1 starIf I could leave zero stars, I would. I started off with a nice guy named ********************* who promised me Coastal Moving Services would be able to complete my move from Georgia to **** in a two day period. The price was decent and I thought I was all set. Fast forward to the day prior to my move. The truck driver called me and told me he would be there to load the truck the next day, just as we had discussed. I wanted to make sure one last time that they would deliver to my residence in **** the following day. This is when it all fell apart. The driver told me my items may be on the truck for 7-14 days. Adding to an already overwhelmingly stressful situation, my go to person, ****, did not answer his phone after that. I called in to the company and spoke with five different people, none of whom could help, connect me with a manager, or give me a price for expedited service. The next morning, same story. No one could tell me a price or connect me to anyone who could make an expedited move happen. Canceling a moving company the day of the move was just grueling, but I knew not to trust this company any longer. Lies and deception from Coastal Moving Services. They would not refund my $2500 deposit either. Stay away from these duplicitous people! They are liars and thieves!Coastal Moving Services, LLC

Thank you for your feedback. We take customer feedback seriously and have looked into the circumstance you stated occured. Your relocation was going a total of 739 miles and no where on your file did it state that you required a next day delivery. The **************************** labor laws state that labors can only drive upto 500 miles a day upto 8 hours a day. A two day delivery would be possible and is considered a PGS service meaning premium guaranteed delivery service at an additional cost. We received notification that you were looking into that service the day prior to your assigned move date and due to the last minute request that was not an option as those requests need to have a logistical route preplanned in order to have a route and driver assigned to take the shipment directly out for delivery. A date change option would have been avaiable in order to give time for dispatch to set that up but you denied that option and then cancelled on the day of your assigned pick up with crew already in route to you. We understand that you expected a delivery immediately but clients also need to undertsand the reality of logistics and what is required to move loads across state lines staying in compliance with the law. If you would still like the service and untilze your deposit you have the option ot do so for upto one year as stated in our agreements with you and the paperwork that discusses timeframes on estimated delivery windows.Review fromTaylor B

I was ******* by **** ******* and Coastal Moving Solutions. He lied and said they don’t use a 3rd party company. “Luxury Logistics” shows up in an Enterprise Truck. Original quote was $1600. Paid $790 to CMS. When the drivers got to my route 8 hours late Luxury Logistics told me that I have to pay $2000. That is almost $1000 more. I was ******* and was not able to call the office. **** ******* was zero help as the original booking agent. This is a business ****. DO NOT USE!Coastal Moving Services, LLC

In regards to the truck that arrived it is not uncommon for motor carriers to have leases set up with businesses like **************** or Enterprise in order to service multiple locations. 1 starWe contacted Coastal Moving Services on 2/23/24 after reading glowing reviews online at birdeye.com Clearly fake. It started with *********************. Our son was moving from OR to ** and he needed his possessions by March 10th. ****** quickly confirmed they had a driver available who would deliver by March 10th. We discussed our inventory and ****** concluded that we needed 300 cu ft and quoted us $2600 all included. A deposit of $1266 was paid, leaving a remaining balance of $1398.51. On pick up day 2 Russian guys with no ID showed up late in a rental truck. They quickly determined that we needed far more than 300 cu ft. I tried calling ****** to get some help with this situation but she would not pick-up or return my calls. In fact she has never returned a single call since the initial conversation. The movers charged us additional 171 cu ft (our inventory had not changed) and the new total was $2611.28. By the time I was shown the new contract, with Loadrans LLC, my load was on the *********** felt powerless to change anything. I paid them a deposit of $1304 by credit card (they added a 5% fee) which was processed by another unknown entity - Hermes ********************************* The delivery driver then added another $670 for a shuttle service we did not want or need and long carry.A statement on their website says: "We strive to be there for you during your move from start to finish and will assist with all aspects of your moving needs." Completely untrue. CMS did not care about us after we paid our initial deposit. They sent a disreputable company to our home who added more than $2000 to our move. CMS made no effort to help with this situation throughout the move. They ignored all voicemails and emails.We are victims of fraud and double brokering with ********************************** Their license to operate as a ********************** company/broker should be revoked. We are seeking a refund for the additional $2000 that was extorted from us.Coastal Moving Services, LLC

