    This was a horrible moving company. I started off with $2,365.00. By the time I got to my move, they wanted $3,500.00. They never came out, and I paid $975.00 for the deposit. I get none of my money back from the deposit. Im pissed!!!

    We are sorry to hear of your frustration and want to take a moment to clarify the details of your reservation.
    Your initial estimate was for 784 cubic feet based on an inventory of 66 items and a scheduled pickup window of September 1920. During a follow-up call with our office prior to your pickup, you increased your inventory to a total of 125 items, which represented nearly a 50% increase in what had been originally reserved. Naturally, this required additional space and resulted in a higher overall cost. You chose not to proceed with those adjustments.
    Please also note that our office attempted to reach you multiple times to confirm your scheduled pickup for September 20.
    We regret that your experience left you dissatisfied and will ensure your feedback is reviewed internally so our team can continue to improve communication and clarity with customers going forward.

    Do not use. They are very deceptive in their practices, not forthcoming. Once they sub out your move, there are extra charges they do not disclose.

    Were sorry you felt misled. Coastal Moving Services is a licensed broker, and while the assigned carrier performs the transport, all possible additional chargessuch as for extra cubic footage, long carry, stairs, or special packingare clearly outlined in the moving estimate you received at the time of booking. We regret if this wasnt fully explained during your experience and will use your feedback to strengthen communication and clarity going forward.

    I was originally quoted around $5500 for my move from CA to **. I asked if the price could go higher. I was speaking with **** ***** who told me that unless I add a jacuzzi to my list, the price will stay the same. Then about 3 days before my move, a different employee called to review the list. It was the same, but this time he charged me $705.99 more, and raised the total to $6888.84. Then it was moving day. Now the bill came to almost $10,000!!! I called the company to complain about the new total and this was their response: "You can tell the driver to pack only $6884.99 worth of items onto the truck and then just leave the rest behind if you can't afford it." I was shocked and trapped!!!! WTF!!!????So I had no choice but to agree to pay it. Now, today is Sept. 12th and I still don't have my stuff. AZ is only about **************************************** **. I drove here in a day-and-a-half. I have called customer service at least 8 times now to find out when my stuff is coming and every single person has been rude and not helpful. I called again today to find out when my stuff is coming and after speaking with an extremely defensive and hostile person, I finally got an answer to my question! All the other employees wouldn't even do a status check for me! They just told me that there way to know this information. So, I spoke with ****** who checked the status of my move for me (after listening to her being very rude towards me). She told me that the truck was set to be on the rude on Monday, the 15th of this month (Sept. 2025), and could take up to 5 days from there. This means that they won't get here until Sept 22nd!!!!!!! And that's only if all this falls into place. All of the employees that I spoke with told me that I was asked a good date for delivery and I said the 7th, because that's what's written on their paperwork. (I have asked them to send me all the paperwork because I can't find any of it in my email!). NOT TRUE!

As outlined in the signed estimate and paperwork, final charges are determined at pickup based on the actual space and services required, and delivery timelines are estimated based on mileage and your First Available Delivery Date rather than a guaranteed date, unless the ************* is purchased for an expedited delivery. We regret that the communication you received left you dissatisfied and will be reviewing this internally.

    Expect the charge to go up since the price quote was underside. I could live with that. I was told our items would be kept in a climate controlled space in ********. It stayed in ****** in a warehouse. By the time we got everything the boxes were mangled and falling apart from heat. Staff were polite and worked hard but they were not movers, just dumpers. So if you're going to pay close to the same amount in the end, go with professional movers...and when you tell them a delivery date, you find out after the fact that would be the soonest not that they wait to fill up a truck so it could be a few weeks before you get your things. The 2 star is only for a few of the staff.

As outlined in the estimate and bill of lading, storage and delivery timelines are coordinated by the carrier, and the First Available Delivery Date represents the earliest date you are able to receive your shipment, not a guaranteed delivery date. While we are glad to hear the staff were polite, we regret that the overall experience did not meet your expectations.

    Continually harass me and add stress to moving by their constant calls and texts even when I talked with them and tole them the dates and my needs they still call and call and text and text!!! Beware!! Especially ****

    Never ever go with this moving services. They try to charge extra when they want to move your stuff. They say the cubic feet is a lot and they charge you extra for less luggage. Over the phone they never mention anything about this. This company is a total scam and ripoff. They hire third party agents to deliver your stuff.

You acknowledged and electronically signed this document prior to pickup. Our records also reflect that your items required an additional 128 cubic feet on the day of pickup, which you proceeded with.     THE WORST, LYING, DECEPTIVE moving company I have ever used. THese people are crooks and should not be allowed to advertise. THey mislead you as if they are the moving company they are merely a broker and then take a HUGE chunk of the cost. I called them 3 times to increase my materials. I asked them several times to come to look, that should have been the red flag. **** insisted he has been doing this for years and they are the moving company which was a lie. I specifcially asked if they are a broker and he said no. THen they did not inform the mover that actually moved me of my several calls adding items to be moved, so they increased their cost as well. My move went from around 5k to over 8k and it was the worst move Ive ever had in my life. DO NOT use these crooks!!!!!!!!! THE WORST

