On August 15, I brought in my vehicle for a/c repair with ****** miles. The warranty covers up to ******. They physically noted the millage as did I with a photo on site. The earliest appointment they offered me was one month away. The man assisting me assured me "Not to worry this happens all the time." "Of course the mileage would be over ****** by the time of repair." Once the truck was in the shop they tell me they have no record of my mileage at time of the appointment. Although I, specifically, went over that issue when I made the appointment. The original appointment was a month out from the day it was brought in. That is on the dealer. Was I not supposed to drive my work truck to keep it under the 36k miles? Our state is scheduled to be hit with a hurricane tomorrow. Under these circumstances, I didn't have time to take it elsewhere and had to pay $791 to get the repair done. Said they could offer some partial hardship assistance after speaking to several different employees at the dealership. It should have been corrected under warranty. An air conditioner shouldn't need repair at that mileage.I want a refund.Initial Complaint

****** review lots of details available alongside documentation 10/1/24 UPDATE: [IMAGES TO FOLLOW] $55k 2021 F150 Lariat Purchase SOLD WITH KNOWN WATER AND BODY DAMAGE ****** (Manager) , General Manager (*****?) avoidance over a month; vacations every other week refuse to call back or leave message. KNOWN OF body/water leak damage - 2021 ************** F150 for reference. Will be sure to update with Images after repairs completed by a shop that didnt actively deceive me and refuse to stand behind their vehicle sale.Submit yourself a Better Business Bureau (BBB) report to accompany their D- rating and find yourself a good lawyer happy to refer.Only regret I have is directing so many individuals over the years to make their vehicle purchases here, going back to 2016Comedic how quickly two positive truck purchase experiences are soiled by refusal to stand behind their own certification process for a vehicle purchase in which all benefits were retained in house at Mullinax. Hilarious and pathetic.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2013 **** edge limited edition from ******** **** Apopka Florida in 2018. When I purchased the vehicle I was not aware of a safety recall of the Abs brakes module and tried to have them honor the recall. They would not get me the module and refused to fix the car because they keep telling me the part is on back order from ******************. The car is not safe to drive like this.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2023 **** Transit Connect XLT (brand new from the factory) that we ordered in 2022 from Mullinax ****. The vehicle came in and we were on vacation (March 2024). We had no idea when the vehicle would come in. We did let the salesperson know this and told them we could pick it up when we returned. Due to our work schedules, my wife had to pick it up because we felt a little rushed to pick it up, or they would put it up for sale. We paid cash for the vehicle ($40k). My wife drove the vehicle to our home, and we drove it to have tint put on the windows, then back home. Today, 5/20/2024, we started using the vehicle. The a/c didn't want to blow cold, just **** warm, the gasket at the bottom of the back doors is coming off, the vehicle is vibrating when stopped, and there is a rubber/plastic burning smell, the hood is extremely hot to the touch after driving it (almost where you can't lift the hood). My wife called the service ***** First appt is June 5th, no wiggle room, no asking if we could be put on a cancellation list, nothing. Contacted the salesperson, he tried to contact service and managers. All said they are booked up and nothing they can do. This is unacceptable for a brand new vehicle. I can't even drive the vehicle, the burning smell makes it unsafe to drive. This is Florida, where we are reaching feel like temps close to 110 already, so have to have ac as well (but this is secondary). When there is a safety issue, you would think a manager would reach out, but nothing at all. To me, it feels like we purchased a vehicle that they slapped together because it was the last year of production, and they don't care that it is unsafe because they already received the money for the transaction. This is no way to run a business. We just want the vehicle fixed so that it is safe to drive.Initial Complaint

I purchased a used **** Escape from Mullinax **** central florida in August 2023. It is a certified vehicle by them and has a powertrain warranty for at least a year. When I finalized the paperwork and went to get in the car it had a loud rattling noise, and the rpm's were lowering and raising when I got in it as if it was going to stall but didn't.I said "I don't like the sound of this I don't want to take it until it is fixed'***** the sales guy said you have a 'we owe you' for a replacement windshield since there are cracks and our glass guy is only in on Tuesdays. When you return for that he says " it's under warranty and will be fixed'.. What is important to note is I live 2 hrs away, getting a Tuesday off was not easy. After 3 scheduled appts with service failed because they couldn't guarantee a loaner or windshield guy was not able to come, I finally had an appt 4/23, they had to keep the car to hear the rattle never mentioned the rpm fluctuation when sitting still, said it was the muffler probably and I would have to pay (when it should have been fixed BEFORE I took it. *** of course muffler and rpms? To top it off they fought me on the *** for the windshield. Tried to get me to lie to get it covered through my insurance when the cracks were there pre-purchase!! Then no replacement window occurred only spot fixing and one crack wasn't fixed. Poorest most dishonest service I have ever received.**Please note the service department was really good and organized** There hands were tied by the dishonest manager, no integrity. Fighting an *** document they gave me for a full replacement window NOT spot fix and missing one completely. And the sales ***************** totally avoiding me the entire time. Never taking ownership nor calling me when service asked him to. I had to call him. The car never should have been sold with issues and I said it before I got in it. They knew I lived 2 hours away and worked 6-7 days per week. Shame on them. The need to repair it.Initial Complaint

We purchased a 2014 **** F150 that was supposed to be certified, inspected, with a complete safety inspection. Within the first few weeks there were problems with the tires losing air. The We immediately contacted Mullinax **** with no response to calls or emails. This continued until the present (2/10/24). They refused to take the calls. An inspection by an outside repair shop said the rims were not properly sealed causing the leak. Owner had a very serious tire blowout on an interstate. Even with that the dealer refuses to respond or provide promised warranty or proof of *************************Initial Complaint

