I was getting harassed for payment failed. After getting confirmation from my bank that Payment went through successfully of $330 on March 29. The representative from your finance department ******* kept telling me that your company was supposed to pay the loan off and I was supposed to pay you a monthly payment for loan $2,970 payment is $193.76 first payment 4/15/2025.. Why is your Tax Defense Network finance department calling me to tell me Tax Defense Network failed to pay the loan upfront that I was approved for and then I pay Tax Defense Network the Monthly payment. She couldn’t even tell me at first what she was calling for. She said your payment didn’t go through how do you want to pay. That is ridiculous. As you can see she called Wednesday and Friday and today April 7. Then she says oh I see the payment but you still need to pay. That is a red flag for me. I was uncomfortable moving forward. Then was told sorry no refunds. It’s past 3 days. This is absurd. You provided me no service just worry and regret. I paid Tax Defense Network about $3500 to help settle/pay my taxes with IRS. They promised to get me on a payment plan started and stop all the collection letters from the IRS. I started and paid them over a year ago in March of 2023. They failed to get me on a payment plan. They failed to resolve my tax resolutions. I asked for a refund and they refused outright to refund me my money. I told them I was not satisfied and they accomplished nothing on my taxes and I have proof. As of last week I received a collection notice from the IRS. As of today not one single payment came out of my account to pay the IRS on this supposed monthly plan they said they signed me up on. I have called their attorney who was working on my case multiple times which I have evidence of those conversations. Nothing was accomplished and they scammed me out of my money with no resolution and no refund.

I am rejecting this response because: as outlined in the letters I received from the IRS collection efforts are still going forward and no payments were withdrawn from my account. They lied from the beginning about this. Their only response was "we finalized his account" is not a good enough response from them and is ridiculous. I'm still receiving IRS collection and threat letters. They didn't do anything and I refuse this poor response from them. I would like a refund and they refuse.

I was told that they would help me with my tax problem. I was charged almost $8k and after several months, I was told to make monthly payments above and beyond my income. NOTHING CHANGED
Now I STILL have this lingering tax bill hanging over my head and I’m not sure what to do.

September 10, 2024 was my initial contact with Mr. ***** ***** regarding taxes that I owe to the IRS. I spoke to him on 9/11/24. On 9/12/24 we had several emails going as I was not at all comfortable with my house having a lien on it. He also wanted $4,000 to make this arrangement of which I am certain I could have done this myself. Of the total 4,000, I have paid them $1,945, out of $4,000. Please see Mr. ****** "Closing Letter" dated 9/10/24. On November 19, 2024, I received a letter from the IRS stating I owe over $19,000. This concerned me so I contacted Ms ***** ********. She basically told me that this was a standard letter and not to worry. Well, On March 5, 2025, I received a letter from the IRS stating "Amount Due Immediately: $20,366.87. Now I know this was not supposed to happen. Apparently My ***** had not closed my account afterall. The email I am attaching shows you the apprehension in my words. I really did not want to do this. Yet again I dealt with *****. At this point, I want my money refunded and for them to just drop their so called case. This all began in September and as of March, I have continued to receive demand letters from the IRS. As I stated before, I do not want to do business with such a delinquent company. I hired this services for IRS debt reduction process, and they filed my taxes and put on a payment plan without even investigating nor analyzing my situation as the person they had take my case **** **** initial representative spoken to ***** ******, said that in there process account there was no directions to work on the debt reduction process, so this people are saying I just hired them for the price of 2250.00 to file my 2023 and 2024 taxes and call IRS to put me in payment plan that is stuff I could have done my self they are misleading and you cant even get a hold of them if needed have numerous of emails and screen shot text as I am starting to believe this is a total scam and probably a 2 people managed company that is why you cannot speak to different representatives as they present them selves as.Business Response

