My mother is a disabled veteran who had to be relocated due to a medical emergency. Because of this, her possessions were placed in storage in *******. We live in ********** so, once she was settled, we started looking for a moving company that could charge the best price to move her belongings to **********. At first, we communicated solely with *******, who gave us a great discount, with an understanding of our situation. We did advise her of everything that was being moved, including 2 foot lockers and a bunch of old cat litter plastic tubs that my mom had packed her breakables in. Because of this, she just put these down as "medium" boxes and quotes us for 5 large boxes, 200 medium boxes and 15 small boxes, saying that it's essentially the best price she could do. It was under the cost provided by any other moving company and even under if we were to move it ourselves. 220 items ********** forward to about a month ago, when ******* was no longer available to assist us. We understood as we knew she had some personal issues and that she was a person, not robot. The new person, *****, inquired about the current status of the move. We scheduled pick up and my mom decided to fly out by herself to deal with the pick up, as she just wanted to be present for the pick up of her entire life's belongs. The mover, a very nice gentleman, arrives and says that he can't pick up all the items, because he's only picking up boxes, not 2 foot lockers or the cat litter tubs, even though they're included in the total count. She speaks with *****, and is informed that she will now have to pay double the pick up amount as a new order will be needed to include the items, or they will charge her $1000 to unload ************* elderly, disabled veteran mom who lives on SSI and a VA check called me crying as she was swindled into paying 2x the negotiate price. She cannot afford it and is now having to come up with additional amount or loss everything.Initial Complaint

I contracted with this business for a move from The villages to ************. I received a binding moving contract (*******) for a total amount of $2217. I reviewed the list of item to be moved with a representative prior to the move and the price was set. Another company showed up to do the actual move. Every item put in the truck was exactly what was listed on the contract. The moving company (Coast to ************) charged an additional $1400 and would not deliver the goods unless I paid the additional amount. Calls to We Move 4 You have been unanswered for 5 days. Messages have been left with them but no return calls have been received. It appears to me that We Move 4 You have intentionally gives low ball quotes in order to get businesses, resulting in customers paying higher rates and hen refuses to respond to their customers.Initial Complaint

The company is a scam. We were charged for items not moved by the company due to their truck breaking down. There is significant damage to both starting and ending locations. The young men they sent from 3 hours away were ill equipped to do the job.Initial Complaint

This moving company stated the movers were professionals. We asked numerous times about our Sleep Number bed due to the sensitivity of breaking it down and putting it back together. We were assured it was not going to be an issue. We were quoted a price on items that we listed and asked about a price change if we decided that we could do it ourselves. We were told by ****** that an adjustment would be given afterwards if the items decreased. Due to the truck breaking down on the day of arrival, we decided to move items ourselves but left a few due to size. On the day the truck was to arrive it was rescheduled 2 more times. Once it arrived that night we were faced with 3 young boys who knew nothing of a Sleep Number bed and wasnt in contact with the company. Due to time restrictions we had a few items moved that night. The distance traveled to the new residence was under 10 miles yet we were charged ******* for milage. The boys damaged walls in both the old and new residences. The mattress of the Sleep Number bed was only part of the bed that was taken because they had no idea how to take the bed apart. It was dirtied. I called to speak with ****** to only ask for a change to the billing of items actually moved and was put through to what I was told was ***************** I was told ** receive an email to help the adjustment process. I have not received an email nor will the company take my calls. I am asking to have the money refunded that I was overcharged. I believe this company to be a scam. Please help me in my pursuit to rectify this grossly overpriced transaction. We ended up paying over ******* for maybe 5 or 6 items and left with at least that much in damages.Initial Complaint

We contracted We Move 4 You to complete our cross-country move. As part of the process, we completed an initial online inventory of our items and a final inventory, which was done 48 hours prior to their scheduled arrival. Per the final inventory, despite having REMOVED two very large, bulky items, we were told we needed to put down an additional deposit, which we did. Even after the final inventory, we opted not to move even more items, hoping to further reduce the cost.We were provided a window of time during which the movers were to arrive. They were very late, which wouldn't have been a big deal except when they finally did get there it was 6:20 p.m. on Sunday night. Part of the contract requires contacting customer service before moving forward, but customer service was CLOSED. So, when they couldn't fit all of our items on the truck and they wanted to increase the amount even more, we were supposed to contact customer service, but because customer service was closed we couldn't.Additionally, despite having paid for "white glove service," the moving team was completely unprepared. They had blankets, boxes and tape. That was all. No packing paper to protect our breakables. No boxes for our large artwork, which I had requested. We paid to have our items professionally packed, yet there was nothing professional about any of their work or their *********** the time of loading, the team lead stated our items would remain on the truck they were loaded onto and would be delivered on January 2 or 3. Instead, I received a call and was accused of not having sufficient funds to cover the check I wrote, which was untrue as it had cleared that morning. When I told the representative that, he stated his bank placed a hold on the funds until Jan. 8 and they wouldn't deliver until it was released. I provided proof the funds were cleared, but to no avail.Since then, we haven't been able to reach anyone at either We Move 4 You or the subcontracted moving company.Initial Complaint

This is a fraudulent moving company. I scheduled a move from ******** to ******** with this company in December of 2024. Specifically with the employee named ***** ********. I was told and promised they use their own employees to move which is a lie. They are brokers, not actual movers, and their business practices are misleading and unethical. Initially, they present themselves as a moving company offering great prices, but once the actual movers arrive, it's a completely different company. The movers demanded payment in cash, *****, Cash App, or money order--none of which was mentioned in the contract or during any prior conversations. This unexpected requirement leaves you scrambling to meet their demands. Additionally, they deliberately underestimate the cubic footage of your belongings to offer a low initial estimate, only to inflate the final cost by three times once your items are loaded. One of the most infuriating aspects is their delivery policy. They can take up to 30 days to deliver your belongings, a detail they conveniently fail to disclose until after they have your possessions. Throughout the process, they continue to demand more money, essentially holding your items hostage until you pay. This company operates like a scam and should be thoroughly investigated by authorities.Initial Complaint

