1 starCalled what I believed was hotel phone number. Told them I was under a 'blocked' group and I was to have special rate. Man told me there were not enough rooms, I had to pay higher price. Asked several times and stated it was online as lower. He insisted that it's not how it was done, I needed the room and did agree to a non refundable room. We needed it and I thought I would be charged same once the page updated online. Found out later everyone else was able to get the room for the lower rate. I called back, not to cancel my room, but to at least get a credit for the amount I over paid for another time. This man, told me it was their AGENTS mistake, that I'd get a REFUND but I had to make a NEW reservation with the hotel directly. The agent GAVE me the desk number. Then he said to call back and cancel the higher priced reservation. When I called back the story got changed FROM 'agent mistake, complete refund' to credit I can use the next 120 days. Due to my reservation being canceled and having a no refund policy. Which I was okay with, thinking I'd use it on new reservation and only be out $300 for another day. I found out today, I cannot use the credit they gave me on my new reservation THEY HAD ME MAKE STRAIGHT WITH HOTEL. Because, surprise, the reservation was NOT through them. I am currently waiting to hear if NOW they will refund me back to my credit card. I'm even more upset that I can never talk to the people making the decisions. It's an email response without a direct phone line to the person to settle this. And the need for up to 2 business days.Review fromRichard S
