Got new tires from RNR Tires Express 5407 ************************************, and they cross thread my lug nut. So when I had to have front end work done the stud broke off. I would like for them to fix the broken stud and give me four new tires no money owed.Business Response

Before we installed the new tires, we notified the customer that the vehicle had a wheel bearing that needed to be replaced, and failure to do so could lead to issues including placing extra stress on the studs. He assured us that he understood and would get the issue addressed ASAP, but still needed to have the tires installed right away.
We have attempted to reach the customer multiple times. We're willing to work with the customer to get the stud replaced, perform a free alignment, and get payments back on track. We're willing to accept the tires back, offer a full refund, and cancel our agreement. The customer even agreed to do this but then didn't come in.
Our call log and call recordings are attached. The last call may be where communication broke down. Customer was calling to make a payment, but ***** (store manager) thought he was calling to return the tires. Customer set an appointment to do this last Wednesday but we haven't been able to reach him since.
We are more than happy to work with any customer who is acting in good faith, and have even paused weekly payments while attempting to contact him. Refusing to communicate and demanding a free set of tires after just a small down payment does not feel like good faith. If the customer would return our calls or come by the store, we're still willing to honor the above options or discuss other solutions. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I em appalled at the treatment I received from this business. I was at home July 17th 2025 approximately 305pm and a friend gets to my house and texts me that my tires are gone off of my ******** Escalade. I go outside and sure enough my truck is left on BRICKS. Now im aware I was only renting the tires from this place but they took my 24 inch rims that were my property as well. Left me completely helpless. How em I suppose to get anywhere at this point. If there was an emergency I cant do anything about it. I have a 3 month old daughter that has doctors appointments that im unable to take her to. This is seriously unprofessional by far. I don't even have a way to go pick up my rims that they took FROM me. Somehow this has to be illegal in some way regardless if I was late on a payment that they were aware of. I explained my situation that I was waiting for a check in the mail they were okay with that but still came and repossessed them off of private property and left my ******** Escalade truck on bricks. Which could potentially cause more damage to my vehicle that they would be responsible for. They never once notified me at the time of collection, knocked on my door, called me, or told me they were outside, nothing. Im very disappointed in the service I received. They even harassed me constantly and threatened me with authority numerous times in writing and verbally. They tried to lie and say I violated the terms and conditions of the contract because I supposedly moved and didnt notify them. That was a complete lie, I never moved and they knew it. My car motor blew at least 1 week after getting new tires. I called and told them to collect the tires from ******* Auto because the car is not drivable. The representative for RNR tires told me I would still have to pay for the tires or remove the tires myself but I am not the one who put the tires on the car and I was also told that the previous tires will be held until further notice now she cannot find tires to put on the vehicle and she also trying to charge my card for an additional payment keep in mind i haven't had my car since July 9, 2025. I would just like for them to collect the tires and refund me for $30 I was charged to pay even after telling them the situation with this vehicle.Business Response

I have received the complaint and have revied everything pertaining. Per our lease to own purchase agreement, clients have the option to return leased items at anytime. In this situation, the customer is requesting our staff to go into the field to the location of the disabled vehicle and "collect" our merchandise. At RNR Tire Express, it is the client's responsibility to return the items to our stores to terminate the lease during normal business hours. Other businesses will not let us take off our products at their locations. The client is requesting a refund for the end result. We are a pay in advance service and payments are to be made on or before the client's due date and rental payments are non-refundable while the customer is in possession of the products. I am rejecting this response because lack of resolution and poor customer service Ive received from RNR Tires regarding a set of tires I am being held responsible for despite the vehicle being non-drivable and out of my possession.
I have requested to speak with a manager multiple times, but my concerns continue to be redirected to a representative named ******, who only contacts me about payment. This is not helping me find a solution to the actual problem.
As a young woman currently experiencing financial hardship, including an ongoing eviction, I do not have the tools, equipment, or physical ability to remove tires from a vehicle myself. Nor do I believe that should be my responsibility. I also have not been given any clear information about what happened to my original tires.
At the time of signing, the tires were within my budget. However, now that the vehicle is not operational, and I cannot even utilize the tires, continuing to pay for them is an unfair financial burden. With no access to the product or service, and no manager willing to assist me directly, I feel I am being taken advantage of.
If the tires are RNRs merchandise, then it should be up to them to retrieve them not me. I am asking the BBB to assist in resolving this matter, as my attempts to handle it directly have been ignored or redirected without real support.
It's also brought to my attention my name is spelled incorrectly.

