This claim was finally honored. However the experience was a gross waste of ******************** in attempts by agents to deny this simple fix under warranty. It was a claim on an electric recliner that had a broken operational remote. First I was told that the chair had to be located at the same address that was my residence at the time of sale. Then it would be 12 weeks before a technician could come out & inspect the problem when the chair was stuck in an ejection position. Once we took the remote apart we could operate the chair but the technician came out anyway even though we sent multiple videos of exactly what the problem was & stating that all we needed was the remote which could be unplugged & replaced with a working one. The technician came drove 40 miles to take a few photos. Thats all he did, we received a replacement remote the next day. It all took about a month. It could have been solved with a simple phone call & maybe some paperwork. The replacement remote surely would cost less than the $150 warranty. But finding a replacement is the issue.

Dear Ms. *********************** records show that your claim was filed June 27, 2025,for electrical shorts on a recliner. We processed a replacement authorization for the part needed to repair your recliner. The authorization was sent to the manufacturer of the part to ship the parts to you directly. On July 3, ************************************************************************ an open position and that a technician needed to be dispatched to lower the ************ also advised our *************************** that you have gifted the recliner to a friend, and it is no longer in your possession. The team member advised you that the Coverage on the Protection Plan is not transferable and only the original purchaser is eligible for service. You advised our team member that you will take the recliner back and have it at your residence. A service technician was dispatched. The service technician was able to lower the recliner and recommended the replacement of a remote which we have authorized for a replacement.

I bought a couch from living spaces and added the care free protection plan because the couch was over 3k and I wanted a little peace of mind. Well not even a year later and the couch was failing miserably, a complete waste of money. The cushions lost its resilience (covered by warranty) we actually sit on the floor in front of the couch because it sinks so bad! My kids accidentally tore a pice of the fabric (also covered by warranty). Yet when I made these claims they all got denied.. Theres absolutely no customer service and its really just a headache to deal with. Very sad I have to waste more of my time to deal with suing this awful company.

Dear Mr. ************** have reviewed the information you provided and the claim records. Our records show that your claim was filed for beverage stains all over the sofa from everyday use. The Protection Plan you purchased covers all accidental stains attributed to a single incident and excludes accumulated stains. Since the stains reported are not the result of a single occurrence, the claim is not eligible for service. We encourage you to review the terms and conditions of your Plan for specific coverage and exclusion information. As such we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we will be unable to take any further actions.

Worst Service. This company is a total ****. If I could give Uniters North America, LLC zero stars. Dont buy any furniture from Modani Furniture because they use this company. We purchased Leather Reclining Lovesets in Jan 2024 from Modani Furniture. We took and paid for 5 year Uniters plan for $569. We had an issue withLoveseat - Dual Recliner, Doesn't recline. We created a claim(:********) with Uniters, but they responded with the below message. Issue: Loveseat - Dual Recliner.Doesn't recline, Console, Leather Claim:******** Claim Created:04/28/2025 ** Based on the information provided, it appears the issue was not reported within the required time frame. Your protection plan requires each occurrence of staining or damage be reported within the timeframe specified in the terms and conditions of the plan. As a result, your claim is ineligible for service. Thank you ** Denied our claim saying issue was not reported within the required time frame, customer can report at any time, what makes teh difference? I have the terms and conditions page from Modani furniture at the time of purchase, I did not see anywhere saying customer should report within the time frame. I am very helpless right now and dont even know how to get it fixed. Both furniture company and Uniters are scam. We are really looking for someone to help me with this. We spent $8485 for the Recliner Sofas including warranty and now I am left with not reclining properly.

Thank you for the information provided and for sharing your experience with us. Our records show that your claim was filed April 28, 2025 for recliner issues on the loveseat. At the time of submitting the claim, you indicated that the damages were discovered more than 60 days prior to filing the claim. The Protection Plan you purchased dictates that a claim must be filed within 30 days of discovery. Timeframes are stated in our protection plans to preserve our right to have a fair chance at correcting damages before they develop into larger, irreparable damages. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your claim was adjudicated based on the terms and conditions of the Plan and the information you provided therefore we will be unable to take any actions on your claim.

A total scam, they came out after I submitted a claim. The technician stated that there is ALSO normal accumulated wear and tear. I specifically stated I called for the recent stains on three cushion from pets but was told since there are other stains older they cannot clean it. When on earth have you seen a couch in mint condition after a few years! If I paid to have RECENT within 30 day stains removed per contract, then that is what is expected. I did not ask for the old accumulated stains to be cleaned. Total rip off! If I could leave zero stars I would. Also the customer service lady refused to provide corporate phone number or info, stated they were in ******.

