.   Let us know if we can support you further.

I took out a loan through LendingPoint LLC several months back. All was well and I have no complaints about the process of applying for and receiving funds. My complaint today is that for the third time in three months Ive tried to log into my account using the only email address I have ever provided the company only to be told the credentials are invalid. Upon calling them they are quick to tell me that the email I tried to use is the wrong email for the account and tell me that the email listed on the account is one that has never belonged to me. I have them change it back to mine and I was able to log in just fine. My problem is that somewhere their system has such a massive security hole that peoples personal identifiable information and means to pay their debts is being compromised. Ive done the research and this is definitely not the first time nor am I the only person this has happened to. This has got to be some sort of violation in the handling of peoples personal information and I would like something done about this as soon as possible. If it is allowed to keep happening I have no choice but to seek out what legal options I have in order to protect myself from the possibility that someone could gain access to my personal information. If it continues then I am willing to seek out legal action against LendingPoint LLC.

I used Lending Point for a loan a couple of years ago. I paid them off and did everything I was suppose to do. Well back in June 2022 (and remember I have not used them in over a year) they ripped out **** dollars out of my account. So I called them the next day and they reverted it (and apparently had this happen to a lot of customers) and I had them delete my Checking account from their file. Apparently when they gave the money back they also gave me an extra **** dollars. Honestly I did not know they did this because I got an inheritance so at the same time I had money coming in from that (which I am using for my daughter down payment). To make a long story not as long they did not contact me in any way. You would think if they wanted their money back they would contact you. Since they did not have my checking account anymore they went directly to my bank and had them take every cent I had. This was not **** but it was over **** dollars and every cent I had in my account. now the **** was in my Savings which my bank happily transferred to my check and gave them it all. Now since then I have stopped using that account because I didn't even know who took the money until today (my bank wouldn't tell me and only said a letter was sent) so I had to assume more was coming. FYI that **** was put aside for my daughter's house payment (her first house) but luckily I had the rest of the down payment in another account and bank. we are suppose to close this week so I had to do a lot of work to make sure she has the money for the closing because of this. I get I owe the money even though they gave it to me without my knowledge (after they stole **** dollars from me) but ripping money out of my bank account without telling me is a very bad business practice. What I do ask for is an apology and to set up a payment plan so I don't have to take money out of my inheritance to deal with this. if you are considering a loan don't use Lending Point!

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns.  On June 21, 2022, we were notified by one of our processing banks that they inadvertently reprocessed ACH debit transactions from a year-old file.  This resulted in your bank account being debited incorrectly.  The processing bank requested a reversal of the transactions on June 22, 2022, and is continuing its investigation into the cause of their process breakdown.

As this issue originated with our processing bank, LendingPoint does not have a record of additional funds being owed, but we are here to help resolve any outstanding issues.  We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to assist you in finding a resolution.  Please contact our customer service team at ************** or ****************************************** for further support.

This was suppose to be a lending company, that had contacted me about a loan that I needed, I should have listened to my feelings then none of this would had happened, the company contacted saying that they had looked at records let me make this short I sent them $300 through money gram , which after they had received will contact me back to give me the 10 digit code to pick up my funds for $3,000 as well as the money I had sent to them originally, needless to say after I had given them the my $300 after going over it several time with the associate manager that this was not a scam,I was to call him back to get the code for the money gram, after call I lie to you not about 30 times back to back low and behold, by the 31st call all of a sudden the number was disconnected and I am ****** as the point of pisstivity I should have listened to my gut feeling and none of this would had happened if you are looking for a loan Carefully review them and never send them money period! That makes me so upset that these nasty little schmucks, do this to people ? And 7 out of 10 ( I am one of the 7s) gets screwed. I should had went through the people who I have went to before (Upstart) bc they are 100% legit I will know next time

We are so sorry to hear this.  We checked our system and do not have an application with your name, email address, or telephone number. This appears to be the work of bad actors using our name to contact innocent consumers with the promise of a loan in exchange for a deposit in the form of cash or gift cards.  We are not affiliated in any way with these bad actors and are actively working to shut them down.  If you have the email address or phone number they corresponded with, please send that to **********************************.  In the meantime, we suggest contacting your local police and submitting an internet crimes report to the *** at https:www.ic3.gov, as well as taking all appropriate steps to protect your identity, including calling the credit bureaus.   Thank you for informing us so we can continue our efforts.

8/9/22 I was offered an online loan from Lending point, lendinpointco.wpcomstaging.com I was defrauded. They wanted to verify my identity by depositing money in my account then me sending it back to them. I told them I would not until the deposit was no longer pending and my bank flagged them. It looks like they even filed a claim with my bank to generate a credit that they wanted me to use to pay them.
