      I have extended warranty for an washer purchased through ******* , I originally had issues with my washer not turning on, so I filed my claim on 04/17/2025.After my claim was filed, I was told they would be sending out a service contractor to perform the diagnostic & repair on my washer.This company came out for a total of 6 visits ranging from 04/22/25-06/06/25, throughout these visits the tech kept delaying due to having to order replacement parts, then receiving incorrect parts, and after the 6th visit, they were not able to get my washer to turn on and they decided to no longer fix it and just have me ask for a reimbursement from Assurant.Throughout these 6 visits, I would call Assurant multiple times, to expedite the claim, since I had no working washer, they kept giving me the run around telling me the issue was escalated and they would reach out via e-mail for a update, which never happened, I would have to call back after the waiting periods for updates myself!Finally after over 10 calls they were able to set me up for a reimbursement check, this was on 06/17/25, today is 07/15/25 and I still have not received the check.I was told check was accepted on 06/19, and to allow for about 2 business days to be mailed out, and that the check should be received by July11, if it hadn't to call back.I called back on the 11th, and they now decided that I had to wait an additional 2 days before they can check status and escalate.I did wait, and called back today 07/15, only to be told AGAIN that the issue has been requested for escalation, pending a response, and that I have to wait an additional 2 more days for a update.This is very infuriating, as it is almost 3 months from the initial claim, and there has been no closure to my claim.They do not update me via e-mail as they promise to do so.I have to keep calling every 2 days wasting my time, and have yet to receive my reimbursement check. Do not purchase this "Extended Warranty",they are a nightmare to deal with!!!

      I paid for a non-refundable car rental between 6/1/2025 and 7/2/2025. However, my wife got diagnosed with a herniated disc on 6/10 (we have a doctor report). She couldn't walk at all and we had to return the car early without getting any refund from the rental car company.

      I paid for this using my Chase Sapphire Preferred card which has a Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption Coverage. Guide to benefits clearly states that this benefit reimburses for "Non-Refundable prepaid travel expenses charged by the Travel Supplier;". However, claim was rejected by Virginia Surety company with a generic response without much details. There was no further explanation or any attempt to understand the situation in more detail.

      On the day of 06/06/2023 I happily purchased this pressure washer from Lowes and was more than glad to spend the extra $** for the extended protection plan, fast forward to 06/28/2025; the pressure washers casting had a failure and developed a crack in it redeeming my pressure washer just a washer now, it has 0 pressure, So on 07/01/2025 I verified and made sure my item was no longer under the manufacturers warranty before filing the claim through the extended protection plan, my first claim was approved quickly and about two hours later I received the refund through a lowes card, I was busy at work so didn't have time to use the funds quickly, later that night I went to purchase another pressure washer as my home needs to be washed really bad, only to find out they had took the funds back and labeled my claim as denied, I filed a few more claims thinking maybe this was a mistake but it wasn't, every claim after was quickly denied. About a year ago I filed a claim and was denied before I could even go back in and cancel the claim due to discovering my water hose had the fault not the pressure washer itself which I was able to fix by purchasing a new water hose, Now somehow they are connecting my recent claims to a claim from over a year ago and keep denying my claims, I've asked that this matter be escalated many times now and keep getting the run around. I simply just want to use the coverage I purchased so I can buy another pressure washer already! I've never even had this much problems with actual car insurance claims.

      I purchased a ******* 50 Inch Tv Model# *********** On Dec 1, 2019. I contacted the company today because my Tv is not turning on. I was told by two different agents that I had a total of Five years of when I purchased the Tv. Which would have brought me according to my calculations to Dec 1, 2026.then I called back to make a claim after trouble shooting with Assurant and then *******, the agent on the call stated that my coverage for the Tv ended on Nov 1, 2024. That is not the amount of coverage I paid for. Neither one of the companies Nor Assurant nor ******* wants to take responsibility for fixing my Tv. The way these company calculate warranty is not correct. When you purchase a product you have one year manufacture warranty and you have another year from the company you purchased from or but according to the stores your warranty insurance starts the same day you purchased your product. Which is not correct. All I would like is for my product to be fixed or exchanged. Thank you

      Bought washing machine at Lowe's. Worked correctly 1 maybe 2 times in the time I have owned it. Will not fill with water on any setting other than about 6 inches from bottom I can only wash a few shirts because it will not fill up. All cycles work. Called the warranty service for ge and was told numerous times appointment for repair was made for July 11 between 8am and 5pm. Never came to do repair never called me to let me know. Wife lost 8 hrs of work time due to waiting on repaulir company. Call back and was told wait called back and got hung up on. Called back and was told that whoever did the appointment should have gotten serial number and model to give to repairman. Getting run around from company.

