We moved to *********, ** recently from Montgomery County, MD and I looked for a new dentist for my children. I spoke with the office at Dental ************** in *********, confirmed they accepted my children's dental insurance and made appointments. After the first cleaning, they handed me a bill which included services I did not ask for; namely expensive panoramic x-rays. I was blindsided. I paid the bill and went home and called their insurance so I could understand the charges. There should have been no charges. They decided to charge me before submitting to their dental insurance. Unfortunately, my son can only get a panoramic once every three years so I know I'm going to get charged for a very expensive and unneeded x-ray. The worst part is that I tried to call and speak to a manager and have a calm, informed discussion with her. She was immediately defensive and instead of hearing me just insisted I should have known what services my son was going to be receiving despite not being told and it not being on their website. Very unprofessional. She insisted that everyone just knows what happens at first appointments. So my mistake was not having intuitive powers. If you want to go to this practice make sure you ask the questions because they do not offer up accurate information. Also, it is a big group and there are products and pamphlets everywhere. Ever go to a place and the only thing they seem interested in is upselling you? That's the vibe I got.Review from Grace D

Doesn't even deserve a star! Huge disappointment. I only went to them because I had an emergency and it was close to the holidays. I am skeptical that the work they did was even necessary. It didn't even come out well. Be careful of the Front Desk! Don't sign anything! Like I mentioned, I had an emergency and for any work to get started, it required my signature right then and there so I was forced to sign. I was informed that my insurance paid hardly anything for the work needed. I then found out 3 days later from the insurance company that it wasn't true and that they covered 3/4 of the work. Went back and forth with this for months and the dental office refused to give me back the portion I had paid that was covered by the insurance. They lied to me telling me they had proof insurance didn't cover it and then refused my calls. Credit card company couldn't help me with charge back so I wrote a grievance through my insurance who eventually gave back to me the money I was overcharged. Find another dentist!Review from Janice B

I don't know why and how they are still in business. They are unprofessional. My appt was given to someone else while I was standing in line waiting to be seen. They switched me to another doc unknown to me and made me wait 2hrs to be seen. She told me I had to come back later that day to get the filling. I have been in severe pain for 4 days now. I feel like my nerves are exposed. Called for a follow-up appt and the said I can't come in for another week. I WISH I NEVER STEPPED FOOT INTO THAT OFFICE.Review from Maria V

I was told by the dentist that the insurance covered my crown and she was surprised as it is unusual. I was told that my co-payment would be only $55.00. Now I am receiving bills from the dental office in the amount of $433.00 and also from the Cigna insurance Company for $1,656.00. This is very shameful, someone made a mistake in your office and the patient is made out to be the scapegoat. I don't think this is very nice. In fact, it should be illegal what you are doing. I have made an appeal to Cigna and filed a complaint as well. This Company goes by Towncare Dental Associates of **** ****** **. Obviously, they don't know what they are doing there, Too busy with idle gossip to be doing their work. They need to focus and pay attention to their work. I will be sending via mail all the paperwork showing the original bill you sent me for $55.00. Someone should be fired. You don't even deserve one star! All this at a time that I am still recovering from hurricane Ian, the insurance doesn't pay and I have to pay to fix everything in my house, roof was damaged and I have to pay for it. I cannot afford all these expenditures.Review from Patricia R

I wish I would have seen these reviews before I made an appointment with **************. I have called the office manager, *********************, every day for 5 days (being overcharged and not a receiving a complete exam) and she has yet to call me back. They tried to sneak in a $67 charge and she just poked a couple of teeth and decided I needed an eval from a periodontist. In her Dr. notes she called it a full exam! I call that lying. Just imagine if you had an emergency!---- and it gets worse! I went to the perio and whatta cluster! They ALL said that it was covered by my insurance and it wasn't. Is this a SCAM? I suggest avoiding any dental care under the umbrella of Dental Care Alliance LLC, (which includes All ******** Dental operations and the Dental Specialty Center of ***************) and find more reputable practices that don't lie. They don't deserve a single 'star' rating. Be wary... keep your teeth!Review from Buddy H

Dental One Associates in College Park GA provided me with the WORST Dental Experience I ever had in my 63 years on this earth. THE WORST!!!!!! To begin, the billing coordinator, Annette, had me totally confuse about the Billing process. I was told pay this $331 or no treatment. I told her her that I have Medicare Insurance for Senior Citizens. Her reply - you have to pay the $331 or no treatment. A poor job of explaining the billing process. While calling my insurance provider to find out what is the process, several weeks go by. Then I told the dentist, McMillon, Mellissa, DDS, that I didn't wanted to go along with treatment plan because it wanted to remove teeth that were not necessary to be remove. I had this infected tooth dangling in my mouth for a month from the first office visit. The treatment plan costing over $4,000 seem to be more important then my well-being. The treatment plan would of prolong the the time before extracting this dangling infected tooth. With an attitude, she ask me - what do you want. I told her that I wanted this dangling tooth remove. I got my Dental Images, records and got the **** on. I only wish that I have done my due diligence and looking up the reviews on this place before going because would have never gave them my business. It's 's one the most unprofessional Dental Facility I've experienced. A Dentist with an Attitude - I can't trust you in my mouth.Review from Robert H.

I was given an estimate for a deep cleaning of $622.00 of w hitch I was to pay $314 and based upon their review of my insurance $308.00 was to be paid by my insurance company. My appointment was scheduled on 10/07/2022 and when I arrived they required that I pay $568 up front to have the work done. The procedure was performed and billed to my insurance company and they paid the $308.00. Adding my payment and the insurance company payment together they received $876.00 or $256.00 over the estimate provided to me even though they only did what they recommended. I received a bill dated 11/12/2022 indicating a charge for the procedure in the amount of $308.00 which the are asking me to pay. When I called and complained I was told that the $622.00 amount provide to me was only an estimate I was told they would re-submit the bill to my insurance company. I received a second bill dated 12/31/2022 in the amount of $308.00. Based on the detail they provided to me there must be a billing error and they owe me $260.00Review from Jon C
