I have attempted several times to contact equifiax via their customer support and even emailed their CEO. However they still report this ************************* on my credit. Its causing my credit to take a massive hit and its costing me thousands on my home loan. This was fraud. Also they are illegally reporting that I have missed payments from both ******** secret as well as rue 21 credit cards however I have supplied the documents that proves I do not have any missed payments. Im desperately trying to have my report corrected so that I can buy my new home and not pay thousands extra a year in interest due to an illegally miss reported fraud claim on my account. Sadly equifax refuses to help with the matter after emailing and calling them every day for two weeks.Business Response

I'm bothered that you have incorporated the data beneath in my credit profile and that you have neglected to keep up sensible methods in your activities to guarantee most extreme conceivable exactness in the credit reports you distribute. Credit announcing laws guarantee that agencies report just 100% exact credit data. Each progression should be taken to guarantee the data detailed is totally precise and right. The accompanying data in this way should be re-researched. I am having major issues with finding inaccurate/ invalidated accounts after carefully pulling my credit report from your agency. I have no knowledge of these items or inaccurate information as My information was impacted by the Equifax data breach and may have gotten into the hands of the wrong person. You are reporting negligently and inaccurately and failing to comply to the FCRA.I realise you have no legal standing as a federally protected consumer, and you can't employ an attorney against me.I'll file for a default judgement, and ill file a class action lawsuit for violations, stress, and mental anguish, as well as at least 1% of the corporation, under TILA ****, OR ANY OTHER AMOUNT OF DAMAGES UNDER 1692K.Customer Answer

I believe Equifax is treating me unfairly and not disclosing information they must disclose according to law when it comes to validation of an account on my credit report. I have notified Equifax to remove an errant account on my credit report 3 separate times. Please see attachment 002, 007, and 010. Within these mailings I have included my correspondences with the creditor, in which they never validated the debt making it errant. Please see attachment 024 and 025. Proof of receipt can be seen in attachment 005, 008, and 011. I have received templated responses in attachments 006, 009, and 012. I have asked Equifax to provide the proof in which they have validated this account within attachment 013 (proof of receipt attachment 014). I still receive a templated response, not addressing my questions in attachment 017. I have brought the creditor to small claims court and have received a default judgment against them because they failed to defend, rebut, or deny my claims regarding this account. See attachment 026. I find it hard to believe that Equifax has validation when the creditor cannot even provide validation. I believe Equifax is in violation of 15 USC (a)(4) by not treating me fairly and in violation of 15 USC ****i (a)(5)(A)(i) by intentionally not providing validation of a disputed debt that they continue to report. I believe Equifax should remove errant account JPMCB CARD SERVICES ending in **** from my credit report.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:In my letters sent to Equifax, I have asked them to disclose who the furnisher is. Equifax's response is still hiding who the furnisher is.
Also, I do not believe Equifax will send me the actual validation directly because they have been avoiding it. I would like to keep BBB in the loop.
So to be clear, I expect Equifax to provide the certified, validated proof that the debt associated with JPMCB CARD SERVICES ending in **** on my credit report is a valid debt. I expect Equifax to disclose who the furnisher is of this information. I expect this certified evidence that they disclose is stronger evidence than my shared mailings with the creditor, and the default judgment I have shared against the creditor. The BBB needs to see these documents come to me.

Complaint: 19368724
I am rejecting this response because:Equifax continues to push off responsibility. They continue to say they will mail me investigation results in which the BBB will not see the response to. I have already tried working directly with Equifax. This is the reason I am choosing to go through the BBB.
Equifax asks me to work directly with the creditor. This has already been done. I have seen numerous mailings with no adequate response. It is my prerogative on how I deal with the creditor (I have already had a default judgment rules against them).
Thia complaint is solely regarding Equifax. I need Equifax to take responsibility and provide me with their validation of the debt in a way that the BBB can see. If Equifax cannot do this, they simply must remove the account from my credit report. It is that simple.
Sincerely,

Equifax is a repository of credit information which has been supplied by creditors, collection agencies and public record holders. As such, we do not collect or maintain copies of contracts between consumers and their creditors. Not all companies choose to report account information to Equifax. Those that do report on a regular basis appear on the credit report. However, through our investigation process, we are able to contact the furnishers of the information and either confirm or correct the data reporting on the file. Once a request for verification of a disputed item(s) has been received by Equifax, each data furnisher will be contacted directly by Equifax. This process is usually accomplished by sending the request for verification electronically and may take 30 days to complete. Once the data furnisher's response is returned to Equifax, any updates related to the disputed item(s) will be recorded on the credit report. Once all Data furnishers have responded to our request for their review, the consumer is sent a copy of each of the Data Furnishers responses they provided to Equifax.
