I was double charged for Weiss crypto investor on December 6 ****. I have called about this 5 times and emailed twice about it. The double charge has not been refunded as promised. I am so disappointed that this business has not cared enough to resolve this in a timely manner. To be clear, I like the newsletter. I just don't want to pay for it twice. In September of 2023 I paid for one initial membership with Weiss and then was prompted to make a second $2400 payment shortly after. When I agreed to the membership, the refund policy stated that as long as it was done in the first year of the membership, I could cancel at any time and get a full refund. I have been trying to cancel my membership and get a refund lately, but every time I call I am told that I cannot do that and no refund will be given, and I need to reference the refund policy. But on the WeissRatings website, as well as in the terms and conditions, it clearly states I should be able to get all my money back if I ask for that within the first year, and it is.Business Response

After reviewing the information as well as your account I would like to provide some additional information regarding the complaint made here. Upon further review I see that there were 2 subscriptions purchased, a one year subscription for Safe Money Report for $68 for the one year, and a one year subscription to Weekend Windfalls for $2,450 which is a premium service that provides only a prorated credit to be used on another service in the event of cancellation as stated in the terms and conditions, which I have attached for your review.
I also reviewed the jpeg image that you attached as evidence and it shows that the terms and conditions you posted were for another service called the Weiss Crypto Investor which is a very different service than the one you purchased, and is roughly $59 for the one year subscription, as you can see in the attached order form and agreement for Weekend Windfalls.When reaching out for the cancellation you were informed of the terms and conditions and the service was cancelled with the prorated credit being left on the account for future use, however it was noted in October that a dispute was made on the initial purchase for your Weekend Windfalls subscription, which does not allow us to make any further changes until it is resolved which can take up to 90 days. I am sorry that the outcome was not a desired one, however we ensure that our terms and conditions are an option that must be reviewed and selected prior to any order being processed so that there is as much transparency as possible.

Regarding DeFi Masterclass 2023:I purchased this for $795 on 12/22/22. Recently Weiss Ratings offered it for $297. I applaud Weiss Ratings for making it more affordable, but I feel that they should refund the difference in price from what I paid for the exact same service.They promised quarterly bonus workshops. So far over 10 months I have received one: 6/29/23. There may have been a workshop on 9/28/23, but no recording is displaying in my account, and I didnt receive notice about the event.Five times Ive asked for the refund in difference in price (over the last 16 days), without receiving an answer.Communications By phone: 9/28/23: spoke with *****, who said he would check. When it comes to our 2023 DeFi Masterclass there is a current offer for $297, however I would like to point out the differences between the offer you have enrolled in, as well as the offer for the $297 price point. The offer you original signed up for is for permanent access for the life of the course, which was $795, this means that year after year as long as the course is available you will have continued access without paying anything additional. The offer for the $297 is an annual fee which is charged on an automatic renewal basis annually, so each year you would pay $297 to maintain access to the service. Us downgrading you into the one year would cause your access to the course to expire at the end of December and in turn put you on a $297 yearly plan. I have added the terms and conditions portion of each offer for clarification, If you would like to have that modified to the yearly access, please let me know.Best Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, I DO appreciate the clarification about having received lifetime access, which was not made clear upon my initial purchase.
However, the fact remains that quarterly workshop bonuses were promised, and I've only received one in the span of 10 months.
Also, I've had to make six communication attempts to get this answer, and it was only when I filed a complaint with the BBB that I received an answer to this question. **** answered another question but never got back to me on this, and neither did *****. That was quite a bit of my time invested. Perhaps I will accept this resolution, but I will leave my negative reviews online because of the poor customer service.

