Date of purchase 7/2/25 from Optimum RV *********** (around $24,000) brand new 2025 Forest Viking RV. Having major issues with the business in getting warranty claims fixed. I'm attaching a word document with the details and some pictures to explain the issues. Please let me know if you need anything else.

We sincerely apologize to Ms. ******* for the difficulties she has experienced with both warranty service and communication following her purchase. We take her concerns very seriously.

I am rejecting this response because: the matter has not been fully address or fixed. They have made promises that they cannot keep. I feel like their response to you was only to appease the compliant that has been submitted. They haven't even offered to do anything extra for their error, haven't gone out of their way to make this right, and really they do not care about their customers. There are still warranty items needing to be fixed along with a new warranty item, the sink cover, that has to be replaced due to their negligence in not fixing the leaking sink in a timely manner.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *******

      Business Response

      Date: 09/08/2025

We are writing in response to the recent rejection of our previous response regarding ******* McAlpins complaint.
From a corporate standpoint, we were made aware of this matter on September 8, 2025, and have since maintained direct communication with Ms. ******* regarding the status of her RV. She has confirmed via email that she received the reimbursement check for her tag/registration issue three weeks prior to submitting her BBB complaint, and that all non-warranty work on her RV has already been completed.
At this time, the only remaining items are those requiring manufacturer-supplied parts covered under warranty. We are actively monitoring and applying pressure where possible to expedite these parts; however, any remaining delays are outside of our control. We have pledged to keep Ms. ******* apprised as this part situation develops.
We sincerely regret that Ms. ******* has experienced frustration during this process. Please note that she has been actively assisted to the fullest extent of our capabilities, and we will continue to provide updates until all warranty repairs are completed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Complaint: 23851565

I am rejecting this response because: The reason I submitted the complaint wasn't just because of warranty parts or their failure to get our current tag associated with our new camper, the issue is deeper than that. This issue deals with the fact that Optimum RV has provided poor customer service, they have made promises that they could not meet, we have been lie to and have been belittled during this whole ordeal. Yesterday 2 warranty items were fixed, however the major one with the dinette was not, which was the one we were told would be fixed. We were told the tech may come out today to try and fix the dinette to make it usable until the correct parts come in but we haven't seen anyone yet - actually just received a text asking if he could come tomorrow or possibly Thursday because they are short staffed - I guess other customers take priority because they aren't complaining about work not being done? Not really sure how this works since our camper should have been fixed last week. We are being punished for something that is not our fault.

What is Optimum RV going to do to make this situation better?

      Sincerely,

      ******* *******

      Business Response

      Date: 09/11/2025

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to Ms. ******** concerns and sincerely regret the frustration she has felt throughout this process.
With respect to the tag and registration matter, Ms. ******* confirmed by email that she received reimbursement in the correct amount several weeks prior to submitting this complaint. A detailed explanation and bill of sale have been provided to her directly and are attached here for BBB review. This matter has been resolved in full and no balance remains outstanding.
On the service side, Ms. ******** warranty items were completed by our service department on 9/10/25. The manufacturer-supplied parts necessary to finalize the dinette concern were installed at that time, and our team confirmed with the ******* family in person that the outstanding work was completed.
From a corporate standpoint, we began formally monitoring this case on 9/8/25 and have maintained communication since that time to ensure her concerns were appropriately addressed.
Finally, while we are pleased the service work has been completed, we also recognize that this experience caused Ms. ******* significant stress. As a gesture of goodwill, Optimum RV is extending a $250 gift card to be used in our parts and accessories department.
At this point, all items raised in Ms. ******** complaint have been addressed and resolved. No further remedies remain outstanding, and this response represents the full resolution of the matter.

