I received email notification from Venmo for charges made to my account on 7/19 for $1.00 and 7/26 for $25.43 to peoplelooker. I did not make these purchases and had no idea what peoplelooker was. I had to ****** who this was. I did reach out to Venmo and am awaiting response. I would like a refund and for this site (peoplelooker) to be investigated.Business Response

I tried their free seven day trial. And whenever I tried to cancel my trial, they would tell me I was giving them the wrong information when I sent them everything they asked for they still refused to cancel my trial and now Im being charged $21.51. Ive emailed them multiple times and Ive gotten no response. I did pay my one dollar for the initial seven day trial but it would never let me cancel it and now Im being charged.Business Response

In March, I decided to take advantage of a $1 trial offer for a 7-day trial of a particular service. I distinctly remember canceling my subscription within the specified time frame. Despite not using the service for several months, I was surprised to discover that I had been charged for a total of three months, amounting to $68.67. Naturally, I reached out to the company and requested a refund, but unfortunately, all I received was an automated email informing me that my account had been canceled. To my dismay, I haven't received any response from a real customer service representative regarding my refund request. This experience has made me realize that this business operates in a dishonest manner. I'm desperately seeking assistance from anyone who can help me retrieve my refund.Business Response

Upon further review, it appears we did not receive a request to cancel prior to the end of the trial until today. In that event, your account was automatically renewed to the monthly subscription of $21.51. When signing up for our background reports, the subscription does outline that it will auto-renew until elected to cancel. You can contact ** to cancel at any time, and will not be billed for your next billing cycle.

I had requested that PeopleLooker.com remove my personal information from the website. Apparently, the file name - *************************, was changed to ****************When I submit my name and address, the search engine immediately begins a search for "**************". I want my personal data, including all newly affiliated names created by PeopleLooker.com, removed from the site. I am rejecting this response because: When I originally requested BeenVerified remove "*************************" from the organizations website, "*************************" was changed to "****************" Also when my sibling requested his name be removed from this website, his name was changed from First Name/Last Name to First Name/First Initial of his last name. There is a correlation between the two file names.The changes occurred on multiple websites, including "PeopleLooker." If "****** C" has multiple names, why, when I enter "*************************" on the "PeopleLooker" website, the entry is changed to "****** C" and later in the search I am asked for a city and state. When I enter the requested data, a file is produced. I am the only "****** C" in ************, **. There is a correlation between "*************************" and "****** C" within the data files for "Been Verified", "PeopleLooker" and affiliated websites.
These data websites, including "BeenVerified" which controls data for multiple websites uses the "Your data has been removed" excuse however, in reality the data has been MOVED/RENAMED to a different file. If this were not the case "PeopleLooker", which relies on "BeenVerified" to maintain/remove data, would not be able to produce a file for "*************************" in ************, **. Please remove all references to "*************************" or related data files for "**************". Thank you.

I signed up for a trial of this service and paid $1. I then received the report I wanted and promptly cancelled the trial the same day. I hadnt noticed they were billing me because I received an inheritance but it seems they have monthly since September. I signed up online to peoplelookers.com I signed up for a $1 7-Day trial I looked up two people one being myself and received no information I immediately canceled on the second day into my $1 7-Day trial on April 28th 2023 peoplelookers.com withdrew $6.98 the next fraudulent transaction was on May 5th 2023 people lookers withdrew ****** I called and texted people lookers and been verified which is connected to people lookers and there was no acknowledgment of their scam by this time I'm very angry and frustrated and just chasing my tail,! High anxiety!! I called my bank and reported the scam and close that account but both transactions had already gone through The only saving ***** is I have proof that it was people lookers who took my money. The first transaction of $6.98 had a company name fitness ga and the phone number listed with this company is ************ which is a peoplelookers.com phone number May 5th 2023 transaction listed a name Iron Men fitness and the phone number on this transaction was ************ which is also a people lookers phone number!? I do not go to any gym or workout facility and surely not in ******* these people have scammed a whole lot of people and really should not be in business the good thing is that they are stupid scammers and use their own phone number. .Business Response