This review in very unfair to the values of our company. Regrettably, ypur feedback does not align with the actual interaction you had with our company. Our company was in constant communication with you through this entore process. On the day of pick up you required an additional 171cf due to addiitonal items being added. You had the opportunity to stay at your orginal space reservation of 300cf. This conversation was discussed with you while the crew was on site with you and one of our customer ******************** represenatives. To claim you were unaware of the new cost is untrue. You did in fact require a long carry service and were charged for stairs. These are not made up fees and are also outlined in your estimate. This is considered additional labor and is not done for free unfortunatly. You then were delivered 9 days after pick up for a move going 2653 miles. This is ************** Your delivery location due to the layout of the apartment building also would not fit a semi trailer, this fact is not our fault and is also why shuttle services are outlined in the estimate as well, due to only certain circumstances requiring that type of service.
It states in the terms of payment section that if electing to use a creditcard at the time of pick up then a processing fee would be applied.
TERMS OF PAYMENTS: Upon booking a 20% deposit (plus binding estimate fee) is required to be paid in the form of ACH electronic check, credit/debit card ****** Mastercard, or Discover). By signing this agreement you authorize your deposit to be processed. Prior to pick up, 70% of the balance is due in the form of cashiers check, cash, and postal money order written out to the assigned motor carrier. The remainder is due at the time of delivery. Should you require payment with a credit card at pickup, you must have a credit card payment listed on your estimate at the time of booking. A 3-6% surcharge will apply for processing at the time of pick up and a credit card authorization form must be signed. At delivery the balance is due prior to unloading in the form of *********** Money Order or Cash only. Subject to federal law, payment in FULL of all charges is required before delivery and prior to unloading. Subject to the 110% law, if applicable. All charges are based on carrier's full tariff rates. If payment is not made, then the carrier may place the goods into storage until payment is made; in such cases the customer will be responsible for all storage and re delivery fees.
Optional *********** Services and Additional fees (if applicable to the move): It is customary for the carrier to offer additional service options to the customer. Optional ******************** include, but are not limited to, storage, packing materials, unpacking, appliance servicing, shuttle, long carry, rigging hoisting and lowering, wooden/cardboard crating, exclusive use of vehicle, guaranteed delivery, etc. If a customer orders an additional service or an additional service is required to complete the move, then the charge for the service will be added to the final bill. Optional *********** post contract services not included in your estimate include:
First flight of stairs is included (10 steps), each additional flight/landing is $75.00.
Long carry: First 100 feet are included; each additional 100 feet will be charged $75 per 100 feet.
Shuttle service: if a semi-trailer cannot get reasonably close to a building or house for loading/unloading a shuttle truck may be required to perform relocation at a minimum charge of $350 and up according to your total cubic feet/weight ($1 per cf).
Packing of fragile/delicate items (such as ceramics, TVs, glass, etc.); packing and crating services not already listed within proposal; loading of bulky items (such as a motorcycle, pianos, kayaks, gun safe, large toolbox, glass furniture, grandfather/grandmother clocks, exercise equipment, mechanical furniture etc. If certain appliances are digital, crating them might be necessary).
Packing supplies such as boxes, bubble wrap, etc.
Storage: any additional month will be charged at $0.75 per total cubic footage ($225 minimum). When ready to come out of storage please send an email to **************************************** and call **************.
For full packing service: All labor and materials to professionally pack all boxes, fragile items, and furniture listed. If additional items are added at time of pick up, then the total price for full-service packing will be increased and adjusted by the guaranteed rate provided. A new agreement will be presented at time of pick up. Full packing services are charged at $1.25 per cubic foot and do not include any additional charges for bulky items.Review fromAngela H

1 starWarning! They just want your money and will lie and tell you anything until it's too late. The movers showed up at 1pm (4 hours late) knowing we had a 4.5 hour drive. Their billing office confirm they take cash, money order or venmo so I downloaded the app then they said their boss won't let me use venmo because it's disputable. Then they said because my desks here glass (they were given this information ahead of time) they could not stack them so because I used a little more space in the truck that was not being used (they had full *************** of time) they charged me $1,000 more after stuff was already loaded! I had to have my boyfriend meet me so I wasn't at an office alone at night with these crooks, didn't leave the office until 9pm!! It was a 12 hour day, then they had the audacity to ask for a tip! I called many times and they have terrible customer service, They are rude and said would have someone call me back and no one ever did! I emailed my original contact and he also won't email me back!
