Date of transaction: 3/22/23 one year contract thru 3/22/24 contract#****** Pest Control Service cycle ***************** address: *********************************************************************, my rental unit.I contracted with Rapid Pest Control for rodent service and paid the year service charge of$599 on 3/22/23. Another company 1st Pest control began billing my credit card in the amount of $199 charge of $199 was billed to my credit card twice. I contacted Ist Stryke Pest Control and informed them I had paid Rapid pest Control $599 for the year service. However, they continued to bill me so I canceled the credit card.I contacted Rapid Pest control on 8/9/23 because I needed proof for Sect8 the Service was being performed. I called them repeatedly and when I gave my contact number I got a recording stating the service had been canceled. My rental unit was placed in rebate and I failed to receive the rent from Sect8 because I couldnt supply the proof of service. I had to contact another pest .control to supply the proof of service. I would like to receive a refund because this company caused me a big problem because they failed to provide the contracted service.Thank you for your help in resolving this manner *****************************Initial Complaint

Date of Transaction 2/20/2023 Amount: $629 Agreement: 1 year of pest control to include multiple home visits throughout the year as needed. Broker would contract out local pest control in a timely manner as needed.During the first couple of weeks everything seemed fine - a local pest control company came out and did their thing, and then a few days later came back to check on traps. During the second visit the technician explained that if we had a good experience with him "his" company would love to work with us directly... and that the broker has been really bad about paying them on time or at all in some cases. I was really shocked to find this out. Over the summer I tried reaching out to the broker to schedule another pest control visit - we've had a ton of rain, and the pests are trying to get back in the house :)... The phone number blocks you via caller ID. It recognizes my cell phone number so whether I follow the prompts as an existing customer, or a new customer, it tells me my account is inactive and hangs up on me. I tried reactivating online via their online portal and I get the same autogenerated message that my phone number is linked to an inactive account and to contact that company. I have also reached out over email.On top of this I was charged a random $299 in June with no explanation. I was able to dispute this with Discover and won the dispute. But when I tried to dispute the initial charge of $629 they had trouble finding support for my claim. Apparently its okay to scam someone for a year of service, and having leveraging their services ONE time to come out is worth the full amount I paid. The local company was great, but this broker was absolutely a scam, and Discover says their hands are tied.. So, that's it i guess - hundreds of people (potentially) scammed and the credit card companies cant do anything. So what's next, a lawsuit? Maybe a class action lawsuit?All I want is for my original charge to be adjusted - I'll pay for the initial visit and trap check, but that was not worth $629. A couple hundred maybe.. I'm not even asking for a full refund as compensation for all of my TIME. That wouldn't be fair to the local company that actually did their job.Initial Complaint

I contracted Rapid Pest Control to ********** pest control for 1 full year, coming out to do services quarterly. This contract was paid on 3/10/23 in the amount of $599 for one full year. They came out to do service in March 2023, but a company called Pelican Pest control came out and said that they were subcontracted by Rapid Pest Control. My next service was due in mid- June 2023 and I've tried calling Rapid Pest control multiple times, I have sent emails multiple times and no one will return or answer their phones.Pelican Pest Control has contacted me stating that RApid Pest Control has not paid them either for the service they provided in March 2023.Rapid Pest Control charged the original contract amount of $599 in March 2023 and since then has charged my account $199, $299 and another $299. I have filed with my Discover card to not pay these transactions as well by disputing them.Initial Complaint

I scheduled and paid for Rapid Pest Control to provide a service call to my home to treat a bug problem on 5/9/2023 in the amount of $1325.00. The date scheduled for the home service was Monday, 5/15/2023, with a service person to call sometime during the week leading up to the service date to discuss the treatment, preparation, and answer questions. I was also advised the day of the service there would be a phone call to notify me of a one hour advance notice of arrival. During the week prior to 5/15/2023, there was no phone call or email or any contact. The day of the service, 5/15/2023, there was no phone call or email or any contact. The service resulted in a no-show. The following day as well as the next three (3) days following the service date, I made numerous phone calls to Rapid Pest Control to speak with someone to find out what happened and how to proceed, but was not able to speak with anyone and was only provided the option to leave a message, which I did provide my name, phone number, and a message. There was no return call or response to any of my messages. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied having paid for a service in advance and have nothing in return. If that wasn't enough, two (2) months later in June, I see two (2) new charges on my credit card in the amount of $299 each (total $598) from Rapid Pest Control. I have sought assistance from my bank to deny any further charges to my credit card by Rapid Pest Control. I am seeking a refund of the fee paid in the amount of $1325.00.Initial Complaint

Below is the last email I sent to Rapid Pest on 7/3/23 summarizing the issues Account # ****** My credit card company advised me on Saturday that your company billed my credit card $299 2X on the same date 6/30/23. 1st of all I have had nothing but problems with your company since I signed up with you 2/10/23. I paid in good faith for the annual service in full when I signed up. No one showed up for the first service. When I called to check on it, I was told there was a problem and they would get a technician to me the same week. I get a phone call from a local Pest Control company that you had contacted him to do the work. This was very upsetting to me since no one told me about this and I was not happy with my name and phone number being given out without my permission. At that time I had asked that you cancel my service and refund my money before the 1st service. I was told I would have to pay a penalty which is the opposite of what your salesperson told me. Your company did nothing so I decided I would keep the service for the year and then cancel. I sent an email on Sunday to you concerning this latest fiasco but no one has bothered to contact **** tried calling today and I get a message that my service has been discontinued which was news to me. It is fine with me. I not only want you to reverse the 2 - $299 charges made to my account on 6/30/23 and a full refund of the $499 paid you on 2/10/23 since I have no service according to your company ******************* ************Initial Complaint

I was originally given a quote for $1 for the initial visit plus $70 for each month I needed the service. I made an appointment for 6/9/23 but had to cancel it because we weren't going to be home at that time. I tried to call back to get a new appointment several times but never got a return call. They still charged me $199 on 6/21/23 for a service I never received. I tried calling back several times but I can only talk to the subcontracted customer service company. We paid them 639 dollars on March 1,2023 for a year plan to come out once a month and they have only been here once. I have tried calling them constantly to come out and when I got off the phone with them on March 20th they said they would come but they never did. Then I checked my account and noticed they had charged me 199 dollars and and took it out of my account without my authorization.They tried again but I stopped it before it went through this morning.