I purchased new rims and tires from RNR Tires on ******* Highway I arrived at my appointment time to be told I didn't have an appointment I was told they could squeze me in I started looking at my options to be told I only had the option of choosing from 2 different styles and I wasnt allowed to choose the brand of tires My appt was at 11 and my car wasnt ready til 2 I am handed documents to sign They took my debit card and ran it and when they came back into the office they hand me a sealed envelope with all the documents I had signed I am told that my car was almost ready I waited outside to have to go back in and get my keys the guy walked right past me that pulled it in the front of the building I am told at that time that I needed to sign a paper cause my struts & shocks were completely gone I signed it cause 4-5 guys standing around me makes me nervous they gave me a quote & I left Yesterday the repo guy shows up never announced himself and started taking off my ***************************** and refused to allow me to give him my payment I was unable to get to the bank or get to their office to pay cause my air went out and I can't be in direct heat and I told them that the last time I spoke with someone on the phone when I looked out my door seeing their truck that is what I thought he was here for but I was mistaken He was very rude so I matched his energy and I don't regret it If you don't like your job thats not my fault a little compassion could go alot further than a nasty attitude I have not recieved any calls from them I knew I was late on the payment but I guess I had misunderstood the policy but there was absolutely no reason to come on someones property with a attitude He is lucky You dont go into someones car and property unannounced I understand his job and they should at least wait for the monthly payment to be due first before they become jerks and leave peoples car on center blocks and tell me no he didnt have my other rims and tires now that a hit on my creditBusiness Response

Im sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. There are a few matters we'd like to clarify. Firstly, it appears that your vehicle did require shocks and struts. The document you were asked to sign was merely a quote, and in your specific case, the struts could only be obtained directly from **** Regarding your keys, we adhere to a policy that mandates only a manager can complete the installation, which means the keys must be handed to the manager who will then return them to you. This protocol is in place to prevent any mix-*** with your keys.
We have made several attempts to reach you via text and phone calls, and we also tried contacting the references you provided. Unfortunately, the only time we managed to speak with you, the call was ended as soon as we announced who we were,. Additionally, you did not make your initial payment on time, despite the agreement clearly outlining the due date. This left us with no option but to recover our property. Concerning the drivers behavior, we do have body camera footage that we will review.
Regarding your credit impact, as long as we receive the one wheel and tire that you took back into your home, we will consider this matter resolved, and you will not owe us anything further, nor will there be any further negative implications. why here...Customer Answer

I am fully aware of my actions...BUT when u come on someones property messing with their vehicle....UNANNOUNCED...could have ended differently than me just being mad. You are sending your employees out to what could be a few possible scenarios. What if that guy had jacked MY car up on MY property and MY car fell on HIS head?? He didn't tell me he was on my property...Or I wasn't home...Or whatever....He could have been seriously hurt or worse! Had your driver came and knocked on the door and had some professionalism about himself...this wouldnt have escalated to me "holding" the tire! How about we all watch the video?? Where in this contract does it state that you are permitted to come on my property, unannounced, & commence to removing property without making someone aware at the very minimum?? Is it policy to just be inconsiderate? Wouldn't it have been much easier for him not to be rude and take my payment instead?? Or at least ask if he could put my old tires back on instead of leaving my car sitting on the center blocks in my driveway creating another hazard on my property?? It says I have the option to change my pay date to any of the options but yet I wasn't given that option. I was 11 days late but haven't had the tires and rims 30 days...it's not even July 21 2025 yet??

I financed wheels and tires through RNR and the total payoff would be $3117.74. They have charged me $3805.39. I went up to the store and they blamed it on a guy them at no longer works there only overcharging me for ************* They say they only over charged me by $286.66. They say there is the total that is excluding taxes and fees, if this it the case why was the total on two separate pages on the loan documents saying that total instead of the $3117.74. And if I didnt catch this they would probably still be charging me.Business Response

Purchased 4 new Hercules tires and a roadside assistance package they offered.I had to make 2 payments for the ************************* I went ahead andto the finance part and paid it off within a week First payment was $900.00 and the last payment was $1000.00 on May 25th,2025.I was told they weren't going to honor the road.Side package that I purchased since I wasn't going to be making payments since I paid in full. The **** a has a manufacturer's warranty for defective tires ect. The drivers front tire blue apart from the beads, separated from the bead of the tire. The front and back ture bead is still on the rim of the tire. They have offered no help. Failed to follow the guidelines of the manufacturer warranty by not logging the mileage at the time of installation on my vehicle. The mileage is required by the manufacturer's to honor any warranty.When we spoke to a tech at *** Tire we were informed they do not logg miles, just not something that they do. Hercules tires requires the mileage at the time of installation. This of course keeps fraud from happening and filing warranty claims that aren't within the time frame of the warranty period.The vehicle had to be towed home from ***********. We have had to try to figure this situation out by ourselves. A different shop in ******, who is an authorized dealer for the Hercules Tires is trying to assist us to file a warranty claim. However we don't have the miles at the time of installation.Therefore more than likely will cost us the claim.Asking for.The total cost of the tires, $1900, and the cost of the tow $125. *** didn't do their part to ensure the tires would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty by logging the miles at the time of installation. First and foremost I am grateful nobody was injured and no property was damaged during this incident. When ******* purchased the tires he was debating between doing our easy payment program which comes with road hazard protection which is something the customer pays for each week.
******* decided against doing the payments and paid $1,725.25 for his tires on May 20th, 2025. On June 21st, 2025 ******** tire unexpectedly blew out while driving on the highway and he called the store that day to see what the next steps were to get a tire replaced. I informed ******* there is a manufactures warranty on the tire and I will work with the vender on getting a replacement tire ordered but I needed pictures of the tire to submit with the claim. I never received any pictures and I take full accountability for not following up with ******* about not getting the pictures.
On July 3rd Michaels mom called the store asking questions about the warranty and process and I informed her I would work with the vender on getting the tire replaced and I was waiting for pictures to do so which she sent me. I Informed her with it being a Holiday weekend there is a chance the process may take a few days but I will contact her as soon as we make progress on the warranty and I will update her later the following week as soon as I hear back.
The BBB claim came through on 7/8 and I followed up with ******* regarding the issue and told him that I got pictures from his Mom from the accident and like I had promised him on the phone on June 21st now that I have pictures I will work with our vender on the warranty process. He was grateful for the phone call and appreciated me reaching out and informed me Hercules had already replaced his tire for him and that it was going to be installed later in the day. I followed up with ******* again at 245pm and he informed me his replacement tire had been installed and he appreciated me following up with him to make sure everything was resolved.Initial Complaint