I purchased a travel trailer RV from ******** optimum RV in Florida. Upon inspection they found a blemish in the fireplace. Got it covered under warranty and asked me to drive all the way back to ******** to have it replaced. I then asked if they could ship it to one that was closer to me. The optimum RV in ********** **** Florida. They said that they could do this and I paid for the freight 3 weeks ago. And the ******************* location still has not received the fireplace. And told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks for them to receive it. A young lady by the name of ***** at the ******************* Florida location is the one who advised me of this. I'm trying hard to understand how it's going to take 4 to 6 weeks to get from ******** to ********** in the same exact state. I've been given the runaround by both of the locations and it has had terrible customer service with both locations. Sadly to say I will not be recommending or purchasing anything from them ever again.

We apologize for any confusion regarding your warranty fireplace replacement. We understand how frustrating communication delays can be. To clarify, your warranty replacement part was ordered on 8/18/2025, and our team advised you of the standard 46 week manufacturer shipping timeline. However, we are pleased to confirm that the fireplace has arrived sooner than expected.
You are currently scheduled for installation at our ********** location on 8/30/2025 between 10:00am and 3:00pm. We look forward to completing this service for you at that time.

Bought an RV on 5/24/2025 paid around $37,000. 2 months later had to put a warranty claim in. The warranty company needed additional information from the dealership. I called numerous times and so did the warranty company starting Aug 17 and before. The ** never sent in the paperwork to the correct email address that I gave. Never sent me the paperwork either. Called multiple times after and sent multiple emails and texts trying to get paperwork. I can not use the camper and get it winterized until the issues are fixed.

Wife and I were thinking of purchasing a used RV. We saw one on line at Optimum RV, and contacted them. They requested a deposit. I then sent them a certified check for $4,000.00. The financial manager sent us a contract to be signed and returned to him. Upon receiving the contract and reading it. I found discrepancies in the contract, My wife and I are retired so income is limited. I earn through social security $1,250.00 monthly, and my wife makes $900.00 monthly. Optimum had me earning $5,400.00 a month and my wife $2,900.00 a month. We decided not purchase the said vehicle due to fraud. I never signed the contract or took delivery. I informed the salesman of not taking it, and asked for my deposit returned. I still have the original contract showing the descrepencies in earnings and what was given in a deposit. A number of times I've text the CEO Denver **** and the finance officer to no reply. I'm 73 and my wife is 70. All I want is my deposit returned, and they don,t even give you a reason why they won't return it. They have my $4,000.00 and we got nothing but headaches. There's no reason not to return my deposit.

My husband and I were told we were approved for an Rv, we completed what we thought was final paperwork and were ask to put a down payment of $3000 down which we did 2800 in cash and the other on a credit card. We were told it was refundable if not approved, it was to show we were serious. Once approved we were scheduled to do a walk through and pick up our camper. We drove 5 hours did the walk through and was supposed to take the camper home, then they came back and told us we werent approved. The $200 was refunded to my card and they told me they would overnight a check the following Monday for the remaining $2800.00. I waited and nothing came. I called multiple times, my salesman wasnt available, finance was busy, and couldnt get anyone to hardly speak with me. I called back multiple times and finally spoke to the finance manager and he told me it was laying on the bosss desk to be signed and he would send it out in 2 days. It has now been what 2 weeks since the deal didnt go through and I am still waiting on my $2800 to be refunded to me. I have called multiple times to different departments and no one answers the phone. I finally got service on the line and they transferred me to Gm to get another voicemail. I was told they were they were an honest company however their actions dont seem to be very honest. All I want is my money ($2800) returned to me like they promised they would.

My husband and I purchased a trailer trailer, a 2019 forest river Cherokee grey wolf 24js, from optimum rv in ***** sc around Feb 2025. The camper was used but we paid an additional fee called a prep fee to make sure the camper was sealed and everything was working correctly. It took nearly two weeks to finish the deal. During that time, we signed papers for $16000 plus, including a $3500 down payment, for a camper who's listing price was around $10,000. We took the camper for a single day out to the beach and blew out two tires, couldn't use any of the appliances, and flooded the entire floor because a bathroom pex pipe was completely chewed through. The camper suffered water damage and we paid for new tires, a four hour drive turned into ten and it rendered our camping site stay useless. We complained, were reimbursed for the tires, and told to bring the camper to the service center. According to service, nothing had been done to the camper prior to delivery. Gas tanks were empty, black tanks were full, it needed seven pages of repairs. We took it out for the second time a week ago. Still can't use the appliances, and the ** that sales INSISTED was new is full of dust and grease. They said they had just replaced it and couldn't refund our prep fee because of it. At this point, we still haven't received our license plate and registration from ********************. Somehow, we leaked two tanks of propane attempting to use the stove (which is the only thing that uses propane currently in the camper). We have no idea why it cost $16,000 and at this time would rather have money back or a different unit. Money back being a full reimbursement and cancellation of the loan along with appeasements for the extra inconvenience, i.e. time lost, expenses paid.