Our records reflect that this matter was resolved with you on 05/27/2025, when we offered a partial refund to assist with the packing charge incurred onsite at pickup. You agreed to this resolution, signed a settlement agreement, and the refund was processed. The last time we spoke with you was also on 05/27 where you expressed the partial refund eased the pain of the move and you were happy with that. We apologize for any continued frustration you've experienced since then.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They completely scammed us. They disguise themselves as a full service company but they're just a broker looking to make a quick ***** The "moving specialist" I spoke with sounded like he took pride in what he does; even touted being former military to add to his integrity. They gave the impression they handled everything. They do not. They are just the broker and once they find a moving company to subcontract with, their hands are cleaned. They offer a competitive quote which almost seems too good to be true. It was. They blatantly lied about how much cubic footage I was getting and when I followed up with them about the item count, they didn't bother relaying that vital information to the subcontractor. Then, when the actual moving company shows up on the very last day of our lease, they say the size won't work and charged me another $3K. I called/text Coastal Moving Services over and over but no one answered. The moving company had all the leverage. I signed under duress. *** did not hold themselves accountable for what appears to be a classic bait and switch when they finally reached back out after weeks of badgering. When confronted, their response was simply, "We didn't force you to sign the contract." Infuriating. When confronted about the space promised versus the space allotted, their response was, "I can't comment on what was told to you verbally; only that you signed the contract." When asked for a refund to make things right, their response was, "We don't have that money anymore. There's nothing to refund you." Such a poor way to conduct business but hey, they're not really trying to drum up repeat business. They just prey on stressed out desperate movers knowing they have most of the leverage once they sweet-talk you in. As for the movers, Loadrans, had I been told that was who was going to handle it originally, I never would've agreed. Their rating is even worse than CMS. Lost items, damaged items, everything was dirty.

Estimates are based on the inventory provided, while final charges are determined onsite by the carrier after physically assessing the shipment. Please note that our billing department was alerted on 08/21 that your deposit had been disputed through your bank.We regret we couldn't come to a resolution with you directly.     Buyer beware! I decided to ignore all the negative complaints i heard about the company,and devided to go with Coastal moving services and unfortunately, it cost me lots of time and money. I reserved the date, gave them a down payment of $1,300, on a estimate of a $3,400 move. Gave them the list of items, which i did not add a thing to, and waited for the moving day. I did not know, they are brokers snd sub contract other companies to do moves, thats problem number 1, problem 2 is the UPCHARGE. if i added things, I get it, but everything i mentioned was still there, and they proceed to tell me,after taking pictures, that its now $7000. A one bedroom move!! With one sofa, onebedroom set, is $7000!!. I had to cancel immediately. Now they dont want to refund my deposit, even with no services rendered. Do not, I repeat do not give them a deposit without looking up customer reviews, and when you see the comments believe them. Lastly, if you contract a moving service, they have to come out, look at what needs to be moved, take measurements and pictures, then, the estimate they give you, is an accurate one, sbd the price is locked. If they dont do that, then espect a upcharge, a big one. I will continue to let people know about this company every chance I get.

    This is not moving company, this is an organization worthy of a **** investigation judging from all the reviews. My story is no different and unfortunately, I didn't check here first. I got a low quote over the phone, where you give the caller a rough idea of what your moving(because who completely inventories their life?) ************ claims that I failed to mention MY BED and the only accounted for my mattress stating "some people only move there mattress" WHO DOES THAT? Any that and my adding a 5 piece dinette set nearly DOUBLED my quote!!! They took over $3K out of my account HAVING NEVER SEEN OR TOUCHED ANYTHING I OWN! I obviously cancelled, thank goodness or it sounds like they would have held my stuff hostage! BUT THEY REFUSE TO RETURN MY MONEY, AS IF A HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH A BROKER OVER THE PHONE IS WORTH MORE THAN $3K. They did absolutely NOTHING for me but exchange a couple calls and emails! This is beyond outrageous! I will do everything i have to to get recompense. The site REQUIRED at least a 1 star rating, this company does not deserve it!

    We are sorry to hear that your experience left you so dissatisfied, and we would like to clarify how your file was handled and the purpose of the deposit you paid.
    Your initial estimate was prepared on 08/23 and reflected an inventory of 103 items with an estimated space reservation of 528 cubic feet. A few days prior to pickup, you contacted us to make adjustments and added 15 items to the inventory. This increased your estimated space reservation by an additional 168 cubic feet. You reviewed and agreed to these adjustments, signed the updated moving estimate, and elected to proceed under those terms.
    On 09/02, two days before your scheduled pickup window, you emailed us requesting to cancel services. Because services were booked on 08/23 and cancelled on 09/02, this was outside the cancellation window for a full refund of the deposit as explained in the estimate. For that reason, our team offered the option to place your deposit on hold to be applied toward another move within the next 12 months or to transfer it to a friend or family member.
    As outlined in the signed estimate and supporting documents, the deposit is not a payment for physical moving labor but rather for the role Coastal Moving Services provides as a licensed broker. This includes securing your reservation, assigning a carrier, and coordinating logistics between the parties. Once those arrangements are in place, our role is considered fulfilled, and the deposit becomes nonrefundable outside the agreed cancellation window.
    We hope this explanation clarifies why your deposit could not be returned in full and the reason a hold option was extended to you. While we regret that this outcome was not what you were hoping for, the process followed was in line with the terms and policies outlined in your signed moving estimate.
