      Hello, I was very happy with the products I was provided. However I am no longer in need of the service due to my current living situation. For a few weeks I have called every single week day to try and reach someone in account ******************** since this is the only option they provided in order to cancel the service. Each phone call I have been on hold for thirty minutes to an hour and still unable to speak with a representative and the wait time just increases the entire time I am on the phone. I just want to cancel my service since its no longer needed but they have made that impossible since I cant speak to a single person at account ********************. It seems like they have just lumped there alarm service and account service people into one group so they never answer the regular account service calls because they are constantly responding to alarms. I am grateful that they take the alarms seriously but other people also need to be able to speak to someone as well for there account needs. Thank you for any help you can provide. I cant keep paying for there service.

      We have had many times during the past year have had ourADT cameras cut out at our vacation home in ***********. We have a **** square foot home and put in a wifi extender like adt kept saying was the problem, it was not , cameras still dont stay working and keep cutting off at times during the night and day. Ridiculous long hold times when we call. Its like having and paying for a security guard who sleeps on duty.

      This company refused to cancel my account when I told them over a month ago. Then on July 28, 2023 I received a email from ADT Security Service stating that I have a bill for ******? How dare they try to scam me. I spoke with my bank over a month ago and told them to cancel my debit card because I did not want ADT to take ***** out of my account no more because they started treating me bad and not wanting to give me all copies of my bill receipts. They kept telling me they could not give me all of my receipts so I did not trust them. I had a contract from 2018 and it was for 2 years but that contract was finished four years ago. I never resigned another contract with ADT but still they were taking payments of ***** dollars each month. They are straight scammers and I don't know where this bill for ****** has came from but they are not getting no more money from my account. These crooked people at ADT is all about trying to get money from customers especially when you don't owe them nothing. I even called ADT the other and asked if they already cancelled my account and they still didn't cancel it because they are trying to get money from me and they are keeping the service on when they suppose to have removed and cancel my service. This is crude and wrong of them to do this, it seems to be illegal to me. And I'm calling my bank in the morning to fill a serious complaint on what they are doing to me. I was trying to upload my old contract but the system says my files was to big. I can email it to BBB if needed.

      In addition, to this complaint I asked ADT Security to come and take my security cameras and sensors down because when I signed that old contract in 2018. They sent a technician to install all of the security equipment around my house and inside of it. Now since I cancelled my services with ADT, they refused to uninstall my equipment so I can get another company. They made up many excuses and lies in not wanting to send someone to uninstall the equipment. ADT is still treating me very crude, and they are angry that I cancelled the services. If they would have treated me with the respect that I deserve as a customer, this complaint would not be occurring. But instead, they want to be very difficult and trying to hurt me.

      ---see attached contract---This is the illegal forged contract. ADT forged my name on this contract.

      Here is the correct contract from ADT Security Services. Please read
      section 8 where it does not say anything about ADT does not dismantle
      equipment from the customer home. I was a customer until I cancelled my
      ********************. So after I cancelled my services they still supposed to come
      and dismantle my equipment. The contract is attached please read it.

      I don't understand why BBB would closed my complaint against ADT and not resolve the issue. This is unfair since I had my proof which should have supported my case. I should have not ask for help from BBB if I knew this would happen to me. This is why companies like ADT gets away with illegal practices and mistreatment towards their customers.

      My alarm system was down for a month because the ADT tech was waiting on a part to come in. I was told that in May I would not be changed but I was. I called when the charge hit my bank and was told that I would get a check back for this in 3 to 7 days. The check never came. I then followed up on ******** asking where the refund is. Every time I asked I was told it was being released immediately and nothing ever arrived back in my bank. We are now at a month later and I am sure that they are about to charge my account again. I would like to be refunded as I was promised on 3 occasions by this company.

      This complaint is referring to a billing issue with ADT in which I have now spent considerable time on the phone with them and is unresolved and they are trying to bill me for cancelation of a contract, when the new homeowners have assumed service. Every time I call they purposely do not rectify this issue, hang up the phone or transfer me. What they are doing is unethical and at this point criminal as they are billing me after a contract has been voided. We moved out of our house ******************************************************************** on June 30th. The new owners ******************* assumed the contract and had service turned on in their name shortly thereafter. I received a bill on June 30th for service in the $80.46. I called them to cancel service and return to me any money from unused billing days and any credits. Instead they billed me for contract cancelation in the amount of $341.96. I really need help with this, because they have record of the transfer of service and I am very concerned that if they dont fix this it will impact my credit. Please kindly help.       I cancelled security services with ADT in December of 2022 because their equipment was not working, the services calls to our home resulted in no solution. Looking through my May credit card bill in detail, I discovered that ADT had charged us $594.48 on my credit card for monitoring services for 2023 and have generated an August invoice for another $84.00. I can't cancel through the website. I can't cancel through email. I've been on the phone and spoke with a customer service agent after a LONG wait on the phone. She said she would connect me to the ******************** and I have been waiting on hold for this ***** for over an hour. I already did this in December. Here I am doing this again. I can't seem to cancel. So as I wait on hold again, I write this complaint. Please help! follow-up....I ended my call after 1 1/2 hours with no resolution. The cancellation **** has to escalate my case to a group who will return my call within 48 hours. I'm still not cancelled. I feel like I'm being held hostage. I feel that I have no rights as a consumer in this situation.I have a case# now. Case# ******** and a direct phone# ************** ext#4

      ADT is charging me $80 additional dollars as a cancellation fee. I told them the length of my contract in ********** is 24 months. I cancelled my contract after 3 years. I was told on the phone that I verbally renewed my contract for another two years, but I have no recollection of that conversation or agreement. When I asked for the recording, the representative from the Riverside ************* told me corporate had it. When I asked for their contact information, he told me they would contact me. They never have and are still asking me to pay. I have read that this is a scam perpetrated by this company. I wish to file a complaint for fraudulant business practices. I want the $80 taken of my bill.