I apologize that your experience has been less than stellar. When it comes to our member care, we try to avoid duplication so that our members are not receiving multiple communications from different reps. ***** **** has been the main rep responding to your inquiries, he has been the responder to maintain uniform. Within Weiss Ratings we aim to keep our responses times within 2 business days, admittedly we missed the **** with your first email, receiving a response in 4 business days, the remaining communication has fallen within our window of support being provided for access and clarification with your last email on the 9th after hours being sent in on the difference for the 2 price points, which thankfully has been addressed here for the price differences and offers. Reviews and BBB Complaints are handled by a different department so they have a different structure in timed responses.
In regards to the power workshops, it is true that it was added as an additional bonus for quarterly workshops, they officially began in 2nd Quarter of the 2023, and we so far have had 2 to date. A June workshop and a September workshop that just passed on the 28th, the replay is currently in process of being uploaded to the site, with the next one planned for Q4, access and availability to the quarterly workshops will continue until the 4 bonuses are fulfilled as promised in our offer.
I also see that you posted an additional review on Trustpilot, for added areas. As a courtesy due to your experience, I'd be happy to provide a full refund of the Defi Masterclass, and the annual maintenance fee for your Safe Money Report membership if you wish to cancel the services you currently have based on this experience, as well as the email address on file has been updated to ensure that the only emails received are those matched to your paid services.

Transaction occured on 5-22-2023 @ about 11:00 AM the representative asked for my name and account number which I do not have an account number. He then told me that he does not see an account for me. I only have access to a login page and user ID which is ************** and a password. Dr ********************** on a website sales proposed that the service for Weekend Windfall was what I needed and he described the service in a lengthly amount of time. At the end I saw that he offered a full refund if canceled in first year I do have a email that attest to this refund policy. But now that I have tried out their service I see that it is not what I was told it would be... and was not what I expected from them. Now that I see this I am trying to request a full refund of my funds for service a) subscription $1900.00 USD and b) lifetime membership $1900.00 USD c) total refund expedcted $3800.00 either from them or Dr. ********************** as he was one that convinced me it was what I was looking for and driver to get me to sign up.Business Response

Good Morning ******, When reviewing the account I see that you originally opted in for ongoing unlimited access to our Weekend ***************** for $3800 on March 22, 2023. The offer for this level included the ability to downgrade your Weekend Windfalls subscription to an annual level and receive a refund for the upgrade fee in the amount of $1900. This was successfully downgraded and a refund of the upgrade was processed back to you July, 2023. The remaining unused credit of $876.11 was placed on the account and has been available for future use as per the terms and conditions of the offer. The company via its advertising partners started to send me unauthorited promotional e-mails on April 24th, 2023.Both the aforementioned parties were served with a cease and desist notice the same day, per both ******** and ** Anti-spam laws.Despite being served with a cease and desist notice that was effective immediately, the company via its advertising partners violated said notice on April 25th, and 30th, and today May 5th, 2023.The company did attempt to contest this notice on May 1st, I did respond. When reviewing the account, this member has been fully removed from our marketing emails as of April 25th, and was added to a suppression list on May 3rd for affiliate partners and that *** day a few days for the lists to be fully updated. Partners are required to follow the suppression list, and have advised the member to let ** know if there are any other emails that are being sent to him regarding an affiliate offer of ours, so that we can keep track of those who *** be violating our suppression files. On April 7, 2023, I purchased the following:Safe Money Report for $98.00. The charge posted to my **************** card on April 7, 2023 Weekend Winfalls Masterclass for $297.00. The charge was posted to my **************** card on April 10, 2023.On May 2, 2023, I contacted this company through e-mail, requesting a refund of both charges. On May 3, 2023, this company informed me that they can refund the $98.00. But the charge of $297.00 can not be refunded. They said that the $297.00 charge can be refunded as a credit with this company that can be applied to their other services but can not be refunded back to me. I NEVER used ANY of their services. I understood that both of these charges can be refunded back to me in one year if I change my mind. And this is a few weeks later without EVER using ANY of their services. If I had known that they would give me a credit with their company and not a refund, I would have NEVER made this purchase because I know nothing about this company and never used any of their services. In reviewing the offer that was applied and signed up for I see that this offer did provide a 90 day refund window. When it comes to our Weekend Windfalls Masterclass that service most times only provides a credit in the event of cancellation, and not a cash refund. I apologize for the added frustration and have processed a refund for the $297 which will go back to the same card used at purchase. We have also updated our team for this offer to avoid this happening in the future.

