Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value”.
Tickets-Center was in contact with our customer and offered a one-time courtesy resolution in the interest of customer service. Our customer has accepted this as an amicable resolution; as such, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has any additional concerns relating to their order, we welcome them to contact our customer service department.

I got online after deciding we wanted to travel to Arizona to see the Mariners play in spring training. I googled mariners spring training ticket and went to the website I thought was the spring training website. I purchased 7 tickets to 2 games and then went back later wanting to get tickets to another game. There were many tactics trying to rush me such as a count -down clock and messages saying there were not many tickets remaining and a certain amount had been bought in the last hour from people in my area. I finally realized I had not bought from the mariners tickets website and had paid more than triple the amount. There were plenty of tickets still available, so it is a complete scam to make you hurry through your decision and make a purchase you normally would not have. As the games gets closer, the account I had to set up to get my tickets says I have one upcoming event. I probably won't even get all the tickets after paying all that money for nothing.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customers’ concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Independent resale tickets, prices may be above face value.”

Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Spring Training - Seattle Mariners at Cincinnati Reds, they were able to see the tickets available. Once selected, they are taken to a page with an in-depth description of their ticket information, event details, ticket quantity, delivery method and any other notes related to the tickets. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location  and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of [$357.50 & $539.50] in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. Some venues may require proof of vaccination or negative COVID test. You are responsible for checking venue health and safety requirements for entry." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged [$357.50 & $539.50] which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. It is also important to note that our terms state: The 100% Guarantee means (i) that your transaction will be safe and secure, (ii) the tickets will be delivered prior to the event, (iii) the tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than the tickets you ordered, and (iv) the tickets will be valid and authentic.”

Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

I purchased tickets to Hamilton 12/29/2023 at 6:49PM from Tickets Center.com for the 8PM March 8, 2024 performance at Koger Center. Order number 60563468. At the time I thought I was purchasing from an affiliate of the venue but became concerned when they would not verify. my seats. I paid $618.95 for two tickets. When I reached out to the box office of the venue I was told I was scammed and scalped and that plenty of seats were available that night for $139-29.50. I contacted the website immediately around 8:30 PM on 12/29/2023 and spoke to John only to be told no refund would be made available despite the order not even being processed yet and him admitting they do not actually have my tickets yet and he could not verify any details on the seats, etc. Please assist in this matter to get my money back so I can buy legitimate tickets to this event. SC has scalping laws as well. Thank you for your time.

I just purchased what was represented as "VIP Lot" Parking directly across the street from the Amway Venue in Orlando Florida. The premium price of $79 plus fees (total charge $109.50) seemed to match the location as represented by the icon on their map. AFTER I completed my purchase the parking ticket was emailed to me however based on the address now provided it is actually located 3 blocks away from where it was being shown on the map. I purposely selected the garage for an elderly grandparent who is unable to walk well. Only to find out after the sale was complete and my credit card charged, that what I was sold was completely different than what was displayed on their website. It was a total misrepresentation of the goods sold.

I thought I was purchasing tickets through the Colorado Symphony website searching the Ticket Office. I selected tickets after searching for the tickets that I thought were through the CO Symphony. After the purchase I saw the tickets were through a this third party provider which doubled the value of the tickets even though tickets were not sold out from the CO Symphony. The website that I purchased through did not provide the seat numbers of the 3 tickets I was attempting to purchase so I entered my email address and then entered information for billing as it site said my account would not be charged. I selected paypal as my method of billing and ultimately was charged for the tickets. I immediately called the company after realizing that I had been charged and the customer service rep stated "all sales are final and that I could resell them myself." Shady business practices here. I contacted paypal and paypal said the the vendor recieved payment so there was nothing they could do to recover the amount charged which included excessive fees.

On December 7, 2023, I purchased 2 tickets to a basketball game (Lobos vs Aggies) for January 16th. I don't attend sports events, nor purchase event tickets often, but wanted to surprise my husband. Therefore, I had no idea what to expect for ticket prices, nor did I know that there were unscrupulous ticket vendors. I was charged $234.95 for 2 tickets. I just downloaded the tickets and on the ACTUAL tickets themselves is printed "PRICE: $30.00." I understand that there may be some kind of fees tacked on to any tickets from sellers, but four times as high seems highly unscrupulous. I'd like the price adjusted for standard markup, which I read is (on the higher end) 40% not 400%!!!

I believe I am a victim of price gouging. I purchased concert tickets on 1/1/24. I thought I was on Ticketmaster's website, but was mistaken. I purchased two tickets for the below event and was charged $99.00 for each ticket. The price on Ticketmaster is $39.00 per ticket. I tried to cancel the tickets with TicketsCenter but was told all sales are final. My only recourse is to re-sell the tickets, which is illegal because they are well-over the ticket price at the venue.

