  In February 2023, BBB contacted the business regarding its advertising claims.  
  
  The business states on its website that it is "Licensed & Insured" and its locksmiths are "certified" and "accredited."  Icons for Google+ "5-Star Business" and Yelp "5-Star Business" also appear on its website.  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.  BBB requested that it provide written proof of current licensing, insurance, certification, accreditation and that the firm is a "5-Star Business" with yelp and Google+.  The business did not reply.
  
  Its website includes several statements related to its guarantees and warranties, such as
  "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed"
  "We guarantee that we’ll only make use of accredited and qualified locksmiths who know what they’re doing." 
  "That’s why we guarantee quick response times, so you’re not left stranded for long."
  "We guarantee that we will be able to open any lock, whether it be a standard padlock or a lock with a very high level of security." 
  "We also offer a warranty on high-quality keys that are guaranteed not to deteriorate, wear out, or become tarnished as quickly as any of the cheaper alternatives."
  When using the terms warranty or guarantee in advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty or guarantee can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location or viewed on the advertiser’s website.  Advertisers should only use satisfaction guarantee if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request.  BBB suggested that the business add the terms of its warranty and guarantees to it advertising and if its policy does not include refunding the full purchase price, it should remove or modify this statement but did not receive a response.
  
  The business states "Mobile Locksmith Jacksonville is the market leader when it comes to providing locksmith services for residential, business, and automobile clients."  Superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims can be proved or disproved. BBB requested it provide substantiation for the "market leader" claim.
  
  Along with the "We are Florida’s #1 Local Locksmith Company and have been providing locksmith services to our customers with over 35 years of experience in automotive and residential lock repair and installation" claim, the business states "We have served the Jacksonville area for more than 15 years."  According to the Florida Department of State's Division of Corporations, the business's filing date as a Florida corporation is June 16, 2022. BBB requested the business provide substantiation for these claims but did not receive a response. 
  
  "We take pride in providing the fastest quality service at affordable rates" appears on its website. Advertisers must not deceptively or falsely disparage a competitor or competing products or services in their advertising and must substantiate all claims made.  The business did not provide proof that it provides "the fastest quality service." 
  
  BBB requested that the business clarify the statement "The company has been featured on Fox 30, CBS 47, ABC 33 and NBC 30" and asked if the business was featured on these stations as part of a news story or only as an advertisement on these stations.  BBB suggested that if the appearance was as an advertisement that the business modify this statement to "as advertised on Fox 30, CBS 47, ABC 33 and NBC 30." The business did not respond. 
  
  Its website claims that "We Offer The Best Price In Jacksonville For Replacing Lost Car Keys" and "We offer the best price in Jacksonville for replacing/duplicating lost car keys." According to the BBB Code of Advertising, despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims. BBB requested that the business provide substantiation or consider modifying these best price claims but did not receive a response.
