  Scam! Beware! The technician told me after an inspection that my chimney was unsafe and it needed a liner for $4,000. I got a second opinion from another company - turns out I have a stainless liner and its in really good shape. Very unethical business practices! Stay away!

  I requested a chimney inspection. Two men arrived, provided an "inspection," and suggested a cleaning. I moved forward with the cleaning, which I now doubt was a professional cleaning. During their cleaning, they broke the damper cable, which I only realized after the cleaning once they left; never to be repaired. Upon paying for the cleaning, they also requested a TIP for their work.During their visit, they also recommended replacing 2 chimney caps for $400.00 each (total of $800.00); requiring an upfront payment. I made the upfront payment for the chimney caps, but shortly afterwards, told them I did not want the chimney caps and requested a refund. They never refunded the $800.00 (plus tax) nor did they come back to repair the damper cable. I tried several times to request a refund by reaching out to their office line, and the receptionist (likely outsourced) would say that my call was noted and pending manager approval. Obviously, the refund never occurred.Thus, I paid $800.00 (plus tax) for chimney caps I do not have nor did I want, and have a damper that's always open as the cable they never repaired the cable they damaged.This company appears to be a fraud. Most of their online reviews appear to be fake...but one can easily spot the real reviews.It may be prudent to only reach out to a chimney sweep company possessing the *****Certified Chimney Sweep credential.

  I needed someone to come out and inspect the chimney, sweep it, and repair the firewall per a home inspector when I bought the house. Home inspector stated the outside vent also needed to be replaced, so I called this company to do it. To start, they showed up a couple hours late. The $99 inspection consisted of him holding a flashlight the equivalent of a phone light on the inside, and looking upwards for under 10 seconds. $99 right there. He said the crack wasnt bad and just needed some caulk. To sweep it, I went for a level 2 which still only went halfway up the chimney with the equivalent of a large vacuum. That was $400. When I took him outside, he looked at the vent and said that was for a dryer and not a fireplacewhich was clearly on the chimney, and the dryer being on the complete opposite side of the house. He did not fix the vent or have any true knowledge whatsoever as I had previously been informed by the home inspector. After it was all said and done, without the price being known until the end, the cost of a half chimney sweep/vacuum, and some $8 caulk on a crack was a total of $700. This place is a complete ripoff and scam, and not worth your hard earned money. There is also a tip at the end. Please go elsewhere to someone cheaper and with knowledge of how a fireplace works.