      Sometime in March of 2022, when we had just moved into our new home, an ADT sales rep knocked on the door, claiming that his visit was pre-arranged and that he was surprised we werent notified. He was vague and spoke quickly and gave us the illusion that we were somehow the lucky recipients of all this great security equipment that someone signed us up for. After he got through all of his presentation, he went through best options for the house and told us the contract was one year. And even though we were still confused by his fast paced speech and his presence, we figured, one year, why not? All the signatures were done electronically and quickly and then someone was sent out to install. After one year, we decided we did not need the system anymore. After making several phone calls (youre on hold almost and hour each time) I spoke with a representative and canceled the services. Not once did this rep warn me that I was canceling early, nor did she warn me that Id be responsible for almost $1000 in penalties, or offer to let me try and at least return the equipment. Apparently we were tricked into a three year contract which I NEVER wouldve knowingly signed. And upon investigation into the company, there are several recent employee reviews on indeed that flat out state the ****, ** employees are trained to trick customers and upsell every chance they get. ADT has shady business practices and we should not be responsible for the existing charges since we we intentionally misled and lied to. I would like the charges dropped and the collection agency calls to stop. Id be more than happy to return all equipment.

      ADT Account number ***************** technician came out order ********* technician could not fix the problem, May order ********* technician canceled the order he had already been out here and knew that it could not be fixed. Spoke with ADT several times they was going to send me a refund because I hadn't been getting service and so they was going to back it to when I first said the service need to be disconnected because they wasn't fulfilling their contract and they was going to credit that back to me in a way of a check because I had to cancel my bank card to keep them out of my account, l needed the service to be stopped, I wasn't getting the service I was paying for. one time when I was talking to them and explaining that my service should have already been cut off, I told them do not take any more money out of my account because I'm not getting what I'm paying for, they took the money out that would have been I think in June and then I get a bill for $464.99 so I cancel my bank card because ADT had already taken out after I told them not to, I didn't know what else to do, contacted ADT again and then they started telling me that refund would go towards that early disconnect fee of $464.99 so we went over it again I should not have to pay for something that it's not my fault, they can't fulfill their contract it's really not there's either it is the cell service, so I'm not holding that against ADT it's the money aspect, they've threatened sending this to collections, I have sent them a dispute resolution form I just don't know what else to do, I do not owe this early disconnect fee it was them that breached their end of the contract and yes they do owe me a refund for the time that I've been paying for the service that I wasn't receiving. After applying my credit that should have came to me by check brought my bill that I should not owe to $174.56. If they put it in a collection agency I would also like that to be resolved.

      As I explained in my original complaint I never should have been charged for that early disconnect fee, I did not breach the contract, ADT failed to fulfill their side of the contract.
      They charged my account $464.99 early disconnect fee then they credited my account $290.43 that credit should have went straight back to me not to a disconnect fee that was improperly imposed, you have waived  the $174.56 which is the remaining of that disconnect fee, you need to reimburse my $290.43 by check through the mail, you cannot put it on my card, I had to cancel that card to stop ADT from taking unauthorized withdrawals out of my account.
      I would like to get this matter cleared ** in a timely fashion.

      I am rejecting this response because: ADT did not uphold there side of the contract, my house was not protected due to the system not connecting. they took money out of my account after being verbally told not to I had to cancel my card to stop them from continuing to remove money from my account, they will not return funds that was unauthorized. I do feel the public has a right to know about this practice. they was not the ones I learned from that my house was not being protected with ADT equipment.

      I recently had a Wisenet Camera System installed for my home that was not what I wanted & was falsely advertised by ADT agent. The agent that came to my house knew that I had 2 young kids age 1 & 3 & the sole purpose of installing a camera system that would notify me if they go out to the pool. Instead he installed this wisenet Camera system that I find out later is only meant to do 24 hour recording. And he didn't even install any motion detection. So when I tried to reach back to him the following day after it was installed that I was unhappy with the product, he did not respond. I went ahead & called ADT again & notified them that I was unhappy with the product b/c it did not have motion sensors. They ended up sending 3 agents to try to activate motion on it, but they couldn't configure it to detect objects/humans. Instead, It detects any type of motion including rain drops. I have called ADT multiple times to get refunded on this camera system or to switch it to a different camera system, which I find out later that the camera system they should have sold me was the ****** cameras. And a lot of the ADT agents that I talked to admit that the product that he sold me was fraudulent. However, they would not refund me for the camera system because they said it is too late for refund b/c it was past 3 days of installation, even though I have text messages with their agent that I was unhappy with their product the following day after it was installed. I am asking for a refund of this camera system or exchange to ****** camera system

The company is fraudulent & lying if they claim that I havent called multiple times seeking resolution which they havent able to respond. We received an update advising the local office manager connected with the camera manufacturer and the customer. An appointment is being scheduled to go over the settings with the current camera system.

The company is fraudulent & lying if they claim that I havent called multiple times seeking resolution which they havent able to respond.       ADT reached out to the customer, and the customer has decided to cancel the camera system. The customer paid the remaining balance for the equipment. As a goodwill, we offered to waive the early cancellation fees in the amount of $599.75. ************** was satisfied with the resolution.
