Public misinformation using my name and personal identity. A cursory search using my name on Information.com shows statements in boxes implying that I have multiple criminal records and uncensored graphic images. I believe these written statements are made to entice people to pay for services and information that does not exist. I have NEVER had any criminal records or published graphic content. I believe this misinformation has caused me to lose job opportunities recently. I work for government entities and hold positions of public trust. Any prospective employer doing a cursory online search using my name will see these false statements and choose not to move forward with my job applications. Its a disgraceful marketing tactic and false advertising, more importantly it is defamatory. I have screenshots of the statements of the above.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Information.com LLC has chosen not to correct their false statement and advertising tactic wherein they literally state they have uncovered multiple criminal records matching the name ******* *******.This is false and defamatory. I want them to cease and desist from making such false statements using my name. It doesnt say may, it alleges a fact that I have multiple criminal records which are untrue. They do this to everyone. If they do not cease and desist from making such defamatory statements on their website, I will seek counsel to file a class action on behalf of everyone that they have alleged uncovering multiple criminal complaints that do not exist. This is an egregious form of false advertising and can be seriously damaging to people who work in high security jobs or who are in a position of public trust.
They must immediately remove the statement from their website which falsely and publicly states people of having multiple criminal records when that statement is clearly false and defamatory.
Sincerely,
******* *******Business Response

I authorized a .99 charge for a simple (and useless) report in February of 2025 for an individual we were looking for for work. The report was useless (but thats whatever). I notice some random charges on my card today. I go to my ****** and this company has been charging my credit card twice a month since then!!! Three times in February! I have requested a refund and for all charges to cease. We will see if they even respond.Business Response
