    I paid redeem vacation for hotel and I kept talking to them about booking a room but they keep giving me a run round telling me different things I dont know how it work all I wanted was a hotel that I payed for but the keep making up excuses and lies

    I am rejecting this response because:

    We feel that what we were promised (a 3-night LUXURY hotel stay in *********) fell GROSSLY SHORT of being a luxury accommodation!  And, having to pay the taxes and fees for this stay BEFORE we could even look at any hotel options was ridiculous!!  We will NEVER fall for this type of a business trap again!!  The only options that were offered in ********* are a Days Inn and an Econolodge!!  We have stayed at both of these chain hotels, ***** years ago when we couldnt afford anything else, AND THEY ARE DEFINATELY NOT LUXURY *****S!!!!  The gift certificate we were provided is SO FAR FROM BEING TRUTHFUL!!  If ********* is claiming they arent liable for anything/dont want to address this complaint, then we would appreciate it if your BBB WOULD FORWARD OUR COMPLAINT TO NANTUCKETS GIFTING DEPARTMENT, WHOEVER THAT MIGHT BE!!!  Yes, we agreed to a 3-night stay in a city of our choice (*********), BUT our complaint is simply that we were so misled to believe we would have LUXURY ACCOMODATIONS, AND HAVING TO PAY THE $142 UP FRONT, BEFORE WE COULD EVEN CHECK OUT THE ***** OPTIONS!!  Call it getting ripped off, bad business practices, or whatever you wish . . . WE JUST WANT TO BE REIMBURSED THE $142!!  (A few more details were provided the BBB employee when this complaint was initiated, in case you want to review that again.)  Thank you.

Our gifting department only provided them with the gifting they had agreed upon. If you need additional information from me, please let me know.

    Good Afternoon:

    We are just looking for an update on this complaint.  We last contacted your office on February 16th, wondering if your office would be able to furnish us contact information about the ***************** involved in this complaint.  We havent received any kind of a response yet, and it has been almost two weeks ago now.  We hope to hear back from you again, with a phone number and/or an email address for the marketing company that we apparently have to direct our complaint to.  Thank you.

    We received Mr. and ************** most recent response to the complaint filed with your office (21255311).  We encourage the ***** to contact the company (website: RedeemVacations.com) utilized to book their trip to ********* which ultimately provides the accommodation options for customers and processes the fees and charges for booking. 

     

    While ****************** is a separate company, as previously stated, from the one that runs the website or ultimately processes customers gifting certificates, we will make sure to consider the ***** feedback as we select third party vendors to partner with in the future.

    My husband and I went to *********************** for vacation. The took us to one of their properties, and they served food and made a presentation. Even though we said we were not participating in their program. We ended up agreeing to a certificate for a three-day night stay in a luxury hotel. They asked us what city we wanted the certificate to be used in. We picked *********. When you go to the website, you are unable to see the hotels until you pay the taxes and fees for your. The cost was $142.74. When we looked up the hotels in October, they only had one option. It was a Days Inn. We checked again this morning. There are two hotels now. The same Days Inn and an Econo Lodge. My husband and I looked up the hotels on TripAdvisor. Both hotels had terrible reviews and talked about bugs, uncleanness and uncomfortable rooms. Neither of these are luxury hotels that the certificate promised.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I just finished sending a LONG, DETAILED EMAIL to ****************************************** (email address given in your last communication with us.  It took me at least 30 minutes to write it, and when I tried to send it, I got the message Cannot Send Mail The server rejected one of the recipients addresses.  The message has been place in your Outbox.  Well, that sure was disappointing after spending so much time trying to email them!!!  

    Also, someone from Redeem Vacations left me a voicemail on March 6th, and I wasnt able to pick up because of a doctors appointment, so I tried NUMEROUS TIMES after that to get a hold of someone and always had to leave a message, requesting another call back.  They NEVER responded!  

    Not happy with them AT ALL!!  

    Can you please try to get in touch with them and get a WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS so I can resubmit our answer to them??  Thank you.

    Hello:  Redeem Vacations FINALLY resolved our issue with them.  They said they would send a credit through to the credit card we originally paid them with.  They DID follow through on their promise about a week or so ago and we received a credit for the full amount of $142.74.  

