Bought membership thinking it would help with driving privileges in *****(NOT) so never was able to use their services. I felt a little scammed but found out 2years later they really did scam me by charging my card for renewing service that I didnt agree on, nor would they refund the 2 unauthorized charges for a service that provided NOTHING, beware

I was signing up for this thinking I could get some discount gift cards and enter some sweepstakes. Possibly use some other benefits. Every time I would try and purchase a gift card, enter a sweepstakes, or use my points for any reason I would get an error code. Any type of payment I would try and use it would say there was a problem with it or that the system was to busy. The app and website both had these issues and constantly had glitches that would log me out of my account. After searching online it seems that this is a regular problem that many people have had before I ever signed up and somehow after a year is still not fixed. The only good upgrade I was able to find was a button to delete my account. Before you would have to call to do this. Poor quality and a waist of money

i called and purchased an AARP auto policy with Hartford I paid $242 down start the policy and my premium was $1190 for six months. My monthly payment was supposed to be $239 a month until December 23, 2025. On July 23,, 2025 they the ******** on June 23, 2debited $239, on August 23, 2025 they debited $239, then on September ******* they automatically debited $1059.05 from my checking without contacting me. Once I found out through my bank statement i contacted them regarding this unauthorized transaction. I spoke with ****** in Customer ********************** who was very combative and unprofessional, I asked for a Supervisor. I was transferred ******** a Customer ********************** Supervisor and spoke with her regarding my concerns. ******** said on August 12, 2025 they changed my minimum liability coverage to Full Coverage which in turn raised my premium from $1190 to $2590 for the 6 months. This happened without my consent or knowledge. And they did all this without my consent. I did not sign anything giving them the right to raise my rates and if this was going to happen then they should have contacted me regarding these changes before automatically debiting my bank account. ******** went on to tell me that Texas Law required them to change my policy from Liability to full coverage but according to Texas Law we are only need the minimum liability which is what i initially had and was paying for in June. July, and August of 2025. I asked for a refund of this fraudulent and unauthorized charge and she refused saying what's done is done. I explained to ******** this is a violation of the ************************ Act, the Texas Business and Commercial code as well the Deceptive Trade Practices of the Consumer Protection Act. All I asked for was a refund which she vehemently refused which in turn led tome cancelling my policy. I explained that i was over charged $955 which you can see from my previous three payments in June, July, and August. Stay away from this company. refusing refund

AARP United Health RX dropped me for non payment. I went to my bank to get copies of checks they cashed but no one can tell me a phone number where I can call the billing department in ************, ******** to tell them I am sending proof of payment. They told me I can't rejoin until January 1st. In the mean time I have to pay cash for all my drugs. I sent proof of payment to their PO BOX already but there is no mention of that in my profile when I talk with the representatives. I was be4ing helped for 2 hours by one man and then we got disconnected.

I have repeatedly asked AARP to stop mailing me requests to restart my membership, that I cancelled many months ago.Hopefully today's call will be my final attempt. I will however, continue to let people know my negative opinion of AARP's "mission" : Excessive compensation for their executive staff and an unhealthy alliance with predatory insurance companies.Thank you

I relied on the information on the AARP website to be accurate. AARP website shows member benefits including restaurant coupons and discounts. AARP website contains a coupon of 10% off total bill for New China Buffet on *************, **. The coupon expires 14 day from the date of printing of the coupon. Today, I printed the coupon and dined at the food establishment on the same date. However, upon presenting the coupon to New China Buffet, they declined the coupon and advised that they neither authorized nor paid AARP regarding any coupons. As a matter of fact, they stopped promoting the restaurant with coupons for quite some time. New China Buffet admits that they have had other customers tried using coupons but they do not honor them. They do not feel that it is their responsibility to ask AARP to take down the 10% coupon from their website. There is only one New China Buffet on *************. The restaurant has relocated from their old location to a new location for a few years now. This is deceptive practice of AARP advertising member benefits but provide fictitious discounts to its members.

AARP Customer ********************** and support of its members is deplorable. They support and have a relationship with United Healthcare, who are equally inept. I contacted AARP to help me with an issue/refund from UHC and I got absolutely no assistance whatsoever. *** told me I would receive a refund for a dental service but they lied and AARP was no help. I have UHC for my Medicare coverage now but will be leaving *** in October. I will also never renew my AARP membership. AARP does nothing but take your money. In no way are they supportive. ***, The BBB is an awesome organization, they have helped me in many ways in the past several years.