      Filed a claim (#********) with Assurant (carrier for extended benefits for my Visa Chase Sapphire Reserve) on 5/19/25. This was for a $***** battery replacement in a ******* *** phone that was less than 2 years old. I uploaded all pertinent documents - proof of purchase, identification information, original ******* Warranty, and Chase purchase protection warranty. On 5/29/25 I was told I needed to fax a signed letter that simply said "I do not have any other extended warranty" which I did on 5/29/25. That moved the claim into a status for an adjuster to be assigned and to be processed. I have called multiple times since then for updates - 6/18/25, 7/1/25, 7/7/25 and now 7/11/25. It keeps getting "escalated" but goes nowhere - it's still in "Open-Adjuster review" status. On my last call I've been told it's been escalated to a "manager" but don't know why it's needed for such a simple claim. The last several times I've called I've asked to speak to someone higher up but evidently they can't ever do that. If they call back it's from a number I don't recognize (I get numerous spam calls a day and do no answer unidentified calls). I get no information in the message - it's just to call back to the same place to get no additional information. This is a scam on Assurant's part and I'd think that Chase is aware of their poor performacne as well. I'd just like to get this small claim paid and stop wasting time on it. If Chase and Assurant can't provide the benefits they purport to offer I'm wasting my time doing business with both.

      I’m filing this complaint regarding a mishandled lost luggage reimbursement claim (Claim #********) administered by Assurant on behalf of my Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

      I traveled internationally on May 10, 2025, and discovered several personal items missing from a checked bag. I reported the loss to **** Airways within 24 hours and submitted a detailed claim on May 25, including baggage tag info, an itemized list (~$***** value), receipts, and a police report filed online with the **** Police.

      Despite this, the claim has been repeatedly delayed and denied for incorrect reasons:

      Unnecessary police report request: On June 2, Assurant asked for police report details, even though this isn’t required under the Chase benefits guide. I still complied and submitted it on June 3.

      Irrelevant denial reason: On June 26, the claim was denied citing rules for carry-on baggage, even though the documentation clearly stated it involved checked baggage.

      False deadline claim: On July 8, the reopened claim was denied again, saying I didn’t report the loss in time. However, **** Airways allows 7 days to report such losses — and I reported it within 24 hours.

      We’ve spent hours on the phone with Assurant, often being disconnected or passed around with no resolution. It appears claims are being denied using copy-paste language without a real review of the case.

      I’m requesting full reimbursement of my $******** claim and a formal review of how these claims are handled. This experience undermines confidence in the card benefit and in Assurant as a service provider.

      On June 14th 2025 I submitted an insurance claim for a flight that was delayed such that a connection was missed, which forced an overnight hotel stay.

      Per Assurant's FAQ page on their Chase insurance hub, I should expect a response on my claim within 7 business days. It has been 14 business days and I have yet to receive a response on my claim. The website confirms I have submitted all required documentation.

      I believe the firm may be acting in bad faith to delay paying out on an insurance claim which causes financial harm to me.

      Please note that before a BBB complaint filed, the company took no action to review my insurance claim (they purport to review claims within 7 business days and I had waited ~1 month before following up. Further, they responded within ~48 hours of receiving the complaint. This gives me reason to believe they may be acting in bad faith on a systemic level and hoping claims do not receive follow up. This may be worth further review.

      As the administrator for ***** card benefits responsible for paying out on claims. Someone stole my backpack in Mexico while I was on a common carrier. When per the guidelines in the ***** card benefits I filed a claim and provide multiple clarifications on the fact that this was clearly not a case of and I quote the reason for the refusal

      "items the covered traveler inadvertently leaves behind on the common carrier are not covered"

      Having an item stolen is not inadvertently left behind no matter how many times I clarified, the same response kept coming back as a way to deny the claim which is in bad faith and the reason for the complaint

      I am writing to formally file a complaint against Assurant concerning the ongoing denial of my claim for a stolen iPhone and the repeated flagging of my case as potential fraud. Despite my efforts to resolve this issue, my claim remains unresolved, and I am extremely frustrated.

      Here are the details of my experience:

      I have been paying for insurance coverage on my iPhone for the past two years, expecting that I would be protected in case of theft or loss.
      Recently, my iPhone was stolen, and I promptly filed a claim with Assurant. T-Mobile assisted me in this process and confirmed that my claim was filed correctly.
      T-Mobile also took the step of blocking the IMEI number of the stolen device to prevent unauthorized use.
      I am aware of the individual who stole my phone; however, T-Mobile advised me not to provide their specific name when reporting the theft.
      I do not know the exact date of loss, but estimated the date based on when I noticed the phone was no longer in my possession.
      Despite providing all necessary documentation and working with T-Mobile, my claim has been consistently denied and flagged for suspected fraud.
      I do not understand why my claim continues to be rejected or flagged, especially since I am the rightful account owner of the device and have taken appropriate steps to report the theft.

      This situation has caused me significant inconvenience and financial loss. I am still paying for a phone I no longer have access to, and I feel that my insurance payments over the past two years have been wasted. I am requesting that Assurant either:

      Send me a replacement iPhone immediately, or
      Reimburse me for all the insurance payments I have made during this period.

      I am very disappointed with how my case has been handled. I believe the repeated denial and flagging of my claim without proper investigation may suggest unfair or potentially problematic practices.