I signed up with these people to do my back taxes and when it came to make my first payment I told them I would not have the money, they took it from my bank anyway and are refusing to give it back to me. I have been in contact with them and now they are ignoring me. My bank account is now overdrawn $167.11 and will go up $25.00 by the day. They took $195.72 from me and I told them I had other bills that were supposed to come out of the money I had in my account. I have screenshots from my phone from when I called their finance department and text messages with the guy I was chatting with, who is the one who set up the program.Business Response

This company was suppose to help me with the IRS and back taxes but actually made things worse. They NEVER call you back. I have left message after message and even had an appointment and they didn't call. This cost almost $400 a month. They have received like $2400. dollars from me and cannot or just won't return my calls. That's $2400 I could have paid the IRS. I called Tax Defense on 1/2/25 and they put me on the phone with a girl ******** who tells you the fairy tale.. I then paid 1500 via debit card on a payment plan with another payment mid January of 500 .. I got documents to do and they were to get my transcripts which they said takes weeks which is not true takes 24 hours but on 1/30 they said they got them and told me numbers of what I owed and for the years . They did not even have the years right I told them that via writing and nothing in return which they were paid 2000 and nothing other than texts from the ******** girl to speak so I can pay more for them to not do a thing. I am going to also file with ftc and tell the IRS today since now I have who knows who with my tax files and personal information but the person supposedly that told me the wrong numbers has never responded in 36 days since telling me its just ******** texts to get on the phone to tell me her lies to get the balance of the payment plan The agreement reads refunds allowed.Business Response

They sent me this release and it states I will not get my refund if I talk about them. I have waited since 4/24 to get a partial refund and this has not happened. He did tell me it took 21 days via mail but I requested to have it back where they pulled it from. I have never see where a business can do this and I own 2 of them if I did this to someone which no one has ever ask us for refund cuz I am honest but if they did I would return the funds in the manner I got them . They debited by account with my debit card . They did it within 2 hours of me speaking to them. I believe this business is a ponzi scheme by definition. December 2023 hired this company to resolve past due tax. Worked with tax accountants to be deemed non collectible was told Feb 2024 all paperwork was filed. Kept getting warnings from IRS about tax all of 2024 was told that was normal. I called the irs myself end of 2024 and they had no correspondence with tax defense network. This company took 4000 of my money and didn’t do their job. They closed my case without resolving it and now are saying they are working on it but nothing is happening. I have called them every other day for weeks only to be passed around to different employees claiming they have authority to make decisions but no one there has any power or authority so they claim. I have spoken with ****, Nori, ****. **** was abusive yelling at me demanding I listen to him or I won’t even have a refund considered. This is a scam I feel like a complete fool and wasted money I could have used to pay the tax I owed or hired an attorney who would have actually done his job. This case still is not resolved over a year later. They didn’t do anything for me and now won’t take accountability.Business Response

Tax defense network was at fault for not following through with the IRS to insure my case was properly handled before they originally closed it. I wasted months reaching out to them as they shuffled me around from department to department no one taking responsibility. After 3 months they finally did the right thing, but they need to accept responsibility for their mistakes and not try to make it the fault of the IRS. On August 21, 2024, I entrusted Tax Defense with $5,400, believing they would effectively resolve my tax debt by negotiating with the IRS to reduce the amount owed. I was specifically working with ***, who assured me that my issues would be addressed. However, Tax Defense failed to deliver on their promises, taking my money without any genuine effort to negotiate on my behalf.
When I requested *** to connect me directly with the IRS, he refused, claiming he wasn't willing to engage in back-and-forth communications between us. After months of waiting with no resolution, I decided to cancel my involvement with Tax Defense. To my dismay, *** told me he couldn't process my cancellation and instead provided a contact number that went unanswered, leaving me feeling scammed.
Frustrated and desperate to sort out my situation, I reached out to the IRS on February 11, 2025. They informed me that Tax Defense often misleads clients by claiming they cannot secure any tax breaks. Taking matters into my own hands, I successfully negotiated an agreement directly with the IRS.
I am now seeking a full refund from Tax Defense, as their lack of service and support has caused me significant frustration and financial loss.Business Response