I am rejecting this response because:

The response from Optimum RV is not correct and is not accepted.

I called Optimum RV on the morning of April 27th and spoke to an Optimum RV representative (*****). I told her our financial situation had changed, the unit was not a good fit for us, and I wanted to cancel the purchase.  We had been rushed through the paperwork on April 26th and the terms were not the same as we had discussed.  ***** stated that she understood and offered to tear up my check. For Optimum RV to say now that there was no record of the cancellation,is a total fabrication. They did not deposit my check, indicating they were canceling the sale.  I am sure ***** notified appropriate managers of my call to cancel. Why does the response say they were not notified?   I have never accepted delivery of the ** in question.  I assumed the deal was canceled.  I have acted in good faith at every step and Optimum pushed this unauthorized sale through, when they had no deposit or downpayment.   I acted in good faith by notifying Optimum RV that I wanted to cancel less than 24 hours after the purchase was made.   I later found out from the credit union, they had gone forward and submitted the loan to ******************** and had been funded.  I spoke to **** **** (Optimum RV Manager) on June 7 who said he would take care of the situation.  Now Optimum RV has made a big mess out of this.  They could have simply cancelled the sale as requested, and agreed to, by their own representative (*****).  This would have been simple.  By submitting the unauthorized loan, and completing the sale, they have not acted in the best interest of the customer but have demonstrated greed.  Also, Optimum does not have a deposit, down payment or any money to bind the contract.  There are many examples of unethical business practices by Optimum RV on the internet.  This is another example of greed by Optimum RV.  I have contacted the Office of the Florida Attorney General for assistance, and I have an appointment with an attorney.  I dont understand why a business would try to take advantage of 76-year-old resident of Florida, and a military veteran of 31 years of Naval service.

      Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

Optimum acknowledges that I expressed my desire to withdraw from the sale.  ***** is the one who told me she understood and agreed to tear up my check.  If she did that without proper authority, that is not my problem.  That is an internal management problem at Optimum RV.   ***** told me she was fine with the termination of the sale.  This was done promptly the morning of April 28, 2025 at 8:37 AM.  Optimum does not have any deposit or down payment for this sale. At no time did anyone at Optimum RV contact me to say that they intended to process the sale and submit the loan for funding over my objections.

I do not have any intention of taking possession of this RV or making any payments on the loan.  I have not acknowledged any full disclosure of the terms of the unauthorized loan made by ********************

I have retained an attorney to handle this dispute.  I find it interesting that Optimum RV is taking this position with a veteran and senior citizen.  I assume that Optimum Leadership is willing to add another unsatisfied customer to their already long list of unsatisfied customers which is very public on various parts of the internet.

How difficult would it have been to just cancel the sale when I requested when it was just paperwork.  I might have been a customer in the future.

This situation is a fine example of greed and unethical behavior of Optimum RV management.

On June 2, 0f 2025, I ***** **** ***** ***** gave Optimum RV dealership $1700 cash to start the process of looking for an RV. I decided I did not want to do further business with Optimum RV dealership due to them not answering the phones and no deals were signed because we wanted to go through a different company. I asked for my money back of $1700 cash, and they in return told me that it would have to be given back as a check and approx based on what the first ***** told us was 5 business days, and when we called again, we were told 10 business days to get our money back. Also I used my mother in laws name *** Linares ****** to co sign, and they are writing the check back to her name, when I ***** **** ***** ***** gave them CASH of $1700. Now they are not answering at all. So I called BBB over the phone, and was told to file a complaint.