    The company did ask us to please REMOVE our negative comments on your Better Business Bureau site, which we are now willing to do, but we dont know how to go about doing that.  PLEASE ADVISE WHETHER OR NOT THAT CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED.  And, if the correspondence with them can be deleted, please let us know how that can be done.

    My daughter won a free 3-day vacation from Redeem Vacations in September 2023. At that time we activated the vacation as the terms stipulated it must be activated within 30 days. We have made multiple attempts to schedule the vacation since then however, there are never any dates available. The lack of availability includes all hotels included in the offer. The upgrade option is sketchy, which is what led me to seek their BBB score. Considering all of the above, I would greatly appreciate a reimbursement of the activation fee I paid. This will allow me to put it toward a vacation my daughter has been so excited to take. A vacation that she THOUGHT she won. This is a discrete!

    On 10/4/23 I purchased a voucher to visit Rome. I was told I could use my voucher in the summer of 2024 and I would have a choice of hotels to choose from once I paid the taxes. I was unable to speak to someone before paying for the fees. After paying, we were able to see there are zero days available summer of 2024 or 2025. There is only one week in 2024 that is available at this point. I spoke to a representative online several times to confirm and was told there was nothing that could be done. I have requested a refund in and have received no response from redeem vacation.

    I was giving a free vacation from a company got in contact with redeem vacation book my hotel they told me to book my flights after I had a confirmation from the hotel that my room was book got a booking number and reservation confirmation month before my stay I get a call from them telling me they overbooked and that I had to reschedule I cant get a refund on my flights now Im out of luck on 1200 dollars of flights all they can tell me is I understand where your coming from redeem vacation is a scam total scam do t do business with this company at all

    I have tried multiple times to redeem my vacation on multiple dates. The earliest date I can choose is September of **** which is ridiculous. Then the only hotel I can stay at without paying extra is in *****, ** which is not in *********** which was my choice of a hotel. I think this is just a scam to get peoples money.

    I have 3 sets of clients that have been trying to contact this company in regard to their reservations and processing an upgrade. They all paid the activation fee, then were coaxed into paying more for a subpar resort with only access to their room and the beach. This company is an absolute SCAM! Redeem Vacations has promised a call back and did not make good on their word. I am a travel professional that trusted in this company to do their part and you've now destroyed a great relationship with my clients. You are a HOAX that cons people out of money and do not deliver on the vacations advertised.

    I won a supposedly free trip to ******. Had to pay $384.75 in resort fees and taxes before I could even see what hotels options were available. Hotels are bare minimum hotels with little amenities. Most dates were already unavailable and staying on certain dates required an upgrade fee for a FREE room. And they charge $95 extra for weekends. You can only reach them by chat. I asked about upgrades and they said call hotels. Call the hotel and they say theyre not familiar with Redeem Vacations to call them. This has been a nightmare! Trying to plan a FREE vacation all while having to travel over ***** miles to get there with extra fees is ridiculous. After checking the hotel website I couldve booked cheaper myself and at much nicer hotels. This experience has been terrible and Im requesting a refund. I wouldnt recommend this company. No wonder businesses give out these trips because its a joke.

    When I signed up with Redeem Vacations I was given the names of of three highly rated hotels that I would be able to choose from. I was happy with the choices so I decided to sign up for the vacation by paying the hotel taxes and fees. After I did that and went to book my trip, the hotels that were promised when I signed up are not showing as options. The hotels that were promised when I signed up were *****************, ************************* and ****************************. The only ************* that show up are not what I signed up for. I would have never signed up had I known that these hotels were the options. I have tried to reach out to Redeem Vacations and they have never gotten back to me. I feel like I'm being scammed and I would like a refund. I uploaded a photo of what was sent me with the names of the hotels that were promised.

    I got a travel certificate, it said I had to activate it but that I could ************** within the next 18 months. Well, you can't see the calendar until *after* you pay, so once you pay you realize that the end of may - mid September are all blocked out, which is the only time I can travel. That certainly doesn't sound like anytime to me. This is a scam, I would have never paid if I knew they were blocked out for months at a time.
