Mid-Atlantic Finance *** bought my car loan from ( Direct Auto Loan) on November 1st, 2024. I received a letter from them stating that they bought my loan. The envelop I received the letter had my name listed wrong. They had my name listed as ******** *******. When I contacted Mid Atlantic, they did not have my correct information. Did not have my name correct. stated that I did not have a Social Security Number and did not have the correct phone number listed. The letters that were mail stated Dear Customer. I contacted Direct Auto Loan with no avail. VM was always full, left message to have someone return my call never got the return call. When I received the letters, I put them aside thinking it was sometime of fraud. About a week later I received a payment booklet from Mid-Atlantic. I got in contact with Direct Auto Loan around the end of November they stated that my car loan had been sold. I reached out to Mid-Atlantic about my account. My initial payment started in October; I explained to them that I made my October payment with Direct Auto Loan. I also could not understand how I was behind on the payment, if they bought the loan in November. *** explained that they will work with me to catch up my November payment and noted that my October payment was made. On December 28th, 2024 I made my first payment with Mid-Atlantic for $385.03. I set up arrangements with them to make my next payment on January 10th, 2024. Payment arrangements was approved to catch up the missing November payment. On January 5th my car was towed, sold back to Direct Auto Loan for nonpayment on January 3rd. I explained that I made a payment on December 28th. She stated that we missed October and November. They did not have my loan in October. Explained that I made my October payment with Direct, she stated that they cannot speak for Direct Auto Loan, they are a different company. I'm requesting a refund on the payment. The payment never reflected on my account for payment.

I am rejecting this response because:  We made our last payment with Direct Auto Sales on 10/24/2024 in the amount of $400.00.  If the account was delinquent when you purchased the vehicle, why purchase the account.  When I contacted you, my information was not correct.  With all the fraud going on how could I trust the information.  I had to get confirmation from Direct Auto Sales.  Spoke with a **** she noted that I made a payment on October 24th, she stated that they will work with me to catch the November pay up, which I was going to pay the following two weeks.  My account was sold on 11/01/2024 and bought back on 01/03/2025.  That is two months difference.  Why buy and sales in two months.  Payments Direct Auto Sales: 10/24/2025 for $400 and payment 12/27/2024 for $384.00.  Both companies say I was ***** delinquent. Car got repossessed on 01/05/2025 for delinquent payment.  I am requested a refund on my payment, because it did not apply to my account resulting in my car getting repossessed. due to being 99 days delinquent.
      Sincerely,

      ******* ********

I am rejecting this response because:  How could I possibly catch my payment up, when you purchased the account was already delinquent.  We made arrangements with your customer service.  After making payment arrangements my account was sold.  If you purchased an account that is behind, what is your answer to catch the payment up.  It seems like fraud, why buy and sale an account in less than 3 months.  I requested a refund of my payment.  Due to fraudulent practices.

      Sincerely,

****** ******* gives me the authorization to discus this account for the purpose of resolution: You can call him for verification purpose: You may reach Mr. ******* personally at **************.Ive been asked by ****** ******* to look into the transactions resulting in his truck being repossessed on the 5th of December 2024 due to inaccurate financial of Impact Auto. From reviewing the record(s), it appears that some accounting issues where negligent in properly accrediting the account of cash payments, leaving the account in default and late. If these accounting practices were accurately processed, at the time this particular account was sole to Mid Atlantic, the records o accounting would have shown that the account was stable and on time, making the repossession unauthorized by Indiana State Law Standards. Due to the mis-accounting method of Impact Auto, when the account was sold to Mid Atlantic, it showed the account was delinquent causing the repossession. Mr. ******* is afforded the legal standards of obtaining notification by *********** that his account was being sold prior to that transaction. In this matter, Mr. ******* was not made aware of that sale, and was not given the opportunity to pay off the remaining balance prior to Mid Atlantic purchasing the account. Mid ********************** caused the repossession, the fees associated with the repossession, reinstatement fees, a negative report to his credit and fees associated with the towing company including loss wages. Unless those fees are waived, the negative credit report is removed and Mr. ******* is afforded the opportunity to receive his vehicle today without costs, Im instructing Mr. ******* to file a formal complaint with the ******************************** and the ****************************************.

On September 18th I opened my vehicle loan app on my phone to make my regular payment and upon entering my bank card info and hitting submit the app froze. I immediately called Mid Atlantic to bring the app issue to their attention. The man I spoke to assured me the payment wasnt showing on their end saying it didnt go through so I made a payment with him. The next morning I see on my electronic bank statement the payment came out twice! Understandably Mid Atlantic wanted to see my bank statement for proof of it which I have provided several times. Over two weeks I tried to get the payment back as I cant afford three payments in one month. Two weeks go by and nothing! So by this time another payment was due and I told them to just make my account current and keep the payment. Two months later Mid Atlantic is STILL trying to tell me they didnt get an extra payment and that Im behind affecting my credit! I have countless proof of the emails, calls with them and my bank and still no resolution! The latest resolution I tried to get was with an employee named *****, she said my bank and I could call her. We tried with no answer by her so of course I had to leave a voicemail! Its like they are hoping Ill get tired of the harassment and no resolution so they can keep my money. I dont think so, thats theft!! I have all the emails Ive sent with my proof, did everything they have asked, times Ive called them and my bank and Im just DONE! The error is with them and their system not me or my bank! All I want is for Mid Atlantic to make this right. I do not want a refund, all I want is for my account to be current and for them to leave me alone and never call me again! I will NEVER go through them again! They are causing me to suffer, interrupting my peace of mind, time with my family and my nursing career, enough is enough! Ive never even been late on a payment the whole couple years Ive had my car!!!
