In April 2019 I purchased an extended warranty from Schomp Subaru on S. Havana St. The warranty was never submitted but instead it was voided in May of 2019. I never received any notification from the dealership and no check was issued for the voided warranty, 6 years passed before I found out when having my car serviced. Had the contract gone full term with no claim Schomp Subaru in *************** would have made 3k in addition to the sale. As it is, they charged me 3k for a 10 yr warranty, voided the contract then 6 years later they called it "an error", paid the 3rd party a prorated sum for the 4 remaining years (a bit over $1100) then pocketed $1800.00 in profit! I spent a 20+ years working at a corporate level accounting department. Lucrative errors like this are hard to miss on the books and why no refund when it was voided. seems like a scam to me.

Schomp has some of the worst customer service representatives I have ever seen before. A one star rating is too high. They got my number from a third party website and have not stopped harassing me, even calling on Sundays. Aly is the sales person's name and she must be awful at selling cars because she has called, texted, or emailed me over 25 times in the span of ********************************************************* writing, they continued to call me eight more times. The last time was today which has prompted me to leave these reviews. I will continue to bad mouth Schomp Automotive, leave reviews wherever I can and never recommend this company to any one I know looking to buy a new or used vehicle. Stay away from this dealer, they don't care one bit about people, only sales sales sales.

It has come to my attention that Schomp is now charging a 2% credit card fee for *************** & will not accept checks. For a company this size this is outrageous. Whats next? They wont take cash either?

Schomp's service department displayed a highly unprofessional and suggestive of racial bias delivery of auto repair. The following is a list of the egregious errors that left my family feeling mistreated for no obvious reason, except racial bias. That list:1. When putting in a new engine they actually left the old engine pan IN THE VEHICLE, leaving it for us to dispose of and doing damage to the interior itself (oil and dirt stains).2. They lost the keyfob for our Viper security system and refused to reimburse us for a new one.3. Having lost the fob, to gain entry to the vehicle they completely ruined the driver side keyhole.4. The engine light went off a matter of days after the new engine had been installed. The explanation given was that these things happen with mechanical devices. They claimed additionally that it was the O2 sensor but somehow this was unconnected to the engine (despite causing the error to register with the engine light?).There is a sign in their car bay that says they are not responsible for damage to cars. And that holds when they cause that damage? Absolutely terrible experience. Warning: If you are a person of color you will quite possibly receive sub-standard treatment from their service team, and even insulting nonchalant repairs to the point of destruction of your vehicle. And to top it all off was the entitled attitude the service manager (****) displayed. We were not customers who should count on a reasonably pleasant experience, rather we were underlings who probably shouldn't have come to ***** Schomp Hyundai. It is this latter that ended up being the most accurate assessment of our encounter with this service team. We shouldn't have come.

I bought my X3 in August of 2020. I have been a long term supporter of *** and so is my family and extended family. After this experience, I plan on selling my vehicle. This last October the *** module went out. What ensued was a 2 week saga of incompetence, inconvenience, frustration, back and forth trips to Lakewood (1.5 hr trip) and a significant lack of communication with my service advisor, *************************. After taking this to the Parts and Service Manager, *************************, this experience somehow managed to get worse despite him claiming to want to come to some sort of resolution. After walking him through the bullet points (trust me, this was a lengthy qccount including having the car towed to them and them being unable to locate it), he then argued with me over battery replacement. I fully understand that warranties in this industry will not cover battery replacement. And fair enough, if it were from normal wear and tear, I'd have no problem replacing it myself. The trouble is: the battery was killed as part of the *** module going out and being repaired. After the lengthy, frustrating process, I would have expected more empathy and a greater attempt at restoring my faith in my vehicle and in the brand. This did not occur. The service manager proceeded to argue with me over a $200 battery plus an additional $200+ to re-program (again, even though this was damaged in the process of repairing the vehicle). He continued to ask me if I approved the service of replacing the battery. yes, of course. The only alternative option would be to have the car towed (for the 3rd time) to replace it myself only to have it towed back to *** for reprogramming. Regardless of whatever your policy is, it *****. Its shady and so are your service folks. All in all, I plan on selling my car asap. Do not trust these people with servicing your car. You will be swindled and disappointed. Also check out their BBB complaints. The service department has many.

Hello, ******. We are disappointed that you were unable to connect with our General Manager, *****************************, and reach a mutually agreeable resolution. We wish you the best of luck and should we be any type of vehicle resource for you in the future, please let us know. Thank you, take care.