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address the customer's concerns and clarify our policies. Tickets-Center is not affiliated with, nor does our site imitate, any primary site. On the top of the home page as well as every event page it is clearly stated: "Fast, easy and secure secondary marketplace tickets. Prices may be above or below face value."

As stated in our initial response, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, "I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. As stated previously, our customer's order was appropriately fulfilled with tickets they selected and aligns with our 100% Guarantee.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. They failed to honor a 20% purchase discount that was offered on subsequent purchases, and failed to offer any way to stop a mistaken purchase once it was in process, or to resolve it once live help was reached within ten minutes. There is no way to get a manager or decision maker to the phone or to reply to phone/email. If it's not criminal it's as close at it gets.

I accidentally purchased Trevor Noah tickets for Thu., 1/11/24 for $394 after purchasing the pair correctly for Fri., 1/12/24. There was no way to stop the transaction once I realized the mistake, either electronically or live with cust. service. There was no way to transfer to the purchase to the second pair or Fri. tickets either. Afterward, I received the Friday tickets, but weeks later, still had not received the Thu. tickets, despite several calls and emails with customer service. My only option was to try to resell the Thu. tickets, which they don't let you do through their site. And they do not require the seller to transfer the tickets until two days before the show, effectively preventing your ability to resell the tickets.

Weeks later, with no tickets, I asked AMEX to help me dispute. Once this dispute was in place, I received an email with a picture of tickets, but they are still not live, transferable tickets. Since they aren't in my Ticketmaster account (because it turns out this company is not part of Ticketmaster), I also cannot resell them.

Tickets-Center will not discuss or help while the dispute is active, and even having deactivated the dispute, they will not help retrieve the tickets. They are given a script to "call your financial institution" and steadfastly hold it like robots.

Please warn consumers not to do business with this horrible company. They pose as an affiliated company they are not, and set out to screw the buyer at every turn. Dispicable business practice.

Prices may be above face value”

At the time of purchase, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, "I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the order summary below. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. [..]" Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking "Place Order", your credit card will be charged $365.50  which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center does own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control the ticket delivery date. Rather, the estimated ship date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation. Furthermore, since we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers, ticket listing prices are set by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors. As noted above, this means that the price paid may not reflect the price listed through other markets.

It should also be noted, tickets for our customer's event were transferred electronically through a third-party platform to the email address they provided during checkout on 12/7/23 at 9:33 AM CST. The email customer received contains instructions and a link to claim their tickets. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Regards,

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
**In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.

I just received the letter from Tickets-Center.com claiming that they/the tickets seller forwarded tickets electronically on Dec. 7, 2023.  This is not true.  The sellers successfully transferred tickets to me for two shows I purchased to Trevor Noah on Jan. 12, 2024 and this took place on 12/7.  I never successfully received the pair of tickets I bought for the January 11, 2024 show.  I called or emailed Tickets-Center.com for help nearly every day until the day of the show.  The transfer I finally received just before the show date was invalid and the tickets couldn’t be transferred into my account or used.  Instead, it said that the tickets had been claimed already by another email address that wasn’t mine.  I tried repeatedly to call and get help from Tickets-Center, and also emailed with their customer service, but they never resolved the problem.I just want to ensure this complaint is visible to the public so they can make an informed decision about where they want to purchase tickets.  I wish I would have known before doing business with Tickets-Center.com.Thank you.  -K

I bought concert tickets through this website only to find that they are a reseller/ticket scalping service. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. They charge 2x the ticket price plus ridiculous ticket delivery charges ($30 for mail delivery as the only option). Attempted to cancel my order through their customer service chat and was told that they cannot, even though I have not received tickets and the event has not passed.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. Tickets-Center’s marketplace allows sellers to resell their tickets in a secure, controlled e-commerce environment. Many of our professional resellers own season tickets for various teams or venues, or have direct business partnerships with teams, venues, and promoters. As a result, they are able to provide premium tickets or passes to events when tickets on other platforms are not available.

As a secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. Tickets-Center facilitates thousands of successful transactions each day with satisfied customers, so we are confident in the transparency of our checkout process. Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they are directed to input their email address and they are again presented with the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date of 12/28/2023. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. Our checkout process allows each customer several opportunities to view all details of an order, including the estimated delivery date of their tickets, prior to purchase. Due to the nature of our business as a secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center therefore does not set or control delivery dates. Rather, the estimated delivery date is set by the individual seller of the selected tickets and is dependent upon a number of factors, including when the tickets are released by the primary issuer based on demand, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation.

It should also be noted, tickets for our customer's event were transferred electronically through a third-party platform to the email address they provided during checkout on 12/29/23 at 10:24 AM CST. The email customer received contains instructions and a link to claim their tickets. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.