I set up a payment plan with this business, and fully paid off what was owed for the set of tires I acquired from them. Since then they have taken money from my account on multiple occasions, given I was reimbursed the first 2 times. However, on Friday, June 20th, they took ***** from my account. I have called multiple times to get this issue resolved, they continuously claim they will reach out to me at a later time, but have not done so. I have asked to be taken out of the system on all occasions which they assured me was taken care of but it was not. This time I ended up having some reconnection fees applied to my lights as a result of this transaction and there was no empathy at all from the company.Business Response

Twice now some guy has shown up at my door at 8pm banging and banging and banging. He has seriously acted like he was going to tear the door down. First time I answered my ring doorbell and explained to him the person they were looking for was not there and no I didnt know where he was or when he would be around. He kept going on and on. I finally told him I was home alone and he was scaring me since I had asked him to leave several times and he refused to leave. Even telling me at one point he couldnt leave. Second time he came pounding on the door while I was at work. He scared my minor son. My MINOR son then got on the camera and told him that the person he was looking for didnt live at the house, he kept telling my minor son to come to the door. My so. Asked him and told him to leave for 5 minutes. He kept telling my son he needed him to come to the door. He even tried interacting with my dog in hopes to get him to bark and get someone to open the back door. I know this because he literally said to my dog can you bark so they will come out. He continues to say loudly so my neighbors can hear stuff about stolen property. The person they are looking for does not live at this address. Employee can not deny any of this as it is all on camera. I am about to press charges for harassment if he keeps it up. On March 8, 2025 Ms. ******** signed a Rental-Purchase Agreement to obtain 4 brand new Hankook Kinergy ST tires. The total agreement rent cost to her was $1,357.80. The 5 Months Same-As-Cash offer was $774.08 and expired 150 days from the rental date. She paid $5.00 down on 3/8/25, and 4 more payments, totaling $538.05. That total included tax, late fees and other coverage options she opted into. Total in Rent applied to her agreement was $306.30. Her last payment was made on 5/25/25. She did not make another payment, and in late June she let us know she returned her vehicle with our tires on it to the Buy Here Pay Here Dealer (Car Hop). She did not let us know before hand or give us a chance to retrieve the product that we own from the vehicle.
Since she filed this complaint against us she did contact ****** and they gave us back our tires. This closes her current account with us. We have accurately kept records on the payments she has made, and her account is closed despite the past due rent and fees still owed.Customer Answer

I have paid for my tires every month since March and the amount I was informed I had left to pay was $141 which is what my bill cost each month and now am being told I owe $774.08 after I called to inform the company that the car was returned to carhop where it was originally bought from by my ex and due to it no longer being in my possession, I should no longer owe any money. When I told *** that I was treated unfairly by the employee on the phone. He was rude and very unprofessional. And then received a text from said employee claiming I owe them $774.08 which is how much money my bill started out as. So I'm asking for justice and a refund and no more contact from ***.Business Response

On March 8, 2025 Ms. ******** signed a Rental-Purchase Agreement to obtain 4 brand new Hankook Kinergy ST tires. The total agreement rent cost to her was $1,357.80. The 5 Months Same-As-Cash offer was $774.08 and expired 150 days from the rental date. She paid $5.00 down on 3/8/25, and 4 more payments, totaling $538.05. That total included tax, late fees and other coverage options she opted into. Total in Rent applied to her agreement was $306.30. Her last payment was made on 5/25/25. She did not make another payment, and in late June she let us know she returned her vehicle with our tires on it to the Buy Here Pay Here Dealer (Car Hop). She did not let us know before hand or give us a chance to retrieve the product that we own from the vehicle.
Since she filed this complaint against us she did contact CarHop and they gave us back our tires. This closes her current account with us. We have accurately kept records on the payments she has made, and her account is closed despite the past due rent and fees still owed.