My ** that I live had severe damage after a hurricane came through Florida last year. **** provided relief funds. I ended up at the optimum RV dealership in Bushnell Florida. They took me to look at several **s. All which had damage. After looking at them I told the woman I need something with four solid walls and a solid roof where the appliances and such in the ** work but I could deal with cosmetics... They tried to sell me the ** with a 2 inch Gap in the front door at the top and bottom where someone had pryed the door open. I had to convince them to fix this which was a large discussion over several days. When I got the ** to my parking spot and opened the slide I then noticed trim falling off that wasn't falling off before were part of the floor was rotten. I called and explained that this is my home not some fun toy. And that I needed to have it in working shape and that they did not disclose floor rot at the time of purchase. After again several days of discussion they agreed to fix the floor I asked for them to send pictures. I got one before they fixed the floor supposedly and no more. Claiming that they could not get the pictures to upload. Since then I started noticing all of the corners of my counters are swelling and splitting the decorative wood outside. I have not called to discuss this with them yet however I do believe before I purchased it it may have been flooded. these corners did not look swollen when I first purchased the ** so I can only figure that they had just got it on the lot not too long prior and that it had been flooded somehow. I bought this place as is but this issue was not disclosed ...I also just found a leak in an area I had questioned the inspection tech about and was assured there was no leak. I was assured that there was no leaks and the techs check over these things before hand.

I was also assured the techs checked out the roof for leaks because this was a big concern for me. I mentioned the need for a solid roof, walls and floor and was told all these were good... Then I found a puddle in my bed.decided to inspect the roof and the photos are what I found. There are phone recordings of conversations with the service department and a few supervisors were I stressed this need. Only to discover the damage in the photos .

The leak however is not in the same room that has the swelling. There is a water line in the swelling of the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen is swelling about 6in up... The leak I fixed.  The ** company called me one time about setting something up to have them looked at and I told her I was at work and couldn't talk please call later... She said they were going to look at the tops and then I said not tops the base of the cabinets and she said oh? and I was working so I told her I needed to get off the phone but would look for their call later. They never called back and when I called no one answered.

I am rejecting this response because if you look in one of the pictures above you can see the small League that I repaired the damage that it did to the inside it wasn't enough to cause a flood maybe a little bit of a dripping but not a flood. The flood damage was done before I bought this RV nobody told me about it you can see the flood line. I told you I bought this home because mine was destroyed in a hurricane this is my home not a toy for me. I have all of my things in it if it was flooded all of them would be damaged and none of my things are damaged so the flood was before I bought it. Which would also explain the damage I asked to be repaired on the slide, where the wood was rotted and the trim was falling off the outside of the *** i had asked for pictures of the repair and got one photo of the damage, but none of the repairs you had done .

      Sincerely,

I see where you say you want to proceed with an inspection the problem is as I live in my RV I would have to pay somebody to take it all the way down to ******** from ***************** area. That's well over an hour drive. To have somebody look at it to decide whether they want to fix it or not. I do want the inspection but I also would like them to come here for it please.

In June 2024, I consigned my 2006 Fleetwood Niagara pop-up camper to Optimum RV (************) to be sold on commission. The camper has now sat unsold on their lot for nearly a year.Optimum RV failed to identify a VIN/year discrepancy at intake, only raising it months later as a reason it could not be sold. I was not provided clear instructions to resolve the issue, despite repeated follow-ups (most recently May 14).I responded to every message Optimum RV sent. I agreed to lower the price to $3,000 at their request and offered to wholesale the camper to them for $4,000. The unit was poorly marketed with subpar photos and was listed with the wrong year: ************************************************************************************************** now live in **** and no longer have a tow vehicle. Optimum RV has unilaterally terminated the consignment and is threatening to dispose of the camper at my expense. I am requesting either a $4,000 wholesale purchase or that the camper be shipped to me at Optimums expense.