    To whom it may concern,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the feedback provided. Our records show that the claim in question was filed for pet bodily fluids on the corner portion of the sectional. A service technician was dispatched to your home to clean the reported stains. Upon inspecting the sectional, the technician reported that there is an accumulation of pet urine, dye transfer and pet scratches all over the entire sectional. The Protection Plan purchased covers accidental stains from a single occurrence, and it excludes accumulation of stains and damages. While we understand your request to only clean the recent stains, we are unable to take any action as the accumulation of stains is excluded from coverage. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We purchased our sectional sofa less in 2022. The cost over $4,000. Purchased the Pure Promise warranty and were told it covered everything on the furniture. Since than we have filed several claims with uniters warranty, damage (frame), a broken bolt leaving the sofa vulnerable and last one was reclining mechanism failure causing the right piece to slant. Each one denied with excuses that were ridiculous. First they stated the last claim was denied because we said it was an accident instead of mechanical failure due to residential use, then when we filed a dispute they said it was denied because of stains and poor maintenance. This had nothing to due with our claim it was mechanism lift and structural failure. I will be moving forward to find some resolution. This has taken up so much of my time. This is what they replied with: Dear ****** *******,We received your letter of dispute and have taken the opportunity to review your claim and the supporting documentation. Based on the information provided in the claim the furniture has an accumulation of damages. Per the terms and conditions of the warranty, this Plan is not a maintenance or cleaning contract. You must perform maintenance, minor adjustments and periodic inspections as explained in the product manufacturers owners manual. Should your covered product become stained or damaged, you are to take the necessary steps to protect your product against any further stains or damage. An accumulation of damages is not covered. Please refer to your warranty certificate for specific coverage and exclusions information.Regards, Claim *******************

Dear Ms. ******************** you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Our records show that the original claim was filed for loss if resiliency on the sectional. This claim was adjudicated as not covered based on the information you provided, and the terms and conditions of the Protection Plan due to loss of foam resiliency is not covered. Our records show that a subsequent claim was filed March 7, 2025, for damage reported as frame damage. The records show that a service technician has been assigned to inspect and repair the frame. Once we receive the technicians report, your claim will be further reviewed and adjudicated based on the technicians report and the terms and conditions of your Plan.

Complaint Against Uniters Denied Warranty Claim for Structural Defect I purchased a couch from Value City Furniture in ******** ****, expecting durability and quality. I also purchased an extra warranty through Value City. Unfortunately, I am deeply disappointed with both the product and the company's refusal to honor its warranty commitment. The couch has suffered a structural failurethe spring system has collapsed, causing excessive sinking and making it unusable. According to Section 5 of the warranty, structural and component failures due to defects in materials and workmanship are covered. This failure is not normal wear and tear; rather, it is a sudden and significant defect that should not occur within a reasonable lifespan of the product.Despite providing evidence that this issue falls within warranty coverage, my claim was wrongfully denied. A well-made couch should last 715 years, yet mine has failed prematurely in under 4 years, falling far short of even the low end of that range.I am requesting that Uniters honor their warranty, reassess my claim, and provide a resolution, whether that be a repair, replacement, or refund. I expect a company of this stature to stand behind its products and treat customers fairly.I urge others to carefully consider this experience before purchasing an extended warranty, as their warranty coverage appears unreliable when truly needed.

Dear Mr. ********************** you for contacting us and for the information you have provided. We have reviewed the feedback received and our internal files. Our records show that your claim was filed for frame damage on the sofa and wedge portions of the sectional. A professional service technician was dispatched to your home to repair both portions of the sectional. The Protection Plan you purchased covers certain structural failures to your furniture as outlined in the terms and conditions of your Plan. We understand your frustration with the quality of your furniture but please be advised that we are not the manufacturer of the furniture and are not liable for the quality of the products. I purchased top grain leather sectional sofa from ********************** store in ****** in 2022. It has not even been 3 years and sofa has peeled and crack. We purchased warranty with ****** and now finding out that Uniters is not even affiliated with ****** and dont talk to each other. We purchased warranty since the **** was very expensive which cost us close to 9000 dollars. We recently filed claim with uniters and they declined the claim twice. We dont have pets or very young children and have taken good care of the sofa. Uniters had very rude staff who said he they will not cover and asked me to call ******. When I called ******, store lady said to call Uniters and they dont talk to each other. I am very helpless right now and dont even know how to get it fixed. Both ****** and Uniters are scam. And am really looking for someone to help me with this. I spent 9500 for this sectional including warranty and now I am left with peeling and staining sofa.

This company is not ethical. They have denied my claim on two different sofas. Trying to get a hold of them is a nightmare. Calling...plan to stay on hold. Logging in on their website? They can't find your purchase. Using the app? Same thing. They go out of their way to not cover what they supposedly warranty. Waste of time and money.
