1 starToday September 18, 2025 I was on a flight from ********* to *** this afternoon on flight attendant kicked me off the plane because I was on a call when there were other people on call with their earpieces. I have my phone to my ear, the plane had any room pulled off yet And when she said, I said OK I got off the phone. She came back from the back and was talking to another attendant and telling them oh I think she still on the phone she can get off the plane. I said I dont even live here or I said I live with whatever The case may be she was very unprofessional. Rude and very sarcastic. I did record about 12 minutes almost of the interactions. She told the pilot there was an irate passenger. They couldnt see or hear an irate passenger so they were confused on what was g rude and very sarcastic. It was more so a power trip and the attendant name is.****** ******* for spirit ariine im a frequent flyer with Spirit Airline. The people that came back on the plane couldnt believe it because Ive never given an issue to these people. The police were called. They didnt even wanna do the paperwork cause they said it was so tedious and ridiculous I could see if we were off the plane off in the air or I was rude or belligerent about it never once this needs to be addressed her behavior was very distasteful and it makes me rethink flying with Spirit Airlines. This isnt the first time *** had to deal with Spirit Airline employees either attitude or disposition because they have a position she not only did say you live here or you lived here well, you can stay here thats not something you say to anyone, and she only said it to me, but she also said it to the employees that came back on the plane to address the issue This is why Im rating 1 star if I can give no star I would.Review fromD’Ann H

1 starThey Dont care about there costumer's. Im a handicap woman and they did not help anybody.. the passengers were treated like we had the bomb and we did not somebody called in a bomb threat. They offered two $30 vouchers for future trips.. and half of the time you cant even use them because the app wont let you. And then when you called to talk to customer service, theres nothing that they can do.. its not my fault there was a bomb threat. You need to take care of your customers treat them well maybe you wouldnt be going under..Review fromGarrett H

1 starDear Spirit Airlines Executive Team,I wish to file an official complaint about the incredible mishandling of my checked bag during my recent trip with Spirit Airlines on 8/18/25. Even though I checked one bag under from ********, then it was rechecked in ***************, my suitcase still did not make it on the subsequent leg to **************. This wasnt a weather or out-of-our-control occurrence; this was incompetence or neglect on the part of the Spirit Airlines staff.The negligence of your airline caused me considerable inconvenience and loss:I missed a formal banquet I was supposed to go to with a friend.I missed my sons college appointment, an important step in his academic journey.I got held up responding to a family emergency needlessly flustering my already devastated family.The cost of the mismanagement was far greater than mere inconvenience Mismanaging Life also resulted in irremediable personal and professional damages. I was separated from my things, and I cannot make up for the missed urgent commitments.Under these circumstances, I demand reasonable and fair payment for the following:The inconvenience of my being without my luggage.What I missed at home and work.All associated costs incurred as a result of a lack of prompt delivery of my baggage by Spirit Airlines.Spirit Airlines had better take a lot of responsibility for this mistake! I would appreciate a prompt attention to my claim and a worthy compensation for the inconvenience and damages *********** not take this complaint lightly or think of it as trivial. Please confirm the next steps and that this will be settled to my satisfaction within 14 working days. 1 starI would not recommend flying Spirit Airlines for anything other than a bargain direct flight. Based on my experience while flying from ************************** to ***********, **, if your flight is delayed or cancelled for any reason then you are basically screwed. The leg of my flight from ************* to *********** was cancelled due to weather, and the airline said that my options were 1. Wait 3 days for their next available flight to ***********, of which they would pay for one hotel night. 2. Accept an alternate flight to a nearby airport, which is 80 miles away from ***********. 3. Request a refund and book travel with another airline, this was the only reasonable option for me. This option involved me having to spend the night in *************, booking a hotel at my own expense, and paying $330 for a 1 stop flight with American Airlines. When I reached out to Spirit to get an estimate of my refund, I was told that it would take 3-5 business days for them to figure that out but the agent mentioned that the flight leg value was $55. This made no sense to me because when you look up the flight from Ft Lauderdale to *********** on their booking site it is listed at $139 and up. Additionally I had paid for a carry on bag, which was an additional $70. The bottom line is that I ended up paying more than I would have had I just booked the flight with a decent carrier to begin with, and would have also saved time and frustration of dealing with Spirits poor customer service.Review fromKelle C

