1 starI had an unsatisfactory experience and wish to express my dissatisfaction with Optimum RV of Ocala FL. On 11/22, I purchased a new 2023 Puma Destination trailer. Upon my inspection of the trailer I came across numerous issues that I was promised would be repaired. While there, they fixed two issues and stated they would have to order additional parts. ( kitchen countertop,
kitchen table, trailer graphics, etc. ). To me, this was understandable that they do not stock the parts. I requested they call me when the trailer was ready, only to be told that I HAD to take the trailer home with me that day because I signed the paperwork. I explained that there was no way I could bring the camper back to Optimum because it was going to be permanently placed on my property. I was guaranteed by more than one employee this would be no problem that when all the parts came in they would send out technicians to my property to solve all issues. Lo and behold I was told months later by a representative of Optimum RV that they no longer do road service. I requested that they ship me the parts and I will pay someone to do the work. Optimum stated it would take some time to get the parts and they stand behind their Customer Service. Well, a yeas later and NOTHING.Optimum RV

5 starsWe had a wonderful experience with a sales rep, Kimberly *****. She listened to everyone of my likes and dislikes. I asked to view several different toy haulers and she showed them all to us but she thought there was one I would like from all the information I gave her and she was dead on. She picked the perfect one for us. She was amazing. We bought the toy hauler she picked and it checked off everything I wanted and then some. She really listened and heard us. She is a keeper and I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for an RV.Optimum RV

1 starSo I’ve been posting a lot of stuff about my travel trailer. But not really giving the name of the dealership.. ? well after fighting them, and fighting them and fighting them, and nothing being done. I’m gonna tell you the name so you don’t go there. And I’m going to tell you the travel trailer name because the company does not care about the customers.. I got my travel, trailer, from Optimum Rv In Ocalla. In December of last year. Me and my mom did inspection with the inspector at the dealership. and everything looked good with my Cherokee wolf travel trailer by forest river. So the day that they were supposed to deliver to me. They said they would call me and tell me what time they would get to where in?had it park. It was getting later on during the day and no call. I called them and asked them where it was. The grey tank leaking so we just said bring it down. I needed a place to live. Because they said the part will take a while. So they brought it down. When they got the part, they brought it back up to be fixed. Then they brought it back to me with underbelly showing like this. I called them to ask them if they can fix it they said, tape it. And I thought them and I said no so they had a third-party mechanic come out and look at it and they said it needs a whole new underbelly. But they still won’t fix it. ? talk to the dealership and told them to tape it. Found out the dealership manager was a basically used car sales man and he knew that he was selling faulty, travel, trailers. And one there employees called me a ***** by text message. I hope everyone will read this. And I learned that the best way to find out about getting a rv. Is these amazing groups but I didn’t know that until after I bought itOptimum RV

Hans,
Thank
you for your feedback. We do not have control over the banks that we partner
with. We have to pull your credit to initiate the process with the banks and in
some cases the bank will also have to pull your credit to finalize the loan on
their end. In your case we attempted to get you approved on 3 different RV's
and we used 3 different lenders. Our Customer Service Manager did explain how
you can dispute the credit inquires directly with the credit bureaus. In
most situations as long as you do not exceed 5 credit inquires and you purchase
within 30 days, the credit inquiries are viewed as one by the credit bureaus. The
credit bureaus understand that consumers need to shop around before they can
make a purchase.
If
you have any question or concerns, please contact our Customer Service Manager
and she will be happy to assist you.
Thank
you,

1 starI purchased a used motorhome from Optimum RV in May of 2022. It was in really good shape but had many small issues that I had to keep calling and pestering them to fix. The motorhome kept going back and forth into their garage for repairs. I did get to use it for three weekends before the engine blew.
Ricky Howard the manager assured me they would help with the labor costs since I had such a hard time with them and getting the motorhome to be used safely.
It took a year to get the motor up and running due to parts being unavailable. I kept Ricky posted every step of the way on the progress. Ricky never stated an amount nor did I have anything in writing, only some text messages, and his word that we shook hands on.
When the time came and I asked Ricky to help out he was either conveniently fired or quit, no explanation and Tiffany didn't know why, only that she would hire him back if she could.
I then contacted Tiffany Anders who said she would discuss it with her higher-ups. Denver Beck one of the higher ups said "I’ve read your complaint and I’m sorry to hear of your troubles. I will review it tomorrow and find a resolution within a day or two. Thanks for emailing me".
She was to get back to me on a Tuesday. Well on Wednesday her answer was "Since I didn't have an exact money figure they couldn't help me".
I've put all my money into this motorhome and made all the payments to use it three times, canceling trips for the summer with my family.
The motorhome is ready to be picked up but I am short on the money.
Please don't believe anything these people tell you unless you get it in writing.
Before I purchased the motorhome the salesman man Jahlil Evans who verbally promised me that the motorhome would be as good as new when I picked it up, was also conveniently let go.
Beware of them and get everything in writing or it will come back to bite you.
Very dishonest people. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale.Optimum RV

