    I purchased a kitchen table at ****** on 9/1/2020 . At this time I purchased the protection plan through Uniters. The cost of the plan was $298.In 2022, the finish on the dining room table was defective and peeling/chipping off all over the place. I filed a claim with Uniters on 3/28/2022, claim reference C2690698. The tech was assigned on 4/28/2022. They took some time to update the claim, but I was finally told that they didn't have the table in stock anymore to provide a replacement, and that I could either get a cash settlement or store credit for ****** in the amount I paid for the table. I told them I wanted the store credit. In 8/2022 I noticed that my claim was settled with a cash settlement (which I didn't ask for), which was so small I could not buy a new table with it. I never received this money, just was told that is how it was settled. I told them via the app that I would like a voucher for the store credit so I could just buy a new table. It is documented. They keep saying that I have to sign to accept the voucher, but I never received it and they closed the claim. They refuse to reopen the claim or allow me to open a new one, so I am out $298 and have to keep a tablecloth on the table, or pay to have the table refinished. I have made so many calls to Uniters and am convinced they are just a scam; they will do everything *not* to help you. They try to confuse you with their app and sending "contracts" or "sign offs" that you can never find.

    I have been dealing with the same claim since January of 2024 it is now April of 2024. We filed a claim for a broken footrest on a power reclining couch that we purchased at Living Spaces. After the initial filing we waited a couple weeks to get a response and nothing we went into the store and they sent an email and were able to get a technician out. He inspected the couch and said the motor was burnt out and he would order a new one. We waited until the end of March and no communication from the warranty service about a new motor. Turns out it couldnt be repaired so we were offered to either accept a payment of 375 dollars or store credit for the amount of the item. We chose store credit. Now we are waiting for over a week to get the funds approved so we can use them to get a new couch and we only have 30 days to use the credit or it is voided. I have contacted the company and receive no response. We always have to get a store manager from Living Spaces involved to even receive a response. We have been waiting for months with a broken couch. It seems they are just ignoring us to hope that we just give up so they dont have to honor the warranty. I am writing this to protect others from wasting money on this extra warranty. We paid hundreds of dollars for this protection and they are trying to scam us out of what we purchased.