1 starI paid for a 1st class one way ticket for $349. My Mom was dying and it was an emergency. Was going from ***** to *******. I bought 1st class so I could cancel if I wasnt going to get there in time. She did die before my flight so I cancelled the flight. Because it was less than 24 hrs when I booked the flight and less than 24 hours when I cancelled the flight, they would not refund my money- they would only give me credit for another flight. I checked my spirit acct and the credit is not there and impossible to receive. There is no phone number on their website to actually talk to someone for extenuating circumstances. I looked online and finally found a phone number. I talked to a real person. She talked to her supervisor and told me they will not refund my money and I have to call back in 45 days to get the credit. Doesnt ******* will NEVER fly on this uncaring lousy service airline again. All the jokes about spirit airlines are true. Bet theyre out of business within a year.Review fromJohn M

1 starWell its no wonder , the government has bailed them out but they still have the worst CS ! My flight was cancelled EWR to FLL on 7/27 after 5 hours waiting and no one could give me an answer why or help with a new flight. I had an international flight on Monday 7/28 so I found a flight out of ************* ** to *** and grabbed that for 6 am departure. Now is 1030 pm and I took an **** from ****** to AC, ** to make the 6 am flight and. Make my international flight, and what do you know , they delayed that flight till 945 am departure and I missed my flight to ******** ****** causing me $2400 in extra fees and new bookings and the **** ride and Spirit has answered all my emails with my receipts do not fall in line with their requirements so Im s*** out of luck ! I will not stop till I get my money back , Ive ask for a supervisor time and time again to no avail . Ill sit myself at the Dania Fl office till they hear me out, so disgusted !Review fromEvie P

1 starThis is the absolute worst airline in history . So I booked a flight from *** to Orlando MCO and I was booked for a 6 am flight since I had a cruise to catch . All week I got emails regarding upgrading my seat , placing a bid and that everything was on time . I watched the weather and the day of my departure the weather was scheduled to be sunny and beautiful in *** (8/9/2025). At 1 am the day my flight was scheduled to leave I received an email that my flight was CANCELLED . When I called spirit they immediately offered a refund on my entire round trip but I needed to get to my destination . All other flights were booked in nearby airports so I decided on accepting my refund and paying almost 2k on a different airline to get on a flight. Spirit has no regard for their customers . They dont care about us , the inconveniences and they play the game of blaming it on weather so that they are not responsible . Ive always heard that they werent the most reliable but this is just irresponsible . This is no way to operate a business . My return flight was also delayed . I will never fly spirit or recommend this awful airline to anyone . They really make you feel like youre bottom of the barrel for even flying with them . Their **** are poorly trained and customer service is not a priority . Tell everyone you know , the money you save booking with them can cost you thousands and they just dont care . There is no money saved when your time is dismissed and there are is no regard for your vacation plans .Review fromAmir B

1 starBooked a flight for my son on 8/5 from *** to *******. He is 14 so I had to pay unaccompanied minor fee of 150. Got to airport at 9am flight delayed till 7pm that day. I cancelled the flight due to so many delays ,and booked him the last flight for the day at 730. After this new flight was delayed till 8:45pm he finally boarded the plane. I call customer service for a refund for first flight and they have been the worst customer service experience. I was given 30 voucher but no refund for my one way ticket of ****** I need my refund NOW this is theft and I will never be using Spirit Airlines for any reason after this experience with my son. File and mail complaints as I know they are going through bankruptcy soon.Review fromDeborah I

1 starI was very ill the morning I had my flight, so I got there about an hour or so before takeoff. They told me my bag was overweight which surprised me because it wasn't overweight on my previous flight. They said it would be $125 overweight fee, which I didn't have because I had unexpected expenses during my trip and had almost ran out of money. I am handicapped and was on my way to get my daughter with ************ and bring her home with me. After a grueling morning of nausea, severe pain and no help with my bags from Excalibur Casino, and waiting a long time for an ***** and getting a wheelchair, I had reached my limit and started crying. They told me I would have to empty my suitcase to 40lb or pay the fee. I finally found some cash and the desk woman put my money on an anonymous debit card without my approval. I thought she was putting it on my bank card. When they wheeled me back to the counter, they were fanagleing around with my bag. Just when when the woman was about to run my anonymous debit card to pay the fee, she said, Ooops. It's too late now to check in your suitcase. I had nowhere to go and no money for a hotel that night. They gave me the choice of waiting until the next morning to catch a flight to my Destination, and then take a 9 hour flight on top of that, or go back home. I couldn't sleep in the airport all day and night until the next day. It was 10am then. I have severe chronic pain and can't sit very long. I had to choose to go back home, which was still a very long wait. Spirit Airlines has no patience or empathy for people in my position. You have to be young and sprite to handle their BS. They also never reimbursed me for the second leg of my flight I didn't take. I am not even in a position yet to fight that! I don't think I will ever use them again. I also had to give my brand new $50 mattress away in order to fly back home. A huge financial waste for me.