Ms. *******,
Thank you for your
review. Our records indicate that you purchased a 2006 Fourwinds on May 16,
2022. We are not sure when you first experienced issues with the engine because
we have no records of the failure but at the time of purchase, we did offer you
warranty coverage that you denied. That coverage would have protected you in
the event something like this happens. We sold you this unit AS-IS with no
warranty or guarantee from the dealership. At the time of purchase the 2006
Fourwinds was 16 years old. However, the 2006 Fourwinds had no signs of engine
failure at the time of your purchase. You did speak with our Customer Service
Manager, Tiffany, who asked for documentation from Ricky since he is no longer
with our company. She requested the
documentation because we stand behind our word and would have honored anything
that Ricky previously promised. You did share previous text messages but
nothing regarding engine failure. You stated that the agreement was verbal and
that he agreed to cover labor cost. The text messages were all regarding missed
phone calls or scheduling of future phone calls, nothing more. Our senior
management team did investigate this matter and exhausted all options for
assistance with the engine failure. We always look for ways to assist our
customers and offer protection plans at the time of purchase to prevent major
expenses later. We know firsthand how expensive RV repairs can be. According to
the estimate that you sent us from ******** ********** * ***** ****** ***, the repair was completed on September 19, 2023, that is 1 year and 5 months after
the date of purchase. We understand that this is a major financial burden on you,
but we cannot be placed at fault as the RV was purchased AS-IS, more than 1 year ago. If someone from
Optimum RV promised you compensation or financial assistance, we would have
gladly honored that promise, however we did need proof of the promise.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know.
We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,
Optimum RV ManagementSusan L.

engine blew 2 months after purchase and tricky at the time stated quite clearly that optimum would help with the labor. doesn't matter how long it took to fix it, I didn't have the money at the time.
Optimum didn't stand behind their word, and I will never do business with any Optimum dealership again. Thanks for nothingSusan L.
Date: 10/14/2023
Your response is untrue. I notified Ricky as soon as the engine went, and after all the issues with the motorhome going back and forth for the "we owe" list, Ricky stated Optimum would help with the labor costs. Ricky texted me after leaving Optimum and stated he gave you all the information. You didn't stand by what I was told.Optimum RV
Date: 10/19/2023
Our response stated that we had no previous
record of the failed engine, which is true. Unfortunately, Ricky is no longer
with our company and the repair was never agreed to be completed by us, so we
do not have any documentation or records of the failed engine. Our leadership
team was more than happy to honor any previous promises however, we did need
documentation to support your claims. That is fair considering you were seeking
several thousand dollars. You could not produce any supporting documentation from
Ricky, so we had to make a decision based off of the details and facts that
were presented to us by you and those were that you purchased a pre-owned 2006
motorhome over 1 year ago with no manufacturer warranty or dealership
guarantee, you declined the extended warranty coverage at the time of purchase,
and although the engine failed 2 months after purchase the unit was recently
repaired. To our knowledge Ricky has not been in contact with anyone at Optimum
RV regarding your matter. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and
frustration that you have experienced with your RV purchase but given the facts
that the engine failed 2 months after you took delivery, says that the unit was
in working order at the time of purchase. Again, we understand that this repair
is a major financial burden, but we cannot be held responsible for the cost or portion of the cost. We partner with industry leading warranty
companies, to ensure that our customers are prepared for unexpected failures
and major expenses later especially when something is sold with no guarantee.