End of November 2024 I signed a contract for this company to move my belongings from ********* to ********. A couple days later I cancelled my move with this company. I was promised that I could cancel up to 72 hours before the move and collect my refund back. **** said on Monday Dec. 2 they would process my refund. To date I have not received a refund. **** keeps saying, the next day Ill see it. Then next week, then the holidays are busy, excuse after excuse as to why I havent seen it yet. Then I started digging deeper into this company. I found out this company has changed names a few times now, reviews for prior business names have been horrible. I believe this company is a scam and takes people money without refunding. **** has now stopped responding to me and I am still out $1264.Business Response

We Move 4 You was hired by myself to move personal household belongings from the listed address in ******** to an apartment in *************. When I initially booked them I had to pay a deposit of $523, I would then have to pay $351 when they showed up to load, and $351 upon delivery. The company that showed up to load my belongings was called Fairway Moving. I called the phone number from the contract that was emailed to me when I booked them with concerns about this and they stated ************** is their sister company. When they where loading my belongings I signed paperwork where they added additional charges from the arranged quote adding $161 to the delivery amount, I paid the loading fee of $351 when they had arrived, but now my deliver fee would be $512 for reasons they did not explain. The person filling out paperwork with me then SUGGESTED I put the delivery date of 11/30/2024 when I asked the question "When is the soonest it could be delivered?" When 11/30/2024 arrived I had called out of work to make sure I would be here when they arrived. Nobody showed the entire day and nobody from either company or any number and email I was able to find would answer. I called for 2 weeks and when someone did answer the phone she told me "I don't know what to tell you" and would hang up on me. Come Friday 12/20/2024 I get a call from the company stating they where going to deliver Sunday 12/22/2024. I stated I am scheduled to work that day and asked if Saturday or Monday would work. The company rudely stated that if I declined delivery they would put my stuff into storage and bill me for it. I accepted the date and had to call out of work for the 2nd time in fear of not getting my stuff delivered. Come Sunday I did not hear any word from anyone and nobody showed up to deliver anything. I am out 2 days of pay from work, everything I own from my household, and nobody will answer any phone calls or emails regarding my belongings.Business Response

This customer went into contract with We Move For You on November 14Th By signing a contract and being provided an estimate that was contingent based off of how much room they would occupy in the truck. (250 ft. was initially the space allocated for the shipment - This was based off of the inventory that the customer provided to the sales rep).
At pick up the customer had a few more articles which did occupy more space in the truck as the customer did understand their pricing was contingent based off of what they occupied in the truck.
The customer agreed upon the new revised price before any services were rendered and signed a new BOL on the move date.
Also during pick up the customer was asked what their first available delivery was. Also, the customer understood that the first available delivery date is not a guaranteed delivery date. It is the first acceptable date (the customer) could receive the shipment at the destination end.********************************, we have Up to 30 days to get the shipment delivered from The Customer's first available delivery date.

I am rejecting this response because: The customer WAS NOT made aware of ANYTHING, and that's the only part of the entire message you're going to address?? What about having me call out of work TWICE with promised delivery those dates and then nobody showed?? And the costumer service on the phone replying with "thats your problem". The communication, contract, and overall business from this company is a joke. I will continue to report and write as many reviews as possible about this company so hopefully nobody else has to deal with the disrespect, lack of communication, and property hostage that I had to.
Sincerely,

This company defrauded me. By the contract I signed with them on 11/5/24 I would have paid $5,368, but on 11/6/24 when they had all my goods out in the parking lot on ready to be loaded on the truck the trucker claimed I was over my ********************************************* sign a new contract, which was actually with ************** for 2000 Cu Ft. Final cost was $10,348. When the goods were unloaded at the 1600 Cu Ft storage unit on the other end it was obvious I had nowhere near 1500 Cu Ft. I did a detailed inventory and found I only had 281 Cu Ft. I requested a copy of the final contract I had signed from We Move 4 You (this took 2 calls) and found that it was actually with **************. The copy they provided me is such poor quality that I can't read the fine print. I called We Move 4 You to complain and they said they would provide documents for me to fill out to file a complaint, but they never sent the forms. The next time I called they hung up on me.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Their claim of no affiliation with ************** is a joke. How would Star know to show up when my contract was with We Move 4 You? When I called the number for Star Van Lines, they even use the same music on hold as We Move 4 You. We Move 4 You is not authorized by the ***** to move or arrange for the move of household goods. They needed that authorization because this move crossed state lines. They knew all along that ************** would ask me to sign another contract, so they could **** ignorance. This is a simple case of fraud. ************** will no doubt just disappear soon and they will set up another LLC to take its place.

I am rejecting this response because: As shown on the uploaded contract, I paid a deposit of $2742.50 to We Move 4 You for moving household goods. As shown on the ***** website document, We Move 4 You was not authorized to move household goods or arrange for the move of household goods. Therefore they were accepting a deposit for a deposit for services they were not authorized to provide. Also, If We Move 4 You did not send Star Van Lines to pick up the Household Goods, then they did not fulfill the contract because they sent no one to pick up the load. They owe me at least $2742.50 since they received that money from me and claim to have not sent ********************* No other mover showed up on 11/6/24 or 11/7/24.
Sincerely,
