    We booked a vacation rental with Amelia Island Vacations, through ****, on 4/14/22. We occupied the vacation rental for the week of June 17 -24, 2023. The total we paid for this week rental is $5,174.42.

    Renter beware!! Worst Vacation Ever!!

    Great location, great price, but poorly maintained property to the point that we left days early for safety reasons. Upon arrival the back sliding door was very difficult to slide and would get stuck in an open position which is certainly not acceptable if you have small children or pets as we did. The next day an exterior door handle fell off such that the deadbolt could not be locked or unlocked properly. The day after that a rotten plank on the board walk broke when walking over it. Fortunately no injury occurred, but one certainly could have since this happened at a spot were we were at a second story height off the ground. If all of that wasn’t enough, the next day a tub would not drain properly and caused a leak into the ceiling below were a plumber found an electrical junction box being exposed to this water, as well as, an uncapped electrical line ending into nothing! The management company initially tried to get things repaired, they became unresponsive when we voiced concerns about the safety of the house due to the water leak/electrical issues. We decided to move our family over the safety concerns. To our amazement, at no time during this whole ordeal did any one from the management company offer any discount or alternative accommodations. We have submitted a detailed list of our concerns/issues, but have yet to receive any response from the management company.

    The area manager did nothing to solidify our situation. They managed the property we stayed in from February 3rd-7th 2023.

    I was a guest on the **** reservation and while staying there at their property on Amelia island, the hot water did not work in one shower, then electricity went off and they could not get us an electrician out so moved us to another property that had no ice maker, no views of the ocean and no noise of the ocean that we paid for as well as one and a half baths instead of 2 baths. The manager was horribly rude and unprofessional.