5 starsTiffany ****** is the Director of customer experience. She was the saving grace through our, year and a half, bumpy road of our purchase. We ended up trading in our original RV purchase for another in Ocala, FL. The eight hour drive was well worth it for the customer service we received. They were very organized and professional. They gave us a tour of our new purchase, a test drive, and a check off list to make sure everything was covered. Mike Aldana went above and beyond with getting quotes for cheaper insurance. Robin had the arm fixed on our awning before we left Ocala the next day.
If not for Tiffany, we would not be the “happy campers” we are today. She went through many hoops to make the end result a positive one. We do not know what we would have done without her. Her ethics are second to none and we are so grateful for her grace and kindness.Optimum RV

1 starI put money down for a specific RV model at ******** ****** (greater St. Louis) location (now Optimum RV) in mid June 2023, which they didn't have in stock, and was told there was one remaining on the mfgr lot that I could get with a $1000 down payment. So I put the money down, and 3 weeks later found out that the dealership had been sold from ****** RV out of Utah to Optimum RV out of Florida. I was told this would not impact my sale/order, but a month after that I was still getting the runaround and one of the sales managers at the Optimum FL office was trying to sell me a different model/RV I didn't want. When I finally figured out from my original salesperson in Missouri that they couldn't get the original unit I was promised due to licensing transfer issues and a rep that had since sold it to a different dealership elsewhere in the country, I was promised my money back verbally by both the Festus salesperson as well as the Optimum FL office sales mgr. But a couple weeks later (now mid-August) I still hadn't received any word of the refund getting processed, and when I asked again, they told me they couldn't since it was originally paid to the ****** group and referred me back to ****** RV in Utah. ****** then bent over backwards at first indicating of course they would refund my payment, but never got back to me. Neither Optimum nor ****** ever refunded my money. Luckily, I used a credit card and my credit card company offers a dispute process to protect consumers from corrupt companies like these. I filed a dispute and finally got my credit card to refund my deposit, but never heard back ANYTHING from either ****** or Optimum. Meanwhile, one of these companies still has $1000 for a product they didn't deliver. Beware of this dealership and Optimum and ****** groups in general.Optimum RV

John,
Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that
you had an unfortunate situation happen with a dealership that is no longer in
business at a specific location that we now own. Although, this agreement had
nothing to do with Optimum RV we attempted to assist you with a resolution. We did
not receive any funding from your agreed upon deal nor did we make any promises
on a delivery of an RV. Legacy was responsible for the reimbursement or
delivery of the RV that you put a deposit on. We are happy to know that your credit
card company was able to resolve this matter in terms of refunding your
deposit. If you have any questions or concerns for Optimum RV, please let us
know.
Thank you,

The delivery was not made because the dealership was in the process of being bought by Optimum. That was never indicated to me when I paid the dealership. Regardless, everyone at Optimum understood my situation and I was informed I would get reimbursed by both the dealership as well as the main Optimum office in Florida, both of which fully understood my situation when I was told that. So sugar coat it all you want, I was still lied to, not given accurate information about what was going on, and you still made deceptive attempts to point me toward purchasing a different unit instead, with the $1000 I paid applying to it instead. So if you want to stick with 'the last story' you told me, fine, but that doesn't make up for all the lies and deceptive sales techniques you tried to pull on me along the way. The dealership you now own received $1000 from me that was never returned and didn't deliver what that was supposed to apply to....period.Review fromCurt W

I am very disappointed with this company from the financial man Steve to the general manager Joe. First they drawl up and have us sign all the contracts to own this RV then 3 days later they say we weren’t approved. They had no problem taking our closing cost fee’s of $2000 and more then 3 weeks I’m still trying to get my money back after being told 10 days. We thought from the way they stated it was ours we brought but it had some recalls be fixed, and cleaned. We were so excited and we’re told no sorry it fail though. Because Steve messed are financial paperwork up. We was planning to move in to that RV the next week. To lose the $2000 so I can’t even go to another place to purchase.
Don’t trust them make sure to carefully review the contract.
Once they canceled. We had the contract looked at that we did signed, we found out they raised the price on the rv to balance out our trade in then lowered the price back to the sale price with out our knowledge. I kept seeing something wrong but Steve kept saying it’s all fine.
Then they tried to put a lot of money on a credit card to balance out the loan.
Don’t trust them and if you do walk out with that contract and have it looked out carefully.Optimum RV