The car was purchased on September 23, 2022, for $16,757.06. Mullinax sold a car that was to be a usable, reliable vehicle. After 6 months of use, the car has had numerous issues with multiple parts in the car. The vehicle has had to have the indicator replaced (replaced March 2023). ********** Pressure switch (replaced April 2023). Towed to Mullinax due to the fuel pump injector (replaced June 2023). Car fuses and diagnostics were completed in September, October, and November 2023 to figure out why the car battery was draining overnight. I have replaced the batter 4 different times. The car continued to have issues with multiple electrical features including the ** module (replaced in December 2023 and January 2024), Radio, Door regulator, and Body Control module. Many of the items had to be paid for out of pocket as the Assurant Gold warranty plan purchased through Mullinax **** did not provide coverage for the parts. I have been without transportation for 3 weeks. I also have had to purchase a rental to be able to get to and from work for most if not all of the occasions this car has been in the shop. I purchased this vehicle with the thought it would last longer than 6 months. I am now having to look for another car, but with this car having so many issues I am upside down more than half of what I owe if I can even sell it. During the time of all of these issues, Mullinax **** has only been able to take the car in to inspect it once in March of 2023. I have had to go to other auto shops for the car to be repaired. The salesperson also has shown a lack of care regarding this issue and has disregarded any of my concerns.Initial Complaint

Brought vehicle in for service to ****** **** early october (brand new 2023 **** maverick) with brake issues and heavy rust and unremovable hard water stains on brake discs and callipers and rotors. Slight adjustments were made and fixed at ******, issues then persisted a few days later. **** told me to bring to another dealership - Mullinax **** of ***************. Dealership was extremely rude and said tech could not reproduce the issues which was ridiculous because ****** already reproduced it just a couple of weeks before! ******* and ********************* sales manager and service consultant refused to provide GM contact information after telling me that no issues with the vehicle could be reproduced and that the "rust" and pulling/squeaking on the vehicle was "normal". Total nonsense, this is a brand new car I waited a year and a half for and simply followed ****'s instructions to bring it to another close by dealership! Finally after the very rude sales manager ******* refused again to give me GM contact info and hung up the phone on me 3 TIMES and cursed at me using profanity after being unwilling to fix and address the safety and braking issues as well as the heavy rust, I called **** customer service. **** finally got GM contact info to me. GM told me "do what you need to do" we arent fixing your vehicle, you can bring it elsewhere it is your problem. *** filed a complaint with **** corp as a dealership complaint, a complaint with the Florida attorney general for poor service and unethical business practices against dealership. ************************* is a terrible and rude GM as are many on his staff including ******* and they need better customer service training. Have left poor reviews online which will be removed once rectified. Case CAS4592311 and CAS46283525 are reference numbers. I want brakes fixed and rusted parts replaced on vehicle as it is brand new with only **** miles on the car! Needs to be rectified before this friday 11/24 when i need the vehicle for a trip.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:This is a complaint for corp hq which ive learned is in *******, i will not remove and will also be filing a dealership complaint as well as a complaint with the attorney general as well. My suggestion is to call *************** mullinax under the mullinax umbrella and get a resolution.

This vehicle was bought from ****** ***** He brought the vehicle in to them, and they could not find anything wrong. They put an appeal in to ***** and they turned it down that there is no problem. He then decided to take it to another dealer. Our store in Lake Park could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. We never did a repair to the vehicle. What did Mullinax do wrong? We did not sell him the vehicle, we confirmed what both ****** **** and **** Company is saying -- Nothing is wrong with the truck.

I am rejecting this response because:If there was nothing wrong with the truck i wouldnt be wasting this much time now would I? The breaks squeak badly and there is a lot of rust all over the discs and callipers, mullinax of central florida ive been told is corporate hq and that's why I am complaining. I WANT ONE **** DEALERSHIP IN SOUTH FLORIDA TO FIX THE ISSUE, IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR, WHY IS THAT SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND?!?!?

On October 20, 2019, I purchased a brand new 2019 Expedition *** from Mullinax ***** When I purchased the vehicle I entered the finance office where I was presented a menu that offered different packages that I could purchase in addition to the vehicle. These options ranged from a vehicle service contract (i.e. extended warranty), to GAP insurance, to a maintenance program. After talking with the finance manager, *********************, I agreed to purchase a vehicle service contract that would cover all listed components under the *************** ******************** Plan" This contract was presented as the closest contract available to the consumer that would act as a bumper to bumper warranty after the manufacturer warranty expired. The plan would last for 72 months (which is how many months I financed the vehicle for) or up to ******* miles with a $50 deductible. This is the coverage I was explained to as a consumer and voluntarily agreed to purchase and I had it included in my financing. From this point until August of ******************************** August of 2023 I had some things going on with the expedition that required me to bring it into the dealership for repair. When my local **** dealer went to file the claim I was told that the warranty I had wasn't the ************* but instead a "wrap" warranty. This is a type of warranty that dealerships sell when they give a "power train warranty" through the selling dealer. I found this odd because my selling dealer was over 2 hours away and I would not have agreed to that. Nevertheless, I called the dealership to see what my options were. Mullinax informed me that they did not offer any type of warranty and it was at that time I realized the wrong type of warranty was processed for my vehicle. I called and emailed Mullinax several times and I am continued to be ignored. I requested a copy of my menu and was not provided it. I filed a complaint with **** and had to pay $500 for a repair that was covered.