This is not my first issue with Weiss since they either did some reorganization in the company or just redid their website. I spent over 4 months about a year ago asking questions about why I can no longer pull my receipts from their website. Our company likes to have backup for our expense reports. After dozens of call and emails, to which they refused to accept that I even had an account (which I have been paying for monthly for many years) I was finally able to have them realize I do have an account. Nonetheless, after months of back and forth, I could never get a straight answer as to 1) why I can not get receipts or 2) when that feature would be available again. I had to give up and just tell our accounting department that I am unable to get monthly receipts.Now, I need to update the credit card I have on file with them. I have been at this for almost three weeks with no luck. I send messages through their "contact us" link on their website and just get a generic email response that someone will be in touch. Then I will get another email saying they are happy to help me, I just need to call the number in the email. I have called that number about 10 times, left multiple messages and now cannot even leave messages, I just get transferred to their "overflow line" where they cannot help at all. They take a message and pass it along....which obviously is worthless.I cannot believe this organization can treat customers this way. We are very busy and I cannot keep reaching out just to update my credit card as they are no longer allowed to use my old card since we switched corporate cards! PLEASE HELP!!Business Response

I started the Undiscovered Crypto portfolio on March 2021. The marketing emails promised a return of 10 times. Currently, the portfolio performance is in hefty losses (Not revealing real coin names). Coin 1 is 18% loss, coin 2 is 48% loss, coin 3 is 85% loss, coin 4 is 82% loss, coin 5 is 95% loss, coin 6 is 97% loss, coin 7 is 99% loss, ****** is 89% loss and coin 10 is 79% loss. If you were to invest $100000 expecting a million, the total loss would be $66,000. I understood the risk. Weiss did a one-time extension, as promised, until March 2023. But as the crypto market is bad, I am still sitting on a 66% loss. I requested them to extend free renewal one more time, hoping the crypto market would recover. But they refused it. I requested them to provide updates on the existing recommendations until the positions are closed. Weiss customer support refused to provide any updates to current recommendations beyond the expiry of the undiscovered crypto subscription. Weiss needs to keep its promise of providing updates until the positions are closed.I request Weiss to extend the Undiscovered crypto subscription by one more year or at least provide updates on the existing coins on my portfolio until the position is closed. I hope this will help me recover my losses as the crypto market is improving.Business Response

On September 29 of 2022 I received information about he Weiss Group. They stated how there expert was able to predict when the crypto market was going to reach the bottom of the market. They gave all kinds of information that was predicted in 2008 and how much money was made. I received one email to buy Polygon which promptly went down 20%.. I paid $2500 for a one year service. No indication about the crypto reaching the bottom. I contacted the company 11-21-22 To compline and ask for a refund. They said no can do. they would cancel my subscription but hold the value, in case I was crazy enough to use their service again. I feel they are manipulators.Business Response

Hello, When reviewing this account for ****************, I see that the member signed up for Weiss Crypto Portfolio back on 9/28/2022, in which the promotion was for one year of service for $2,500.00. The terms and conditions were reviewed and agreed upon in order to sign up for the service, outlined below. Members are unable to move forward with any online purchase without reviewing and agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined for the promotion. I have also attached the copy directly from the promotion that was signed up under.
" I agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. I understand that today I am paying the price above for a subscription to Weiss Crypto Portfolio. If I cancel, Ill receive a credit for the unused balance of my subscription, which I can use toward the purchase or renewal of any other Weiss Ratings product at any time. When my subscription is up for renewal, Ill be notified ahead of time, given the opportunity to cancel and if I dont respond, I will be charged $2,500 for the following year."When the member requested the cancellation, a prorated credit of $2,152.05 was placed on the account for future use based on the terms signed up for.
